I scan legal documents. On one of my last updates, something went awry and Enhanced scans started giving me weird options. I see this when I start out >Then when I select the SCAN option this pops up and I can only get image scans instead a crisp document that I need to forward to attorney's etc.I tried uninstalling Acrobat and reinstalling it, but this is still happening. How do I get the option to scan a document, not a color picture?Any and all help is appreciated. I called EPSON and they told me it was an ACROBAT issue.
I would like to align two text fields boxes based on a dropdown field with the option 'yes' or 'no'. if no is selected the two fields align. Here is my code (custom calculate script of event target field) which aligns the event target field to the top left hand corner of the test field. if (this.getField("dropdown").value != "No") {event.target.rect = this.getField("test").rect}The trouble is the event target field is resized to that of the test field! I just want the fields to be aligned not resized.I've used the rect[1], rect[2] etc but can't seem to get it to work? Thanks
I'm trying to create a form that allows me to calculate the total of ticket sales. The tickets are 1 for $50, or 3 for $50.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I have no knowledge of JavaScript, so I'm attempting to figure this out blindly.
Hi, could someone point me to a good resource with a list of adobe and/or javascript functions? I created a bunch of forms with fields using the Number selection from the Format tab and thought everything was fine, but have now realized that small rounding errors accumulate, and the end result might be wrong by one or two cents. On the first form that I’m trying to correct, I have set the Format category to None, and now need to include the $ money sign, the comma separator, and two places after the decimal point. From someone else’s post, in order to include two places after the decimal point, I’ve included in the Run Custom Validation Script:event.value = util.printf("%.2f", event.value); Is this OK to use, or will this also create problems? Is there a good resource of javascript syntax I could look at to figure out how to include decimal places, dollar signs and thousand comma separators?

Hello there!Could someone please tell me how to create a 3d-pdf with Acrobat XI Standard? What do I have to do?Every answer is welcome! Thanks ...Christa.
I have created a PDF form for my customers to use when ordering. I would like to add a feature to the form, so it calculates the price based on values selected in the form. I have used the Vlookup feature in Excel to do this. Is there something similar I can do with scripting in acrobat? I have no background in Java scripting so it would have to be rather simple, which I fear it is not...
I was running Acrobat 2010 on Win10 and created a pdf from webpage. This 'out of memory' error came up. I could save the file (up to the error): it was only 65MB.I thought I was back in the eighties!Installed DC 2015 hoping it was fixed.NOT!I could save the file (up to the error): it was 250MB. Not small but still a lot smaller than the image files I work with.I downloaded the html files: all of them is only 165MB. Converting 165MB should not be a problem in the 21st century.Any solutions?
How do Programmatically de-select the text field options for "Scroll Long Text" and "Check Spelling"?These seem to be turned on by default and it drives me nuts. I need a way to de-select these two options for tens if not hundreds of fields at one go.By the way, the suggestion to select all fields and deselect those two boxes is not gonna help. Been there, done that, expressed profanity.
Hello,I am new to the Adobe SDK but I have been programming in C# for many years. My issue is that we have one huge PDF that we need to split into many smaller PDF files. So far, my code has been running fine but now I have a couple of questions.First, are there any examples of creating a blank PDF? I looked thru the SDK samples and I could not find an example of create a clean, empty PDF using the Create() method. I also used a search tool to look for the phrase "Create(" inside of the .cs files but I could not find anything. If you do not have sample code then could you please point me to where it is in the SDK?Next, I have this very large PDF with over 188,000 pages in it. It is over 300Mb in size. I am trying to split this file into 188 files with 1000 pages in each file. I found the example is the SDK and I am using the InsertPages Method to create the new file like this:newPDFDoc.InsertPages(0, masterPDF, (pgCount-1000), 1000, 0);(p
My conversions are very poor with symbols for letters; improper spacing; etc. There is so much editing that it is not worthwhile to convert. Can I do anything. I purchased the conversion software on line. Thanks for your help.
