Hi @AndrewTheGreat,
The fix for this bug went out in 23.2. As noted above, it will export a frame of the original source media if proxies are toggled off. If they're toggled on, it will export the proxy. Just verified it was working locally for me. Are you seeing something different?
Best,
David

Hello,
Thanks for reporting this! I'm not able to reproduce this on my end. Hoping to understand a bit more about your workflow.
Do you have any custom ingest presets installed on your machine? If you look in /Users/USERNAME/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/24.0/Profile-CREATIVE_CLOUD_USERNAME/Settings/Ingest Presets/, are there any .epr files there?
How are you creating proxies? Right click>Proxy>Create Proxies or via ingest settings set in File>Project Settings>Ingest Settings?
Do you see this in a new project? Or are these projects that were created in a previous version of Premiere?
If you right click on one of the clips where this has happened and go to "Properties," can you paste the output here? Feel free to obscure or remove pathname/filenames that might have personally identifiable info.
Finally, does this still happen if you reset your preferences? Note that this will wipe out things like your keyboard shortcuts, so please be sure to back those up if you try this.
Thanks again!

Thanks, @scrozier (and glad you like the new workflow)! I've filed a bug on this. As far as I can tell, once you've changed the width and height away from the default values for the first time, this problem goes away (unless/until you reset your preferences). But you say "it will then render at 1280 x 720 but not every time." I'd love to get a little more information about that, especially if you can consistently make it happen.

Thanks for reporting this, Beatrix.
I just want to be sure I understand the problem:
You have a sequence with in/out points set for a certain portion of the sequence
You go to Premiere's Export Mode
For "Range," you select Source In/Out - Do the in/out points that you see in the preview area of the export screen match the in/out points you set in your timeline?
You then press Export
Premiere exports a portion of the timeline that's different than the in/out points you set. And it always seems to export the same portion of the timeline, correct? And I just want to be sure that it's actually exporting part of the timeline and not another clip from the project panel?
Would you be able to attach a screenshot of Export Mode before you press "Export?"
Thanks.

Thanks for all this great info, @rgonzalezhoms. I'm trying to get to the bottom of this.
I have a few more questions for you:
Is this happening 100% of the time and in the same place on the sequence(s) where you've experienced this?
Does it happen if you export directly from Premiere (press Export instead of send to Media Encoder). Not suggesting this as a workaround, just trying to get a handle on when this is and isn't happening.
You mentioned that this is happening on a new sequence from a template. Does that new sequence contain MOGRTs at all?
This is going to sound a bit strange, but bear with me here: Is the behavior any different if you use the menu command/keyboard shortcut (command-m) to get to Export Mode versus clicking on "Export" in the header bar to get there?

This sounds like it could be an issue we've heard about but have so far been unable to reproduce. I'm trying to collect information to see if we can find commonalities between users experiencing this. Would you mind answering a few questions about your setup?
Mac or Windows? OS Version and, if Mac, processor type (Intel, ARM)
Are you using any external control surfaces?
How are you opening your project? Using one of the Open options within Premiere (File>Open or via the Home Screen) or double clicking the project file from Finder/Explorer?
Do you have any third party effects or panels installed?
Thank you for your help!
