I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I can't get premiere pro to stop logging on to the timeline while I'm editing. I have a Dell XPS 17 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz with 64megs of ram and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU. There is no way it should be lagging at all and it sucks with just 1080p footage. I NEED HELP NOW!  Im getting ready to sell it and buy a MAC because this SHOULD NOT be happening!  Video is attached of whats going on!

Hey everyone so I'm exporting a single 5min scene in 4K BRAW to pro res 4444xq. I am on Nvdia accelerated...im writing to a fast 7tb SSD but my Read drive in a 40+ TB Raid 0 for max speed. My stats are showing my GPU and CPU are barely being used. The render takes 30min...for the hardware I have this seems slow but I could be wrong can anyone make any suggestions. I have a 2019 iMac, OS Monterey, and considering upgrading to 16 GB ram to do high-end graphics with CC 2023 apps. However, not sure if its graphics card can handle the new apps, or if it will be painfully slow? The card is a Radeon Pro 570X 4 GB. Thanks for your help!

Hello, I will soon start editing a feature film, which I haven’t done for years, and need to invest in a new system and storage. I am planning to edit R3D RAW files natively, ideally at 1/1 (but 1/2 absolutely fine,  down to 1/4 possibly being acceptable). 4K footage, perhaps some 5K (shooting with RED DRAGON DSMC2 and possibly GEMINI DMSC2, with some high speed footage (60fps). (I’m open to editing with proxies if there are good reasons to do it, but I prefer working with the actual footage and am used to this method). I am wondering what sort of drives would be best for this, bearing in mind it will be a large project (25TB of footage at a very rough estimate) with a small budget, and if I should be thinking about RAID. Any thoughts greatly appreciated Many thanks

I'm thinking about upgrading, currently working on Surface Pro 7+ (Intel i7 11th Gen and 16GB of RAM) but the challenge is that they're really expensive. i love the Surface Pro and would want to stick to it.   My question is, what would make a difference in AE: - upgrading from i7 11th gen (4 cores) to i7 12gen (up to 10 cores) (this means upgrading from Surface Pro 7+ to latest Surface Pro 9) (with 16GB of RAM) or - upgrading from 16GB of RAM to 32GB of RAM (the same Surface Pro 7+ with i7 11th gen). (latest Surface Pro 9 with 32GB of RAM is too expensive)   Thanks, Marek

I'm looking to buy a Mac laptop for my son just starting his Graphic Design studies in college. I don't want to break the bank with a top of the line model--but I do want something that can handle most Creative Cloud apps without struggling. I have a MacBook Pro (2019) with 32GB of memory and the Intel Core i9 processor. It handles everything I throw at it.Which of the lower end Mac laptops work best for Creative Cloud?  With the new M2 chip I've heard MacBook Airs work just fine.Please let me know if you have any recommendations.  Thanks in advance!

I have started a new role as a design team manager, and the team are on Dell Latitudes 5430 laptops. 16GB Ram, Intel Iris internal graphics etc.  The laptops get daily BSODs, cannot preview AE at more than 1/8 and each machine has consistent crashes daily. Really not built for intensive design work. I've been tasked with looking into the perfect machine that can handle our workload to replace them. // Workload Breakdown //- Heavy use of Ilustrator- AE open and animating the Ilustrator file GFX- Pulling comps into Premiere Pro for editing- Audition open and linked to Premiere Pro for VO and audio tweaks- AME for all exports Basically: I need a machine that can have illustrator, after effects, premiere pro and audition open at the same time without blowing up. ...to an Alder Lake CPU platform. You can read the last post of my previous major upgrade here.  As I mentioned in my last post in that featured discussion, I selected an Intel i7-12700K. I also pondered whether to stick with DDR4 or go with DDR5 for this build. But after I discovered that current DDR5 prices are still more than double those of DDR4 memory, I decided to stick with DDR4. That is, I would have had to spend nearly $1,500 USD total for this DDR5 upgrade, and even if I had to settle for only 32 GB total of DDR5 RAM, the total cost would have still well exceeded $1,000 USD. Hello, I'm writing to you because I need to buy a new graphic card. And after a lot of questions on many forums, I've decided to buy one of these 3 cards (I can not pay more than 350€) - Nvidia 3060 ti- Gigabyte 6700XT- Intel Arc A770So I would have few questions :- Could you confirm me, the material acceleration will works well in Premiere with the A770 card ?- Could you tell me if A770 is a good choice ? I've read that with it, I think to have understood that I will be able to preview my H264 files in Premiere Pro without using proxies, is it true ?- To encode my video in H264 it will take more than NVidia, but is there a big difference with the 3060 ti or 6700 xt ? (When Premiere will deal with the AV1, I suppose the encoding will be very fast)RegardsCédric 

For a while now i have been using premerie quite happily but one issue has plauged me. for some reason my GTX 1070's NVENC decoder will never contribute to the rendering process at all. i have searched all over multiple times to try and fand an answer as to why this happens and the answer continues to illude me. the mosat frustrtating part is the decoder works everywhere else i need it to. in the editing timeline no problem, you tube video's no sweat, watching video recordings it's covered.  for a bit more context i record with obs using h.265 80+Mbps 4:2:0 8 bit. it was my assumption that whatever i can record with NVENC it should be able to decode just fine and outside of rendering that is trueso my questions are why isn't my GPU decoding during rendering and shifting all the work over to my CPU? and is there any place that clearly states the full capability of the Nvidia NVENC decoder capabilities?.

After changing the graphics card to INTEL ARC770 OC 16GB, ADOBE PREMIER does not start. The welcome window pops up and goes off. PHOTOSHOP works normally. On the old graphics card, it worked normally. How do I fix this?

Updated premiere to version 23.2.0 (build 69) and now when I try to render my computer just shuts off. I know most people are quick to blame the hardware but my system is build for editing and the thermal read outs are well within operating range, drivers are up to date, and i have 2 identical machines in my studio.The computer running the older version works just fine as im currently rendering a large project on it. My question is has anyone else run into this problem with the new version of premiere? I'm using the same footage from the same source on both computers so it's not a corrupt file and the fact that the computer shuts off immediately after I click render makes me think this is software based. For context, I'm upgrading my hardware for long duration 1440p, H.264, 2-D animation workflow that heavily utilizes dynamic link timeline on Premiere and having PS + AE open simultaneously. My new hardware specs are i9-13900k and 128gb ddr5-5600MHz. I'm having a hard time choosing my GPU. I'm debating between the Nvidia 40 Series cards around 4070, 4070ti, 4080, and 4090. I see 4090 being the only 40series card that offer 24GB of VRAM, but the high pricing is turning me away. How important is vram? Will 12gb of vram be suffice? 

Does Adobe premier pro works smoothly in 13.3 inch APPLE 2020 Macbook Pro M1 -8 GB/256 GB SSD without any crash or hang in the long run. Is the above specs ok or should I need to go for 14 inch Apple macbook with 16gb?

I am going to change my computer system and reactivate the adobe apps in new computer. Please tell me what steps I have to take to enable this. I use Windows 11 and this is going to continue. I am using altogether 10 adobe apps. Only thing I know is SIGN OUT from old system and SIGN IN in new one.
