sorry but that is unacceptable. that means in every image where i use the generative AI to fix some stuff, like retouching removing an object that is just 120x120 pixel i can´t embed keywords in it? that is ridiculous. i mean if these credentials would be secure in the first place.. they are not. but now they are annoying on top. at least LR could warn the user that the metadata is not embedded into the file. and why is that only affecting JPG (and PNG as i noticed right now)? i don´t think i have ever noticed this behavior with my TIFF files. View the post in your Web browser.] Adobe's Inspect Tool shows that your sample image contains content credentials for content generated by Adobe Firefly via Photoshop: According to this help page, "Adobe automatically applies Content Credentials to assets generated with Adobe Firefly features, such as Generative Fill in Photoshop", regardless of your Photoshop settings. of course that would also explain why shutterstock rejected a landscape image where i removed a sign with a logo because of "generative Ai". that makes these AI tools pretty much useless for me. thank for finding this out. now i have to look how i work around it..... 😞 i am using exiftoolgui. any idea where exactly i can find the content credential entry that i have to delete? how is the tag called? edit: ok i found the category of metadata i need to remove with exiftool. after i created a batch for exiftool and executed it lightroom is writing the metadata fine. thanks for your help

in my photoshop i have content credentials disabled in the settings (both option are set to NONE). i also checked in lightroom export settings, that feature is also disabled. some of the images affected where never exported by LIGHTROOM, just imported and keyworded. it also only affects JPG files. why would TIFF files are not affected when it is about content credentials? if LR can not write to files with content credentials as a "safety reason" (to protect the integrity) it should affect all files with content credentials, not just JPG files. or content credentials are not stored in TIFF files? i have no idea because i don´t use that feature. my main concern is that LR does not write the metadata into the file. if it would write the data into the file and make an ADDITIONAL XMP file it would not be such a serious issue for me. it would still be annoying behavior but not potentially harmful. but i can´t trust LR when it works this way.

i have an issue with some JPG files in my library. just some JPG files not all! i import my files, then i edit them and keyword them in lightroom. i let LR write the keywords etc. directly into the TIFF and JPG files. and that works 98% of the time for JPG files. but for SOME JPG files an XMP sidecar file is writen, the keywords are not written directly into the JPG files. instead LR creates an XMP sicecar file. i tried CTRL+S, i tried the menu option to write metadata back into the files. i let the system idle for 48 hours because i thought it might be written when the system is not in use. nothing helped. the files are not write protected, not in a specific folder. i am not asking for advice how to setup lightroom. the settings are correct. for 49 out of 50 files the metadata is writen into the JPG files correctly. with TIFF there is no such issue at all. it is extremly annoying to have XMP files beside JPG files. also i want the metadata stored directly in the files as security should my library be corrupted. what could be the issue? windows 10, latest lightroom version.

yeah but unfortunately that has nothing to do with my problem. 🙂 i got the code in january 2024 for my sales in 2023. i tried to renew my subscription with that code in july 2024 as i wrote above and it did not work. the reason i suspect is, that you can only renew a subscription 5 times with these contributor bonus codes. i have at least used the bonus codes since 2019 for my subscription. but if that is the case, why giving me this code when i can not use it? also why does nobody at adobe seems to know for sure? the support told me in july that i should try again in november. some people here should have run into the same problem when you can only use the bonus codes 5 times to renew a subscription.

hi, i have a problem with the subscription code i got from the contributor bonus program. i am a member since the start and have gotten this bonus code for at least 5 years in a row. now when i put in the code to renew my subscription, following the instructions on the website i linked too below, i get the message that i have "reached the limit" for such bonus codes. https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/how-to-redeem-creative-cloud-bonus-code.html this worked fine the last years but with the code i got in 2024 i get an error message that i reached the limits for such codes. does that mean this "bonus" i got is not valid? that i get from now on a subscription bonus code from adobe that is useless? why then giving it to people at all that have reached the limit? i can´t be the only one who got this bonus subscription code 5 times?! i asked the adobe stock support about this and also the general adobe support. both are pretty much useless, the solution they gave me did not work. the persons in the chat seem to be more clueless than i am. i asked about this in july 2024 (ADB-35438922-S3T4) already and the support told me to wait until my current subscription runs out in november and try then again. of course my subscription did run out now and it still does not work. so i can not use photoshop and lightroom anymore. my current support ticket (ADB-37352569-T5N2) regarding this problem is open since november 22 and nothing happend. there is only one day left for the adobe black friday deals and i really would like to know if my bonus code is really useless or not. tia....

when this text editing (it really was just putting text on top of an image) issue plagued me it doesn´t matter what the image specs were.. i have a 32 core threadripper with fast nividia cards (back then i guess it was a RTX 2080) and the text editing was sluggish no matter what resolution or bitdepth the image was. i find it a bit funny to think that todays systems are not performant enough to do text editing because the reolution is to high or it´s 16 or 32 bit colordepth. i think that´s what you are getting at? when you can do the same text editing in any other image editing program with a sandy bridge system from 2012 just fine.. but thankfully this bug was fixed a while ago.

ja 100% den habe ich dieses jahr bekommen (um genau zu sein am 22.02.2024). mein jetziger abozeitraum ist noch nicht abgelaufen (läuft im november ab) aber bei den informationen zum gutschein steht: Der kostenlose Zeitraum kann kumuliert werden, sofern du genau das gleiche Abo wie dein aktuelles Abo unter der gleichen Adobe ID einlöst.