Here is my current coding;Custom Format:var cPreFix = "";// get prefix elements for spawned pages;var aFieldName = event.target.name.split(".");if(aFieldName.length > 2){// first 2 elements of name array makeup the prefix for fields on a spawned page;cPreFix = aFieldName[0] + "." + aFieldName[1] + ".";}Key Stroke:goNextAlpha(this, event, cPreFix + "ls.1", true); This only occurs when not completely filling in the auto tabs of previous pages, is there additional coding or changes that need to be made. Thanks.
I found some code on Stack OverFlow that allows me to combine pdfs and insert bookmarks - which is pretty close to exactly what i needed:c# - Merging PDFs programatically while maintaining the "Combine files..." bookmark structure? - Stack Overflow however it does not completely satisfy our needs. The code does create a blank pdf and inserts pages and bookmarks for each section inserted, but it does not take bring in bookmarks from the original pdf's as children to the bookmarks it is creating.Example:I have 3 pdfs.Name Desired BookMark Name1.PDF Cover Page (2 pages)2.PDF Test Reports (8 pages) (which has 2 bookmarks inside of it - ABC on page 3 and XYZ on page 83.PDF Operating Manual (6 pages)the first part of my code below builds a 2 dimensional array with the filename and desired bookmark name.the code below does create a new pdf with t
I have created a fillable PDF form in Acrobat Pro DC that needs to tally the scores (on a scale of 1-5) given in several text fields (I used radio buttons), divide it by the total score possible (25) and display it at the end of the form as a percentage. I was told I need a JavaScript custom calculation script. Originally I tried using a simplified field notation, but that did not work. Can anyone help convert this formula to a custom calculation script: ((sum1+sum2+sum3+sum4+sum5)/25)*100. Thank you for your time.
Hello, we have a pdf document that we would like to secure by checking that it opens on a machine belonging to our business domain. This is to prevent it from being copied and pasted on other pcs. Looking for a dynamic spelling plug in for Illustrator CC. We've had a lot of problems this year with spelling errors mainly due to our very fast workflow and not having enough time to proof everything. Does this exist or can it be made?
Greetings:I have an issue that I'm hoping someone can shed some light on.For many years now I have been using Acrobat on a mac to submit forms to our server using the following Acrobat JavaScript code:this.submitForm("https://cfs.orcasnet.com/...#FDF", false, true);(portions of the URL removed for security reasons)This does an URL Encoded HTML POST to our server. For years this has worked fine and the exact same JavaScript code and PDF works on Windows with Internet Explorer (although an older version of Acrobat).I have gone so far as to put a sniffer on the wire. No data is sent or received on the mac after this call is executed but on the Windows/IE the request is sent and a response received (which of course it would have to, to work). This started occurring a couple of weeks ago. This appears to have begun with the 11.10.19 update of Acrobat on the mac. Here is the current configuration:Adobe Acrobat Pro XI Version 11.10.19 (I don't think it has anything to do with this being PRO I t
I see that Adobe Acrobat Pro DC now allows support for date and image fields in Acrobat forms per the link here: What's new in Adobe Acrobat DC However, I don't see that ability on my Acrobat Pro DC.Has anyone had success yet?
How to change the field background color after date is entered in the text field for Acrobat Adobe DC?I would like the background color to be changed to yellow when text in entered into the field.Thank you.
I am trying to calculate Total Hours in a Time sheet I created in Acrobat Pro. I found the script online to calculate hours between In and Out for the day but I am having two issues. If time is not entered in military format then the total for that day is incorrect. As long as I enter military format it gives me correct total. As you can see in line one in below screenshot I am getting correct total.Line two however is giving me -4:00 because my clock in time after lunch is 12:00 and out is 5:00.Line 3 shows time entered as military time.Issue number two. After I get the totals for each day in a time format then how to I add them up to get the total for the week?If I simply add the fields I get incorrect result. I am guessing because I am trying to add time which isn't same as decimal number. This is the script I have in the total box for the day (T1). I have used same code for the remaining day totals and simply change the field names.-----------------------------------------------------
