Dear Community, I cannot create a perfect circle selection. Holding down the Shift key does not work, so I'm able only to draw elliptical selections. Plus, moving them is impossible since the cursor doesn't appear inside the elliptical sellection once it is drawn. Curiously, Rectangular Tool functions properly. Any ideas on what causes the malfunction?

Dear Community, Recently, I found out that my Mac takes at least several seconds each time to change clip's speed or duration (more precisely, to change percentage from 100 to X or to click "Reverse Speed") in the dialogue box, regardless of project's and clip's settings. It's the exact PNG exported from Ai. I take the liberty of o attaching CMYK jpg (600 ppi), just in case. The problem of printing has not occured yet, simply beacuse I did not have to print my Ai projects.

Well... I did what you had advised and there's actually a difference between jpg and png in favour of the latter one. Png version appears to be pefectly antialiased (but the resolution of the png file has been set up to 600 ppi).

Dear Community, if you check attached screenshots, you see jagged edge of the shape on the purple background. The same shape is not aliased on the yellow background. Does this have anything to do with the background colour (I've noticed that magentas and blues were causing this jagged-edge-effect) — or perhaps with the mode my Mac displays colours? Is there any way to avoid this bad-looking aliasing? I'd appreciate any suggestions and help. Best regards, Tomek

That's odd... Now I'm trying to move the widget with the help of the Direct Selection Tool and place the widget on the path. It's impossible, because the widget sort of bounce back as if a transgression of a certain boundary (a minimal distance from the path) was not allowed. Yesterday I was able to transgress it — to put the widget manualy (so to speak) on the path...

Well, I try to get to the bottom of the problem. My shape was supposed to look exactly like this shape of yours. I had rounded corners and I'd added few strokes — and then appeared the faults that we tried to analyze. I still have no idea what was the cause o this "glitch" (was it purely contingent)? I am not quite sure if the corner of the then rounded rectangle was the root of the distortion of the stroke curvature, because today I created new shape precisely the way I did yesterday. The corner (not a smooth) anchor point is rounded as you can see, the locations of widgets are strange — but today the curvature looks just fine (there's no this mysterious fault anyway)...

Thanks. Nevertheless, I still don't get the merit of the case. The problem is I would like to take the advantage of the possibility of rounding the corners of a corner anchor point — in order to, let's say, quickly create a symmetrically rounded rectangle solely with the help of the corners dialogue box, and then add as many strokes as I want to. Is it possible to do that this way? (I have the impression the analyzed case is rather dicouraging...)

Dear Larry, looks like you were right afterall. The questionable anchor point was in fact a corner (and then rounded, hence this bizarre dislocation of the corner widgets). I converted it to a smooth point and now the faults are gone:
