nVidia has just announced the new Titan V. "v" is the Volta chip which is the next step beyond the current Pascal. It has 5120 CUDA cores! The Titan V cards also include 12GB of 1.7 Gb/s HMB2 memory that operates on a 3,072-bit memory bus and provides 653 GB/s of memory bandwidth. These amazing specs will cost you a mere $3000 if you can find one. It is targeted at Scientists and Researchers and of course at that price not consumers.
Just build a new system with a Coffee Lake i8600k CPU and Corsair LPX 16GB 3200MHz RAM. Integrated graphics of the 8600k and my old Sapphire R7 250 1GB D5 Ultimate are not powerful enough to playback my Premiere Pro 4k timeline when an adjustment layer with color correction is added. I am considering buying a for example GTX 1050 4GB GDDR5 card but can not find any reviews focused on timeline playback. I do not care much when exporting the final movie is done in 30 instead of 20 minutes, but playback my timeline with 4k movies and adjustment layers should not be a problem. Are here any experiences with this sort or cards in combination with Premiere Pro with focus on playback the the timeline including any kind of adjustments?
I have specific questions regarding the right configuration I need to be able to create videos in 4K with Adobe Première.The native format from the camera is XAVC S. The camera is a Sony FDR-AX100. I need to be able to mount 3 different 4K video tracks on a smooth way. I don’t want to use proxy media because this takes to many time to convert the files. I did this till now but this is very time consuming. I want to be able to move my cursor over the timeline and to see a fluid movement of the video. I have my camera 3 years now and I’m still to able to create a finished 4 K product. This is really frustrating.I bought just a new computer with the following components:32 GByte internal memory. Hello Adobe, We have a problem with colors after updating from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The colors are different for professional man (not for Windows users) than in Windows 7. Do you have any solution to fix it?
Hi guys, I am looking for a reliable external 3.5' drive with good speeds for backup media and occasional editing from.Reading through Amazon I get hundred of different opinions. Is there a hidden champion? Thank you, Alex
I've come into possession of a Mac Pro 5,1 (6- Core Intel Xeon, 2.66Ghz, 32Gb RAM) with three 2TB HDD's that are RAID configured and a 500Gb SSD root drive. What would be the best way to set up scratch disks, media cache, project files, etc? At the moment I've sent everything to the 6TB RAID and with only the OSX on the SSD.
So I don't really know anything about computers. And not much about Adobe. But I could not work it on my laptop. So I'm going to buy a PC what the above system features. Will that be sufficient to run Adobe After Effects and other video editing software smoothly?Pardon my ignorance
I recently bought a Samsung T5 because I've seen that people have been able to speed up their render and export process, but I haven't noticed any difference when working on my projects. I have the footage and premiere pro projects in my drive, but it still doesn't show much of a difference when exporting. Is there a correct way to go about using an SSD to speed up workflow? I also use a MacBook Pro Late 2016 Touch Bar by the way if that helps. Thank you![Moderator note: moved to best forum.]
I have just purchased a few new external SSD drives including a new 20TB G-Raid system and I am looking for any assistance/ guidance in optimizing my drives to increase the speed of my workflow. I run a video production team and do a lot of editing (mostly testimonials and quick edits to 45 min presentations) and was experiencing bottlenecks that slowed my production which is why I made these big investments in expanding my storage.--- Here is a list of the equipment I have including speed tests which I performed using Blackmagic Speed Test software --- MacBook Pro Late 2016 500GB SSD Memory - 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3Processor - 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7Graphics - Radeon Pro 455 2048 MB Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MBWrite - 1943 MB/sRead - 2158 MB/sG-RAID 7200rpm Thunderbolt - 20TB (RAID 0)Write - 485 MB/sRead - 492 MB/sSamsung EVO 850 SS

I purchased an iMac two months ago for video editing purpose. I use Adobe Pr. Here is my iMac:4.2 GHz Intel Core i7 Quad-Core32GB of DDR4 RAM | 1TB SSD27" 5120 x 2880 IPS Retina 5K DisplayAMD Radeon Pro 580 Graphics Card (8GB)But one month ago, the system started to show "Force Quit Applications: You system has run out of application memory. To avoid problems with your computer, quit any applications you are not using". Even though I only used Adobe Pr, it constantly showed up and I had to restart Adobe or the iMac. I contacted Apple, reorganized all of the footage, and reinstalled the Adobe, but the same problem is still there and comes more often. I searched online for solutions. I found one answer: " I recently saw this issue with almost all of the system memory free. The problem was a faulty program that was allocating but never releasing GPU memory. Since all screen display happens through the GPU, using up all its memory is enough to cause a legitimate out-of-memory error, even w

