What operating system are you on? Have you tried resetting preferences? o reset After Effects preferences, close the application, then launch it while holding down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Command + Option + Shift (Mac OS) . This will open the Startup Repair Options dialogue box, where you can choose to reset preferences.

You might want to try pre-composing the layer with the effects and see if that helps. Right click on layer name in the timeline and choose Pre-compose. I hope that this helps.

Could it be a corrupt video fie that you're trying to export? Maybe try exporting some simple text and only and individual video files to try to troubleshoot and see if that works. I'm sorry that you're going through this.

Have you tried making a copy of the original layer (so that you don't lose it.) Then dragging the new layer from the project panel onto the layer with the trim paths in the Timeline while holding Option (Mac) or Alt (Windows?)

If you have access to After Effects you may want to right click on the graphic in the project panel and click edit original. When it opens in After Effects see if you can drill down to the text in the timeline and change what is needed.
