I think you're partially right Jim..Because nowadays "Creative Cloud Desktop apps" It's not marketed, advertised, targeted.  like "Creative Suite Master Collection" was.Now It's like You can do anything you want in a few clicks anywhere, now It's promoted as everyone and anyone apps bundle to have as standard, from pros to first timers, to use professionally or for fun.So, the more Its presented as "also" as  for everyone, all levels, the more It has to be mindless to deal with technical issues, if the person don't know how to use all resources, ok. Every one of these workarounds defeat the purpose of subscription based software. When Adobe pushes out updates, it’s supposed to benefit users with new features and improved performance; not disable our workflow and interrupt productivity.I believe Adobe owes us a permanent solution. I for one will be calling Adobe support today to resolve my issues with Premiere 2018. I think its bad business you all are doing to people who buy your software and can no longer use it unless we give you half of our jobs each time we need to do our projects . I have to learn how to use final cut or Vegas or avid because there is no monthly cost. I have perfected your software after everyone in my field was saying don't use it because its no good. and they are right. for 3 years I would brag about it . and I have to purchase another software and do a movie with someone else's software. this is a big unconvinced for me. but you don't care about the little man only the big million dollar companies. well I am not MGM nor CBS even though I have worked with networks like them. thank you for being so greedy. signed so disappointed.@

I'm with everyone else... this was a — move by Adobe. I wasn't in the middle of a project like many others have been, but I do export and burn BDs with Dolby 5.1 audio for review. Removing the Dolby encoder without warning while still charging the same price as before was bad business. Between stuff like this and other — they've been running lately (like breaking things they know are broken but still haven't fixed) it's tick tock for Premiere in the professional workspace. For Adobe to say "just upgrade your Windows OS" - guess what?!? I'm on a Mac... this break can't be fixed the way you're telling me to fix it. ADDITIONALLY, I shouldn't have to.Here's the thing Adobe... Apple tried to tell people to throw their workflow out the window and change to way APPLE thought they should edit when they released FCPX. Premiere Pro may be...overkill...for this sort of thing.  Have you looked into Premiere Elements?

What is the oint of Adobe offering the "premiere" video editing package without tools like dolby encode that you need to create a DVD with compressed audio... really what is the point adobe. Where do you get off? THIS IS A COMPLAINT> ADOBE YOU REALISE NOW WHY PEOPLE STOP PAYING YOU AND GOING BACK TO USING OLDER VERSIONS.... 3 months ago I wanted to check out a program to color grade my Videos. I found Premier Pro the cheapest offering a month membership and the first thing that happened after starting the program after setup, was that the computer went down, -- happened ever since after 5 to 10 minuts. Today I wanted to quit my "plan" as I found out I did not just sign up to one application but a bundle I never wanted or used. So deleting my "Plan" .  I was told I was presented to a "possible fee" of some 100 $ --- Adobe seem to want a full year membership. Now on my way out to the Danish web to warn others, I was so stupid to click a button that promised me 2 months free use of the program case I did not want to leave my "Plan" anyway. As I were just looking for a way to escape this fraud as unharmed as possible I wonder how legal all this is under Danish Law. I will naturally ask this on the Danish web, but already fear being trapped in the Mouse trap.Well my computer are to weak, but I know progra

Adobe have decided to do the dirty on their customers and ruin it for everyone, just in time for xmas. By doing this they are forcing people who were quite happy on windows 7 to have to take their machine to a shop and have a new operating system installed like the awful 8.1 or the "updates whenever it wants" Windows 10... at your own cost and also then you will probably find that your hardware isnt compatable with that so will have wasted your money and have to buy a new machine. Yes Adobe charge you more money for Premiere and rip bits out of it. Quite funny - well it would be if it weren't true. Moderator Note: This post was edited. Please do not discuss legal issues. I don't understand why Adobe is like this now. In the past I was always excited for software upgrades but now we live in constant fear of updates and are forced to be a year behind on a product we are paying for. I don't get it. I think it's a problem that includes almost every industry these days. Companies seem perfectly fine with almost-good-enough products rather than taking pride in exceptional and complete products. I think the workforce is now more interested in working at a cool office with ping pong tables and napping rooms than it is actually producing something that works. I know that makes me sound like a cranky old man but I have seen it first hand. It is 100% true that Adobe uses us, their professional paying customers, as beta testers and it's just not right.The stock answer of "only update between jobs" doesn't fly when you literally never have a "between jobs" moment.

I can't wait to buy my new Power iMac - I'm getting the Final Cut suite. I CAN'T STAND Adobe's constantly fiddling and futzing with this software so it becomes unusable! Maybe I'm jumping into the fire from the frying pan, but I can't use Premiere anymore. I no sooner get used to it when some clown at corporate decides to change the interface. I just don't get the mind of developers.BTW that video tip doesn't work. Again, the interface has changed from November 3 to December 6. WOW!

