Question

[locked] Help manuals for Adobe Products

Because I see no place on the Adobe Web site to post a question of this sort, I'm asking it here:

Am I the only one out there who thinks it's outrageous that customers who are updating to InDesign CS5 have to pay $50 for the help manual? Since when does software not come with built-in help or online access to help? I'm speechless at the corporate greed. And I don't expect this comment to remain long on this site.

All products come with help... that is still the F1 key

The PDF user guide is also available on the install disc for every product

You clearly did not find this http://www.adobe.com/support/indesign/  which has a link on the left for "getting started and tutorials" and "Indesign CS5 Help"

I was told specifically by the salesman that there was no help available for

this product unless I purchased the manual. Was I lied to?

Without a transcript we really have no way of telling. But this is not

the place to discuss that anyway

If you want to complain somewhere where there is a small chance that

somebody from Adobe, instead of other users of Adobe products, reads it

post in the Adobe.com feedback forum:

    http://forums.adobe.com/community/general/adobedotcom_feedback

If you want to complain in such a way that Adobe definitely reads it,

email to adbecare@adobe.com with all details of the conversation.

If you want to discuss the new help system rolled out with CS5, post in

    the Community Help Application forum:
