Is it possible to export the OCR in a PDF into an XML file? I've tried using File - Save As - XML (with various settings), but that doesn't save the OCR'd text.With Content Editing - Export, there is no XML option.OCR seems to be output with every other file type, except for XML.I've also tried saving as a Word document, and then saving the resulting Word doco as XML. But that doesn't work either as it seems to turn images into XML. I just want the OCR'd text.I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.

Hello,I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to create numerous PDF forms for my company. A good majority of my work day involves working with Acrobat. After upgrading to DC recently, my tab order NEVER stays put. I'll spend 10 minutes arranging a section of fields, then as soon as I hit "Preview", the order is completely screwed up. Returning to the Edit screen shows the order in shambles again. So I spend another 10 minutes re-arranging the same section, and hit Preview again. The order has scattered once again. It usually takes 3 or 4 tries of doing this until the tab order is "locked" in place and results in me wasting an ungodly amount of time.I do have my tab order set to Manual and have unchecked the "Automatically adjust tab order when modifying fields" box in preferences. This has done absolutely nothing.Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I am incredibly sick of dragging fields around when my time could spend elsewhere.Thank you!!

The company I am working for has rendered my services to help them get their information system application migrated from Windows XP machines to Windows 10 machines. The core components of the program were developed in Visual Basic 6, Crystal Reports 8, and Adobe Acrobat 5. I already know 99% of peoples answers are along the lines of "You need to upgrade" or "Why are you using that?!". Hello all,I have started some online basic javascript classes to try to lessen the amount of simply questions I have but in the meantime, my fields guys had one request that I have been working on for a couple days now with no success. On our timesheet with days of the week where users input the hours they worked for the day. I currently am running a document level script and it is working great except some users would like to enter an "X" instead of a zero for the days they dont work. I believe there is a way to pull the value of the field and use an if/then statement but everything I have tried to date is not working or gives a NaN result. Because of it being a weekly calculation, there are multiple variables I am using so I wasnt sure if I was to run an if/then statement for each day or one time toward the end of the script. Hi, I have Adobe Acrobat Standard and I want to create a form that autogenerates a unique number (like invoice number). I think I need to use Javascript but this option is not available. Can you please advise? I also need to mention that this form will be used for different users with Widows and Mac computers.

How to check a date entered is greater than current date? i.e. not expired

A few months ago, I set up shared reviews on a SharePoint server, and they've been working fine. But now I'm getting an error when I try to send a PDF out for Shared Commenting: "The file destination is not valid. Enter a valid location." The only option on the dialog is, "OK." Also, all my files that I've sent out for review over the past few months now have this error: "Could not get new comments. Adobe Acrobat DC cannot access the network. Please verify your computer's network connection and try again." My connection is good.So my question:How do I change the network setting if something has gone wrong with it? I've searched the Help, and looked all over the app, but I cannot find a way to specify network location for reviews. When I try to start a new review, all it gives me is the error saying the destination is not valid -- it doesn't let me view or change anything. I tried repairing the app under the Help menu, but that didn't help. I'm at wits end. Please help.

Hey Everyone,For purposes that don't require getting into I have a form with image fields that will get filled from the tablet pdf expert 6 app.Within the pdf expert 6 app, the user can also annotate with lines stamps and other squiggly lines and such.  However, the lines and squiggly bits appear behind the entered images. Now I found some mentions of locking the annotations or images, but I find myself unable to form a clear image on the workings of how images and annotation view orders are sorted.Could someone help/explain how to solve this (&optionally how this image field image annotation priority business works?)Just to be clear; currently, the images show on top of the annotations, I want the annotations above the images.Thank you in advance for any trouble to be taken.

Hi all i have acrobat dc Version: 18.11.20036.265267. I have a QA pdf document that is used to sign off newly installed equipment. The multiple testing meter's ( make / model / serial ) numbers are captured in this document, but the calibration certificates documents for the test meter has to be attached manually from another file. I would like to enter the meter serial number into a text field which migrates the correct calibration certificate into the QA document (the calibration certificate file name is the serial number). Is there a solution for this? thanks

I thought that plug-in technology would be the slam-dunk answer to my application needs, but was disappointed when I realized that the x64 third party library that I want to use with my plug-in will not work with Win32.  So how can I get it done?The following is an incomplete list of what I want my application to do:Give the user a UI/window in which to interact with PDF pages.  This would preferably be Acrobat.Provide the user with drawing tools with which the user can draw lines, boxes, circles, etc. on pages and have those saved in a layer, with zoom capabilities, for that page.The user will have access to a "snipping tool", similar to Microsoft's Snipping Tool, used to capture and save images from PDF pages to a library/list of images.The user will be able to search for text and images on other yet unopened PDF document pages.The user will be able to use the image library to search for images on pages; including images within images that are on pages.  Here, I assume

The Acrobat SDK documentation mentions that the Pascal calling convention should be used; which I take to mean that the sample project Calling Convention should be set to _sdtcall (/Gz).  However, upon inspecting the Calling Convention properties for the samples, I see __cdecl (/Gd).

I downloaded the Acrobat SDK samples and opened the 'All' solution.  When I try to build, for example, BatesNumbering, I get a LNK1104 error because it cannot open LIBCPMT.lib.I am using the Visual Studio 2013 (v120) Platform Toolset within Visual Studio 2017.

Hi Adobe Community,I am just starting out in learning how to use javascript in the custom calculation script. I am creating a check checklist where each check box equals a value of 1, and that value is totaled at the base of the check list in box A (steps completed.) My next goal is to have the box below (B) either show "NO" or "YES" depending on the value of A. For example, there are 17 steps so if A's value is 0-16 B would be NO and if the value is 17 than it would say YES - meaning the check list is complete or not. Right now, I can only every get B to always say NO or always say YES. I know I am probably making a very basic mistake, but if anyone can help me with my code I would really appreciate it. And is it possible to color the text so that NO would be in red or YES would be green, or is that only possible in excel?
