Render and Replace replaces a work video with a solid video file without any effects applied but the new file should have the "final product" of what you expected from your effects. You could do a right click on the clip in the timeline and select "restore un rendered" to get the clip with the mask back inito the timeline.

You may want to try typing M to show the mask property and clicking on it. Also, just try clicking on the clip, in the timeline, with the mask or shape path.

Are you morphing to a cut of similar shots? Morph cut can only handle somewhat minor fixes. Is there enough overlap on both sides of the cut?

You may want to try re-setting preferences: close the application, then hold down Alt (Windows) or Option (macOS) while launching the program until the reset dialog appears . For a more comprehensive reset, hold down Shift + Alt (Windows) or Shift + Option (macOS) while launching to simultaneously reset preferences and clear the plugin cache.

In Premiere can you right click on the linked comp and choose edit original? This may open it in AE and hopefully help solve the problem.

Can you please give us system specs? Have you tried resetting preferences? In Premiere Pro 2023 and later. Press the Shift key and launch Premiere Pro. Release the Shift key when the splash screen appears. The Reset options Dialog Box launches. Choose "Reset app preferences" Click the "Continue" button. Premiere Pro launches. Allow a few moments as Premiere Pro resets the preferences.

You may want to try re-setting preferences and see if it helps. To reset After Effects preferences, close the application, then hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift on Windows or Command + Option + Shift on Mac while reopening it to bring up a dialog box to confirm the reset. This process will delete the current preference file and launch After Effects with its default settings, which can help fix issues.