habe ein problem mit einem abo gutschein den ich als contributor bonus bei adobe stock bekommen habe. was läuft da schief? werde morgen mal mit dem adobe service chaten, aber hatte jemand ähnliche probleme? ich habe nur einen gutschein letztes jahr verwendet und mit dem jetzigen gutschein will ich das abo verlängern. warum da also was von "höchstzahl" steht, wenn ich jedes jahr nur einen verwende, kapiere ich nicht.

i will backup the folders and then delete them. if it works without an issue i delete the backup after a few days. i just wanted to know if i am correct to assume it is from old photoshop versions. of course i am extra careful in the programs folder. 🙂

so i am doing some cleaning of old leftover files on my SSD. i found these folders and i am not sure if i can delete them. they seem to contain data for the neural filters and some other stuff. i think they are leftovers from old photoshop versions (v22, v23, v24). it is not much but i am not going back to an old photoshop version and i don´t know why i should keep the files when i don´t need them. can someone tell me if they are indeed leftovers from old photoshop versions and if it is safe to delete them?

i have just started to look at the AI denoiser. i have some old DNG files that have lots of noise (small point and shoot camera). how can i access the original raw data in the DNG if i need to? if we have acess to that original data in the denoised DNG i could maybe delete the original DNG. i mean i see no way to get back to the original data once i have denoised the file. but that sure would be handy.

Bonuses for 2022 were awarded in February of 2022. that´s the bonus for the year 2021 but not 2022. the bonus are awarded for the year prior.. 🙂 as there is no word about a bonus program for 2022 i guess there is none. 😞

i have 3-5 printer installed on my systems. when i encounter this issue i copy the whole content, all the layers of the file that crashes into a new one and overwrite the old. thought that sucks when it is photos and you want the exif data to be preserved. but it is the quickest way to print without exiting photoshop, reseting preferences and setup my own preferences again.

Is it too tedious for Adobe to fix a decade old BUG? The problem you are missing is, that you don´t know WHEN this will happen. You want to print a file and then CRASH .... you may lose all the work you have not saved. I tend to save often and even have the automatic save enabled. But i still lost some time because of this BUG Especially as i work on multiple files most of the time. To fix the problem once you know it, is not the main problem (at least not for me).

as i wrote that was asked a decade (or maybe 8 years) ago (including write support). that´s what FULL SUPPORT of HEIF/HEIC means. not only opening files. 🙂 requesting it again makes not much sense i guess. yes on the apple side the support is maybe there (including write support?) ... even more puzzling that windows user did not get the same kind of support.

same issue with the latest PS version 23.0.1 this issue reapears again and again over the years (see forum posts). a preferences reset has fixed it in the past but this time it only fixes it for some time. after a restart or two it´s crashing again. maybe it´s time for adobe to have a closer look at their print dialog as other software companys have no issues at all.

i tried all that. as i wrote i don´t even get into the printer driver dialog as PS crashes as soon as i press the print button. i restarted the systems a few times, cleaned temp files, etc. pp. the only thing that temporarily helps is reseting the preferences. i have 4 epson printer installed. i had such issues before in the last couple of years. PS is notorious for having print issues. but reseting the preferences normaly fixed it..... or the next PS version fixed it. i still don´t understand why PS has so many printing issues when my other graphic applications don´t had issues at all for the last decade and longer.

hello. doese it crash on any file size or large ones? Any file any size. I reseted the PS preferences. That helps for a few prints, thought the print dialog behaves as if i am running PS on a 386 DX40. It is very unresponsive. Then i start PS again and it crashes again.

Latest Version of Photoshop crashes to desktop as soon as i press the PRINT button in PS. No matter if Printers are connected or not. Files do not matter, crashes with a new Document or any other File i try to print. I tested with 8 different Applications, only Photoshop has this issue. 1) many corporate users don´t have access to the microsoft store. i often think people have never worked in a big company and here are only freelancers and private citizen working on their smartphone photos. 🙂 otherwise they would have a clue how difficult it can be to get some stuff on your work PC. 2) it is 99 cent for every user. sure that´s not much ... but where will it end? the OS is not my graphic application... adobe photoshop is. support a format out of the box. don´t rely on third partys. 3) it i not working in my case as demonstrated. codec is installed but it does not work. now adobe can blame microsoft and microsoft can blame adobe.... good for them, bad for the user.

As noted above (and on the Help page), you need to install both codecs – HEIF and HEVC – from Microsoft Windows. As noted above, other tools (like Capture One) do the exact same thing as Adobe in relying on codec support at the o/s level. on our corporate systems we have no access to the microsoft store. on my private system i did go to the website and installed the heif extension. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/heif-image-extensions/9pmmsr1cgpwg?activetab=pivot:overviewtab it says it is installed (see screenshot). but when i open photoshop and try to load sample files all i get is an error message (photoshop can not recognize the file extention). well, the filenames are xxxxxx.heif. so i tried the windows own photo tool to see if the heif extension works. nope, it says i need the HEVC extension (see screenshot 2). IF adobe would natively support HEIF/HEIC all this crap would not happen.... i run the CC version of photoshop v22.5.0. i tried my own HEIC/HEIF files and sample files from the net (in case my own HEIF files are not 100% standard conform). @Sergiu_M-D schrieb: It does work for me; I have installed the free "HEIF Image Extensions" from the Microsoft store, and Photoshop can finally open HEIC files.
