Apparently my company coincidentally introduced a ban on all AI this week and (presumably) blocked the Adobe generative AI servers via the firewall, hence the error message. So I guess this feature is no longer available to me. 😞 Please ignore this ticket as it's essentially a red herring.

Still not fixed on 06-Feb-25 at 07:56 in UK. Affects PS 26.3.0 (also fails in 25.12.1 and 25.0) on Win11. I've logged out of all CC apps, uninstalled and re-installed PS 26.3.0 today but no change in result.

Souvik, yes it is a company-provided device. My point was that contacting my organization's IT team to get the application configured per my needs is a workaround and an unnecesary waste of time doing something that should work out of the box when Acrobat itself was installed. Please fix. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Indeed, I have the same problem. Clicking Preflight states that it needs to be downloaded then minutes later it fails with an error about not being able to install it and from then on, the left hand menu pane is devoid of all tools and needs a reboot to fix. Grrrrrrr..... I suspect it's something to do with admin rights (which I don't have) and that the Acrobat installation doesn't handle failure properly, so just goes into some indeterminate state and stops the software working properly. In 2024, why is is so difficult to just add Preflight to the Creative Cloud apps and be done with it?!? If I have the rights to install any CC app, why does Acrobat block a plugin?

I think the secret for the use case of cutting tens of pages with a mechanical guillotine, is to print the standard crop marks, align to the appropriate guillotine edge (side or end), cut one edge and rotate 90 degrees and repeat until complete. I originally suffered the OP's problem, due to cutting the short edges first (to reduce the cutting length and therefore manual force required by a large guillotine) which meant the marks for the other 2 sides had already been removed.
