Many thanks. I had already looked at Preferences but could find nothing
which would change the situation. I have since spoken to Adobe who tested
the system and declared that the fault lay with the GPU which could not
deal with upgrade to 27.0.0.
I have managed to get the basics of the Remove Tool but it still will not
act on the "Distractions" ie I can apply the tool to remove individual
persons but when using the tool under distractions, it does select all
individuals but cannot cope with the removal. All was working well before
upgrading from 26.10.0 and I don't know what has changed to this tool since
then. Also, this is a 2-month old Dell laptop which should have the latest
GPU fitted.
