The uselessness of Adobe help

I'm wondering, out of curiosity, if anyone out there has experienced anything more utterly useless than Adobe alleged help, especially the alleged search function?

Just curious as to how a company can be so big and so disrespectful of its customers.

Very few use Adobe Search for anything deep.

If you're referencing searching the Adobe forums, you're a million times better off using Google and adding "site:forums.adobe.com" to your search.

If you're referencing the Adobe Help files for any of its products, it's futile to search them.  They even stopped supplying an index with their user guides.

A manual or user guide is only as good as its index.  Therefore, the Adobe Help files (User Guides) are utterly useless.  It's that simple.

When you go to the main community page (http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa) and click on the Photoshop icon/link, it should link to the page you gave me (http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop?view=discussions) But instead it links here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop

That page is so confusing. There are about 13 boxes (not including mention the sidebar) all of which are just totally unhelpful and linking to other forums. It's all just so cluttered and messy. Really badly designed IMHO, and totally different to the elegant design of the main Community page.

It's like Adobe are actively trying to hinder people from posting on their forum.

When these Jive forums opened some four years ago, the forums had tabs for all users [Overview, All Content, Discussions].  Users could set their default view; most users probably selected the Discussions view, as the others are kind of confusing.

Then some day, apparently in another misguided attempt to improve the forums, these tabs were taken away from most users, and the default now is the Overview view.

If you now want a different view, you must type the selection manually, like

• Overview: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop?view=overview
• All Content: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop?view=all
• Discussions: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop?view=discussions

Not to mention those useless Popular Discussions that include links to three closed/archived threads, something that "should be settled in a week or two" (message #22, of March 27, in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1102854?tstart=180) (cannot give link to that specific message).