Hello everyone. I couldn't find really a better spot to put this in, and since I use alot of the products Adobe has to offer, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, and Illustrator.... I wasn't sure where to stick this question. I'm in the process of gearing up to build another machine for the studio. I know there's been alot of discussion as to what matters most, (i.e: Threads, versus Cores, Processing Power) and such .... what are some of the most optimal and best performing options are there as far as CPU's are concerned. I'm preferable to Intel, and I'll be carrying over a Nvidia 1080 8GB GPU as well as a M.2 PCI SSD card since they are relatively recent purchases and still noteworthy performance. I've been trying to justify the new i9 cpu series, but at the double the cost of the line of CPU's beneath it is hard. With any recommendations of CPU's... if you have any suggestions of motherboards I would love to hear them. Thank you so much in advance cuz I'
Hello everyone.Apple just announced the latest desktop station: iMac and iMac Pro (from December).May I ask you what are your opinions regarding them?I need to replace my old iMac (2012) with a new one and I am now considering two options: top iMac or the "basic" iMac Pro (lucky the budget this time won't be an issue).I am a creative cloud user and I work mostly for photo editing (Ps and Lr mostly), very few occasion some small video editing.Do you think that the iMac Pro might be too oversized workstation for my needs?
Hi, I was thinking about buying a new computer, Lenovo Legion Y520T, and want to know if it is compatible and runs smoothly on adobe creative cloud? The computer has the specs of: 8 gb of ram (ddr4 sdram), ssd 256 gb, and a 1tb hdd secondary harddrive, i5-7400 processor (quad-core, 3 ghz) and a Nvidia Geforce 1050 Ti graphical card (4gb) and windows 10 home operating system 64-bit. Will this work with adobe creative cloud? I will be using primarily Photoshop, illustrator, Indesign, Lightroom and a little bit of Premier. for video editing. What do you think, is this a good budget computer with good/decent prestanda and compability with these programs and will work on adobe creative cloud? I couldn't read out from the system requirement of these programs if the graphical card that I mentioned above has been tested and is compatible with the creative cloud

Hello,I've been using a 2013 Macbook Pro to work with Premiere CC "2013." It has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB which has been working with CUDA. I'm looking at a 2015 Macbook Pro which has "Intel Iris Pro Graphics with 128 MB." I can't find this listed on Adobe. This seems like a less powerful GPU, at least less RAM. Will it work with current Adobe CC software? Will it be limited? Thanks,Robert
Hello. I do not have very much money to spend, but I'm looking at building a computer for rendering. The two GPU's currently on my radar are:1. GIGABYTE AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB2. Gigabyte GTX 1050 OC 2GB3. Dual SLI GTX 660 Graphics CardsI have heard the 7970 is faster (by about 10%), and has more RAM, but is a legacy card. I also know that dual cards can pack a serious punch. I'm looking for the best possible rendering with these three options, preferably using the latest Premiere Pro (17 or 18 really). Also, could I use the first 2 options together in a dual GPU setting successfully?Thank you for the help using such legacy technology.
Hi, I would like some feedback and opinions on a quote that i have got for a pc build for hd video editing with a budget of around£1000.i dont know much about the technical side to the parts etc so would like to know if this quote is about right or whether there could be some changes made. thanksquote does not include screens/keyboard and his rates.Case Antec GX-200 gaming case with Window ATX USB 3.0 Blue LED Fans Black &nbs
Hi there sorry for the dumb post but I'm looking to get Premiere and am very unsure on what pc to get that can handle the program. I won't be using it commercially at least to start with so it will be more of a hobby for short films. I don't think I'm tech savvy enough to build my own so I was looking to buy my own and potentially upgrade as I go. im looking to spend around £900 and no more than £1000. Would something like this get me by? Intel Core I7 7700 HD Gaming PC 1tb HDD 16gb DDR4 2133Mhz Punisher ComputerI really appreciate anyone whose read this and is willing to help.[moved to hardware forum by mod]
I had a big interest in the Lenovo 17 inch Thinkpad p71 given the Thinkpads' reputation for durability until I realized that with even their highest graphics card option (Quadro P5000 mobile), the memory bandwith would be only 190Gb/s compared to 320Gb/s bandwith on the Alienware 17R4's GTX 1080 (notebook version).I've never heard so much emphasis be put on the memory bandwith of a GPU until I read section 5 of the /r/buildapcvideoediting wiki. Perhaps because I'm an ex-gamer and VRAM capacity is a big deal in gaming rigs, but not as much in video editing machines? From the wiki it seems like memory bandwith is like the most important thing to have in terms of editing speed, so I'd just like to confirm. How important is memory bandwith to live timeline rendering speeds and speeds in general in Adobe Premiere? How important a role does total VRAM capacity play in video editing speeds in general?
I know with the Ryzen chips, there's the "But software will be updated to better use cores so Ryzen chips may end up with the advantage in the future with software optimization" talk. I'm due for a an upgrade very soon and torn between a Ryzen 7 1800x or an i7 7800x. I probably won't upgrade for another 3 years at least so I am wondering about that possible core optimization and if by going Ryzen I will be winning out if Adobe ever decides to get Premiere to make more use of the cores.
