Question

GPU best for Premiere Pro and the Neat Video 6 plugin?

Workflow details: I work with multi-camera 4k LOG .MOV footage (Lumix S5II cameras). If I need to de-noise high ISO footage, I render my FHD composition in Pro-Res format first, then clean up the noise from that lower resolution source, outputting MP4 for my clients.

I've browsed Google and Youtube but found so many conflicting reviews, speaking in terminology that means nothing to me. I'm not a hardware expert.

I use Neat Video 6 Plug In with Premiere Pro and my GPU is a NVidia 4080 Super.

To be honest you could spend hours on this decision - but at the end of the day the choice depends on your budget.

The NVidia 5000 Blackwell series is the latest and greatest but the increase in performance of a 5080 over a 4080 Super is not that great looking at on line reviews.

The NVidia 5000 series has come in for some criticism in the early days due to Driver issues but I believe by now things should have stabilised.

If I was buying now I would probably go for 5080 though as that has faster memory speed access and faster Video RAM. Its just about keeping up pace with developments really.

On the other hand I'm quite happy with the 4080 Super and also use it with the Topaz Software suite.

I've found Neat Video de-noiser better to remove video noise though.

Final note is that if you have deep pockets you could always go for the top end 5090 !.
