Acrobat Reader

Hello! I am creating a PDF and want to be able to insert a signature field that you must use a certificate to sign. The "digital signature field" allows candidates to draw a signature in, which we can't allow. I've seen a ton of government forms that do this (attached an example of a publically available government form that does this), but I haven't been able to recreate it myself. I also know that under the Certificates tool you can insert a certificate signature somewhere on the PDF, but I would like it to be mandated as well as the default setting when someone clicks on the signature box.

New version of Acrobat not saving my annotations.  Never had any problems with previous versions.  What's going on?

Hi, I have Adobe Reader 2020.013.20074. When I print duplex on my Brother DCP-L8410CDW the page will only flip on the short edge. I have the correct driver for the printer and printing duplex from Word etc works fine. When I print the same PDF document to my Brother MFC-L5750DW it works fine. Also, some documents do not correctly fit on the page with the DCP colour printer. There appears to be a communication problem between Acrobat Reader and the colour printer. Any help would be much appreciated.

How do I switch off the irritating login in page for Acrobat Reader? Comes up everytime when I only want to read a PDF. I have an Adobe ID but it's a pain to enter all the details.

Hello,Since the last update, I can no longer login to my OneDrive account. When I click to add the account, I can type in my email address. Once I hit "Continue" the dialogue box opens for a few seconds then closes without allowing me the opportunity to finish logging in. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I save everything to my OneDrive and really need this to be functional.

When I turn on my computor, it tells me I have an old version of adobe flash player. how do I get the new version.?  How do I get an answer to this question.?

I have downloaded Tax forms from the California Franchise Tax Board, Saved them to my computer, Filled them out, and printed them.just like I have always done in the past but this time something has changed.  The information in the fill-able forms did not print, but the rest of the document was just fine ???I have tried looking thru the forums, it appears that a lot of other people have had this same problem but no has posted the fix.I have changed the print settings to Documents and markups, and all of the other options none of them worked.I have gone thru all of the settings in Reader, none of them have anything to do with printing ?

How can I display a scrollbar in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC? My version is 2019.021.20061. I need this to scrool through a document with many pages. There is an answer for Acrobat Reader 11 to set Touch Mode=Never, but that doesn't show the scrollbar in my version. Thanks.

OS: macOSPDF Version: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (Latest version)Printer: HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g (Latest Driver) All content is shown on the screen normally, but when I try to print out the file, some of the Chinese characters cannot be shown on the paper. I did try to print the same file on my iPhone, it displayed all words successfully. Do anyone has seen this problem before?

Hello, and thanks in advance.I used to use acrobat reader DC to sign my documents using a certificate. After my certificate expired, I installed a new one. It is contained in the windows certificates store. Now, when I use the option in Acrobat R. DC certificates/signing,  it asks me to create a new digital Id. It won't recognaize the Id linked to my new certificate as valid to sign, as it used ti do with the old certificate. I tried to manage the digital Id, and set my certificate as the digital id by default to sign, but Adobe Acorbat DC does not offer the opption to sign with it in the "use options" of the digital id option.What is the problem?

Hello all, I have noticed under apps and features that there is Adobe Acrobat Reader DCWhen I run the application a window pops up and starts to install something  Can someone please advise how this works? I thought the first image would be the Adobe Reader DC application, or is it the application that installs the Adobe Reader DC Software? If it's the latter, does that mean Adobe is installing unnecessary files?  

Hi Guys, im having this issue of opening Embedded PDF in Excel 2021. The error is Cannot start the source application for this object. This issue happens intermittent, i have to reopen Acrobat Reader few times then only i can open the embedded PDF inside excel. Troubleshooting i've done.Repair and reinstall Office application.Reinstall Acrobat Reader. May i know what else i can do to prevent this issue happens again?Appreciate the help.

Hi everyone,I'm having a boring behaviour from Adobe Reader: every now and then it creates automatically a desktop icon. Every time I remove it then it appears again.Is there any way to prevent this situation?Thanks.

Within a recent update for Adobe Acrobat, I have been recently been having issues just with Microsoft PowerPoint presentations when using the Adobe Acrobat plugin and converting the presentations to a PDF.  All of my tables are already tagged as Figures instead of Tables and when I use the Autotag feature, quite frankly, correctly changes Tables that are tagged Figures to Tables.  However, 25-40% of my other tags are then changed to other tags and mostly creates more work remediating the new errors than the Tables that were incorrected tagged to begin with.  I have talked with Adobe about this issue and they recommended the Web-based conversion plug-in rather than using the built-in plugin within Microsoft.  They have also stated that they would not correct this issue unless there was an very outspoken topic within their Community Forum....  Does anyone have any suggestions toward this type of scenerio?

Hello Adobe & Community members,  I have an interesting issue that I cant get to the bottom of and would like some assitance please. This is only occuring on 1 specific server in my org.  French language primary application server, users access via RDP, all settings matched to the other app servers in our org.  Basically, user recieves invoices via outlook, when the user is attempting to open the invoice file (PDF) they are presented with an error that says the file is already open in another application.  It does not occur with every single invoice which adds to the frustration here. I tested with setting chrome to the default PDF app and did not run into this issue. If the user saves the file locally they can open the file without issue. Due to the volume of invoices, that is not a good workaround for the team.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, this is driving the users nuts.  Here is what the user

Hi,  We are trying to virtualize Adobe Reader DC using VMware AppVolume.  We currenlty have VMware VDI horizon and like to virtualize and stream  (Not installed on the Golden image) the Adobe Reader DC app in VDI sessions. This means that the Adobe Reader DC wont be installed on Windows it will be virtualized then push to each VDI session users will stream the Adobe Reader DC app. Does Adobe Reader DC supports appstack\virtualization with VMware AppVolume? Any guide will be appreciated.

Good evening, I have a large pdf file cica 10 mb, if I open it from as400 ifs with Adobe Reader it opens the first page with difficulty, the second page freezes completely.If, to open the page, I use google chrome, the page opens immediatelyIf I open the same pdf from a microsoft file server in the cloud, with adobe reader, the page opens immediately without delay.Can you help me? No one tries to install Adobe Reader and "discovers" that they need an antivirus program. You are pissing off your users to make a few cents like a bad spam program from 2004. STOP IT!!!
