My Color palette is not viewing correctly and I'm not seeing any details in my Character palette when I have text highlighted. This only happened since the most recent update.

I have been using a workflow on my iMac for a couple of years now with little to no issue, exporting a CSV address list with particular images to combine with specific lines in the CSV. No issues till the update to INDD24. Now the placed image changes position in my exported PDF. Reverted to an older version using the same files and had no issue. The vertical line in the above screen shot is meant to be centered on the page, left to right, however it seems to have centered the art. I did notice the install of the new version overwrote my preferences with default settings. Is this possibly something from that situation? Thanks

Did you just update to INDD 24? Are you saving to your HD or a Server? Try saving to an alternate location and or changing the file name.

So basically tehe AI part of the file and the PDF part of the file had different content? Yes, the PDF is print/cut template that I use linked new AI files to replace art for simple positioning. Yes this is also saved to a network server. Thank you Monika! I guess "Save As" is the best option

I am wondering if anyone has had an issue with links not updating correctly in AI? I have a workflow where I have take print ready AI artwork in single page format into an AI PDF for a print imposition and diecutting. I have to use AI because the diecutting unit is operated from an AI extension. So to speed things up I use "Links" to avoid movement and scale issues, it works pretty well with no issues up to date. I have rarely ever had to make post approval edits but recently I made an edit to the original print ready file and saved it. Then opened the multi-up AI diecutting/printing PDF template and the "Links" automatically updated and I saw this because I checked each image to ensure the edit had carried over, it had, then I hit save and closed the PDF file. I then noticed the modification date had not changed from previous. I opened the PDF in AI again and the edits were still in place, I closed said file and opened it in Acrobat, the edits were no longer in place, the file looked exactly as it did prior to my edits. I closed the PDF in Acrobat and opened again in AI, edits are done, the "Links" appear as the edited AI file shows. I "Save As" and overwrite the PDF template, then open in Acrobat. New PDF looks fine. Edits are showing. It was a little thing but wondered if this has affected anyone else?

I had the same issue with 27.4.1 update, it seems to have turned off the "Show Bounding Box". Took me a while to figure it out but back up to speed now.

Thank you all for your help but I have created a work around. Instead of saving from AI to PDF, I just open Acrobat and create a PDF from the AI file.

On a MAC and no network operations when saving. I'm saving directly to a directory on my HD. Then copy PDF files over to our server, redundancy for lost and overwritten files by irresponsible team members. I also have an older version of AI on a PC and I am not having the same issues with that version.

Illustrator and only when saving as an "illustrator default" pdf. I just changed to saving as a "High Quality Print" and the dialogue box didn't appear.

I am saving an AI file as a PDF. I keep the 2 separate so others in my team can look at and print those files from PDF but they don't need to be messing with original art so I keep that in AI. It has only been happening since the 27.3.1 update.

This is beginning to get really frustrating, I'm seeing this almost 40 or 50 times per day since a recent update. I have absolutely no intention of using this service and would love to know how to stop this dialogue box from ever appearing again. Please any help would be very much appreciated.
