I realise that. I offered extra information as your post did not mention removal of activated devices and / or how that affects or resolves the problem (for anyone, like me, reading many threads on the issue). Thanks.

After a crash this was a persistent issue for me. Eventually I cleared everything from the list at Activated Devices (one device) and the issue was resolved. Go here, and remove devices : https://account.adobe.com/activated-devices Hope that helps.

I had an issue with tihs, I would log each device out via the CC app and closing programs, but nothing changed. I resolved the issue by cleared everything from the list at Activated Devices (while logged into Adobe.com) Go here, and remove devices : https://account.adobe.com/activated-devices I removed everything on the list (which was only one device). This device then ran Adobe Indesign normally without the error window. Hope this helps.