It would've been nice to have a warning that I would be losing functionality when running an update. I'm running Windows 7, still supported by Microsoft. The only answer seems to be update to Windows 8+ or buy a 3rd party plug-in for $350. Oh well, Adobe gets to save their licensing fees since I can't even downgrade to v.2017. Something that was completely functional is now dead after spending thousands of dollars on their software.

Lately in the recent moths even since last year Ive been aiming wanting to upgrade my video equipmemt and overall improve my image quality and speed of my editing so I can get video footage out and up.Camera wise im looking at getting the AX53 Camcorder; from my own reasearch it seems like one of the best camcorders right now.So that I can do some multicam composing on the spot rather than in post I'm very interested in MySlingStidio to so I can cut down a lot of my post editing. Both things are around $1K. If you can only get one right now which do you say is more important; the cam to upgrade equipment and picture quality or the multicam Sling Studio to improve compositing and cut down post edit ?

It is shocking how inefficient Premiere has become.  Most of us, here on the forums, are running high end computers, and yet Premiere gets slower and slower with every release.  I'm still suffering with import times in the MINUTES for a dozen clips or WAV files.Adobe, please take the pedal off of the gazillion features pipeline, and, instead, bug fix and optimize.  Your code base must be a mess.  It's getting worse and worse.  There is something very wrong with a program that takes MINUTES to import a bunch of files into a project.  It's not useable.My standard procedure with my current workflow is to start an import and come here, to the forums, to vent.Oh, and I demanded my subscription to be free for 2 months.  And I'll demand it again in two months if the import bug still exists.  Everyone using this beta software should DEMAND the same.  EVERYONE!  Seriously, if you're here, suffering one of these project crippling bugs, you should

Opening multiple projects pushed me into this upgrade early. Something that i never do with Adobe. But this time i though to myself, this is the feature i have been waiting for since final cut 7. What the heck, maybe it will be ok? Now inserting clips to a freaking timeline trigers - premiere not responding - message.I gues on the one hand it is a well known fact that under no circumstances You should ever update adobe product right away. So i can blame only myself for doing that? On the other hand we are all paying monthly for this software and we should expect for the freakin thing to work properly regardles the updares. So, I've been waiting this year to get a video camera, black Friday approaches and my time to commit is here! I've been leaning to a Sony AX53 all year, but have been to Best Buy a few times to look it over and only have one hesitation, can it be used successfully on a tripod! At the store they have it on a magnetic base, and so I was comparing it to the AX100 next to it (50% more expensive, older, shorter zoom, not as good handheld, but much bigger sensor) and I was then reminded of the 'stutter' people see from the AX53 when it's on a stable base. Just tapping the counter it was on was producing this annoying judder/stutter/etc... I've read that Sony did a firmware update to the AX53 which helped for when the camera was on a tripod. I need to go back to Best Buy today perhaps and check to see what firmware that camera had.So, any recommendations or comments on the abovethanks very much,mp

New guy here, glad to meet you all. I'm learning Premiere and After Effects and will be asking software-specific questions as they come up. But what I want to ask first is how to become a better amateur cameraman so I shoot my films the right way?I think the editing software won't help if the movie had been shot incorrectly, like most people who have expensive camera, but their camera work is amateurish. They just pan around like my amateur dad when he got his first VHS camera 30 years ago.I took a film class almost 20 years ago, don't remember much except that you are not supposed to pan!Help me find some resources I could study!

People that reviewed CC 2018 favorably are nuts, or have a very bad intention, or did not use de program like a pro.Premiere CC 2018 is a Crapware that is compromising all of it's monthly paying clients. Do not open video .MTS from Sony cams, due to the use of Dolby for sound recording, unless you upgrade do Win 10 (upgrade is free till now): With WIn 7 you get only video and not the audio foram a .MTS. Do not render Lumetri functions on NVIDIA GPU Cuda (650 TI turbo, last driver installed). Place black windows at the interface, probably, because, this Nvidia issue. Slowed rendering times. An the worse: when you revert do CC 2017, you are unable to use Sony cameras digital videos without going do Win 10.You are very right. There are no relevant diferences on 2018 that justify stop using 2017. One of the most noticeable is 10 or 12 colors for labels... If you did not updated. PLEASE, stay as you are and DO NOT UPDATE.

why should we be adobe testers?

Maybe I am not in the right forum to discus this but I am going to leave this post here.I know the apps that generate more sales are probably Photoshop and Lightroom but...I think there should be a Video plan that would include After effects, Premiere Pro and Media Encoder and I can't think of any reason why it is still not possible to have a bundle/plan that fits video artists OR any other type of artiste (animation, audio(don't forget those guys), graphic designers, web designers...).Maybe I am missing something.What do you think?

Tell me, please, why should we, as the users of Adobe products, need any dancing with drums during installation and use? This should be the concern of developers. Any user wants to just install, start and use, everything !.We, users, are for this and pay.
