@S. S This does NOT fix the issue at all. You clearly aren't understanding the question. We don't want to change the size of the text in the EDIT COMMENTS box, we want to change the size of the text of EXISTING COMMENTS in the COMMENT LIST/PANE. I'll save everyone the trouble of checking back here. There is no (currently) way to change the size of the comment list text in Acrobat DC when using the "old Acrobat" interface. You can change the resolution of your display to make everything appear larger, but I suspect few people want to do that. However, if you switch to the "new Acrobat" interface, the text appears much larger in the list view, and from what I can tell, it actually respects the comment font/size preferences. The only problem (in my opinion) is that the "new Acrobat" interface is confusing, cumbersome, bloated and takes up a lot of unnecessary space. In short, it's horrible.

Except they haven't fixed it. It continues to be an issue under Sequoia and the latest version of InDesign.

I'm running macOS 14.3.1 and the latest version of InDesign and it is most decidedly not fixed. But full disclosure: I didn't even start having this problem until 14.3.1 was installed, along with ID 19.2.

If this is a "Apple/Sonoma" bug, then why is InDesign the ONLY app that has this problem for me – along with the page view moving to the far left of the screen by itself, and the page view scrolling by a few pixels up and to the left every time I click on anything on the page. I don't really care who is to blame or why... all I know is, InDesign is the only app that suffers from this and so many others that they claim is an OS bug.

In the last week, InDesign started displaying odd behavior redrawing the screen when GPU Preview is turned on. For example: When I create a new document, draw a simple square graphic frame, then use the direct selection tool to grab one control point of the frame and start dragging it; the entire screen turns bright magenta. I can still edit the frame, but I can't see the page itself. If the document had other things on the page, they would be completely hidden by this magenta redraw bug. In many cases, just drawing the frame itself the screen is covered with the magenta color while I'm holding the mouse button down and dragging. Once I release the mouse button, the screen redraws to normal view. I can't even do a screen capture to post here because in order to do that, I have to release the mouse button to do it. Turning OFF GPU Preview fixes the issue for me, but I don't want my CPU doing all the heavy lifting. Any ideas or suggestions?

Is it possible they're Adobe fonts that keep auto-activating every time you open those particular documents?

Thanks for the response, @Madisson35085708zhgw - We're talking about Photoshop. And as everyone in this thread has pointed out, you cannot customize the Channels shortcuts. For whatever reason, Adobe has decided that these specific shortcuts are untouchable. You can't even override them using a 3rd-party key binding app (none that I've tried, anyway) because Photoshop prioritizes its own shortcuts.

There is no way to override the Channels shortcuts. Check the Legacy Shortcuts box doesn't override anything, it just changes a few of them to a different key combo (which you also can't override). I can't believe this is still an issue in 2024.

I don't even have that option. Never have. I'm running macOS 14.1 on an M1 Max and Adobe Acrobat DC (Pro) Continuous Release, Version 2023.006.20360. I've tried resetting preferences, re-installing Acrobat completely... nothing works.

This just started happening to me a few days ago as well. I've been running Sonoma since it's release and it was working fine. Filtering ANYTHING doesn't work, doesn't matter if it's checkmarks, name, type, etc. None of the filters work. Adding this to the complete disappearance of scrollbars, and the obscenely sensitive scrolling speed on my list of reasons to find an alternative to Acrobat. So frustrating.

OMG, turning off RightFont auto-activation solved it for me as well. I hadn't even considered trying that because the problem didn't just occur when dealing with font layers. I've had the blinking cursor problem in Illustrator as well, so I'm off to check to see if this solves the problem there as well.

And after the last two updates where it was fixed, it is now back to blinking constantly. I should note that it only blinks while it is not being actively used (i.e., it doesn't blink while I have text selected, but starts blinking the moment I switch tools to something else or deselect the text). I'm wondering if this is an Apple Silicon video issue.

I would love it if the new Contextual Bar could remember that I pinned it to a specific location across restarts, but that's just a small fix to the larger problem of it should be either its own Panel, or part of the Properties Panel, which is also contextual. AND, the bar constantly "blinks". Still. After several updates the bar stopped blinking, but in the last two updates it is back to constantly blinking. Turning off Native Canvas in Technology Preview prefs does not solve the problem.

I had thought of the same thing, so I checked all of the XML files. Not a single one contains anything like the text referred to in this thread. It occurs to me that I prefer the Application Frame much more than I am annoyed by the stupid Application Bar we're talking about, so I'm not putting a whole lot of effort into this anymore anyway.

@Frans v.d. Geest I also found that line, but changing "false" to "true" does nothing anyway.

Selecting the Advanced workspace in the latest version of InDesign (on a Mac, anyway) doesn't hide the bar in question.

Unfortunately, none of these lines of text exist (nor does the en_GB folder) in the latest version of InDesign on the Mac.

That's not what we're talking about here. We're referring to the giant useless amount of space taken up by the App Bar (which contains nothing more than the Home button, Tutorials button, Workspace dropdown menu, and Adobe Stock Search bar).

How did you do that? I can't find a way to hide the app bar. Also, tearing it off only appears to work when you aren't using the Application Frame setting (which kills the whole idea for me). That entire toolbar/application bar is such an incredible waste of space, I wish Adobe would just kill it.

The beta has been updated since my post, and I am no longer experiencing the issue. For what it's worth, I had that feature turned off (unchecked). Apple Mac Studio M1 Max, 64GB RAM, macOS 13.4, Adobe Photoshop beta 24.7.0 The Contextual Task Bar is in a constant state of "blinking" – even with a newly created document with nothing but a white background fill. It's absolutely nauseating.

Thanks for suggesting I check that. It was indeed the problem, though I can't for the life of me figure out how it got switched, as I never ever have the need to do so. Is that an application or document-specific preference?

In the last two updates to InDesign CC, I've had the issue of the text cursor not landing where I click to select text. In other words, I click to the right of a letter to select the letter to the left of the cursor, but the cursor actually "lands" to the left of the letter that I clicked to the right of. For example, if I click to the right of the letter K below and try to select it, the cursor actually lands between the S and K, and I of course end up selecting the S instead of the K: ASK This ONLY happens in InDesign, and I KNOW this is a bug because I've seen a ton of forum topics around the creative blogosphere talking about it. I'm just wondering if anyone here has figured out the problem, and a solution.

Unfortunately InDesign and Acrobat don't play well together when it comes to Interactive PDFs. As Mike Witherell mentioned, FormMagic is an option (a very good one), but it's $15 per month, so you kind of have to do a lot of forms to make it worth the investment.

I noticed the word "Library" used here. Have you tried completely removing the Library from your installation? Also, you are running the latest version of software on a nearly ten-year-old Mac, with a (I believe) spinning hard drive and a video card with barely enough RAM to be useful (nowadays). I'm surprised you find InDesign to run acceptably even when you're not connected to a server.

I'm having this same issue with 16.4.0.54 version of InDesign CC and macOS Big Sur 11.6. InDesign's cursor flickers uncontrollably whenever it hovers over an object control point, menu item, or anything that the cursor can activate, select or control by clicking.
