Question

How do you edit posts

I recently made a post in the community and wanted to edit it, but I didn't see the option and ended up replying to my original post instead. I saw an old thread that said that ability unlocks at a certain level. What level is that? I've been a contributor since 2019 with around 60 posts and have a "top commenter" badge. Thanks!

i don't know that answer, but am surprised it requires more than 10 (let alone 60) posts.

Thanks for the reply! I found an older post by a poster with 28 posts asking the same thing, and someone said that didn't meet the editing threshold. Another post by a CE said the exact number was "hidden, unknown to other users."

I only asked because I thought that feature used to be available, but I don't post all that frequently, and if the policy changed, that makes sense why I wouldn't have noticed. Thanks again!

Did you click on MORE preceded by 3 dots?

Once the OPs post has received a reply, I don't think the OP can delete it. But it should be Editable, if that status has been reached.

Hi Nancy. I wanted to follow up to let you know that I disabled my adblocker and created an original post in this community (using this community) and the "more" option isn't there.

I used Safari on MacOS 15.3.2 (just released today) to create and look for the "more" button. I also don't see it in the latest version of Chrome or DuckDuckGo either.

After posting, I immediately reported the post and asked the mods to delete it. I hope that helps. If you need me to try anything else, please let me know.
