Question

Reporting broken hyperlink to Adobe way to difficult

I followed http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402704.html and arrived at Adobe's 404 page.  On the default 404 handler page the link http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/contact.html is provided with the text:

Broken link?

Send us an e-mail.

Which to me should lead directly to a form to fill out and provide details of the broken link, but instaead one arrives at the default Contact Us page, http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/contact.html , where one must strategically select the correct option which is very obscure and for most users not easily found.  At this point most will simply move on with their day and not report the broken link due to the amount of effort expected on their part to do so.  I suggest the workflow for this be corrected or considerably easier for the end user.

Lastly, I desire to know where http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402704 has gone to if someone could kindly tell me.

It would be good to know where you see a link to that page.

If it's a saved bookmark or something, what is the page about?

Perhaps the link came from here:

Thanks, Curt.

I know when we migrated the articles to the most recent knowledgebase system, we put in redirects for every article that was migrated. Assuming the 404 is because of the lack of a redirect, I assume that someone chose to delete this article instead of migrate it over for some reason.

Yes, it was referenced in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/838534 as well as several other locations via Google search.  Strangely, a related solution at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/400/kb400963.html is redirected to http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/photoshop-or-photoshop-elements-crashes.html

I seek to locate the resource as well as ensure that the reporting of broken links is easy and logical.

Have run into this same situation several times when trying to access old links.  Does not seem to be any easy way to find the old link with the page that comes up.

My issues were with old Knowledge Base info sheets.

Perhaps you should tell us what exactly are you looking for or where did

you get that link from. Without knowing what you are looking for it is

impossible to tell you where did that particular link go.

Good luck.
