Lost old Adobe Community account when SSO e-mail changed

My work e-mail address changed, and I've lost access to my old Adobe Community account.

Adobe Support said that'd be something to bring up with my company's IT team, but they're a bit clueless when it comes to managing Adobe integrations.

Is there any way to merge the Adobe Community accounts, or just to delete this Adobe Community account and modify the associated e-mail on the old one?

I still receive incoming e-mails at the old address, so I could verify ownership of the old account if needed; I only can't log into it right now because it's no longer my principal user ID for SSO, which my company has set up for Adobe.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

A question about modifying the e-mail on my Adobe Community Account doesn't belong in the forum about Using Adobe Community?

(In any case, if the post gets an answer in the new location, I'll be just as happy...)

then no, there's no way you can delete or merge forum accounts, and if adobe support said they couldn't help you, then it's back to your admins.

though, why can't you sign into your previous community profile using a home computer or mobile device?

Excellent question, actually—when I type my previous e-mail into the Adobe Sign-In field, even in a Private/Incognito window, it redirects me to my workplace SSO log-in, which is only willing to emit my current workplace e-mail. (The actual change to the e-mail is a very minor one, only because of a legal name change event.)

I guess I'm just locked out of the Adobe Community account associated with my previous workplace e-mail, despite the fact that I can still receive e-mails at that address? 🙈

Like I said, even a private window (which is a more comprehensive and reliable alternative to clearing cookies) didn't work. But for the sake of it, I cleared the cookies, too, and got the exact same result. When I click "Continue", Adobe redirects me to my company-wide SSO portal notwithstanding the actual specific e-mail I'd entered. Adobe doesn't seem to let me attempt log-in by password or e-mailed one-time link.

You can't combine personal & professional community profiles. They have separate IDs for a reason.

To access one ID, you must first log-out of the other.

Log-in below with your Adobe ID (email) and password.

Scroll down to Primary Email and click on the "Change" button.

https://account.adobe.com/profile

Hope that helps.

That doesn't answer my question. I'm not trying to combine personal and professional profiles; I never even mentioned a personal profile. My (professional) Adobe Community profile got duplicated (James30818644amb9 & Formerly30818644amb9) when my workplace (SSO) e-mail changed.

I can't log in with my old work e-mail because Adobe Sign-In redirects to SSO when I try to enter my old work e-mail.

Sorry, but this user-to-user community cannot resolve account issues. That's beyond the scope of what fellow users can help you with.  You really need to take this up with your IT dept.

Additionally, because both e-mails use/used my workplace SSO to log in, there's no option to change the e-mail even if I could get into the account; it says "If you are part of an enterprise organization, your enterprise directory identity may be used in collaborations with other members of your organization."
