Every Update since AE2017 Lagging

Every AE update I've done after CC2017 has resulted in a laggy user experience. Anyone else getting this? Anyone with a solution? I thought skipping one version wouldn't be much of a problem but there are some features I'd like to use in CC2019. Also figured I can't stay in 2017 forever if I don't look for help. Here's a link to a video that'll give you a better idea on what's going on. It compares my experience between the two versions. Please help if you can.

PC Specs:

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X 16-Core @ 3.70GHz

32GB RAM

Nvidia Titan Xp 12GB

Win 10 Pro v1809

All drivers up to date.

    Hope this will help anyone that comes across the same issue. I eventually found the source of this problem myself.

    It seems having a lot of fonts installed causes AE CC2018/19 to get choppy. Closing the "Character" panel (where you change text font, formatting, etc) solves the issue entirely! If you need to work with the panel open you'll unfortunately have to uninstall your fonts and leave only the essentials.

      Hi Shivangi, thank you for getting back to me. Took me a while, but I've followed all the tips listed in that article (to the best of my ability), and am still experiencing the same problem. I can't help but feel like this is a small configuration/compatibility problem but have no idea what further information I could give you to help diagnose my problem. Kindly help, please.
