Thanks for the great advice and help. I already converted all of the embedded images to linked, but I couldn't find a way to convert all of the "pasted" images into usable files, except by exporting the book as PDF and opening them in Photoshop and relink them by hand (that's going to be a lot of work). My temporary solution though, was to break the file in 2 parts, and they were converted and opened fine with CC2019, put the parts together and now the file is usable in ID2019. I understand your comments and suggestions and I guess I will have to do that as soon as possible before "it blows up in my face". Thanks again. In my opinion, Adobe should add a feature to convert pasted images into linked images, just like it is possible to convert embedded into linked images. And yes, I know, the pasted images are probably an undesired resolution and quality for many people, but then there are many people that probably do that, and then they pass the project to me, with hundreds of these images already "pasted" into a document with no solution at hand. Hi Rob day: I don't need to give it any time to open because the "convert" dialog box is up for about 5 seconds and then it goes away without me knowing if this is working or not. I do wait to see what happens, but nothing happens. I try to do the same open command once again, and the software starts to "convert" again for about 5 seconds and then the dialog disappears. Then, repeat again. I also turned the display performance to Fast, disabled the OpenGL function, changed some other preferences to see if anything would help. And still nothing. ... View more

Hi Scott: I tried doing that and a dialog box said that the software wasn't able to open the IDML file and that it may need a plugin. As far as I know, there is no plugin needed to do that, and it should be a built-in feature to open files from other ID versions through IDML. -The IDML file was only 600 mb. Thanks for the help, though, but I believe the problem is related to the size of the file, because when I open the file in ID 2018, it opens perfectly fine in less than 2 or 3 seconds, and ID2019 is not even able to convert it or give me an error message. I have also saved the file as a Template and try to open it with ID2019 and it does exactly the same (tries to convert, but it doesn't do it without any error message or anything that indicates a problem). –The template size is 2.6 GB I have opened other smaller files with ID 2019 and they open just fine. I hope there is an option in the Preferences that I can enable to open the file even without the graphics linked. ... View more

Hello Vidya: After doing a couple of additional tests I finally found out what the problem is. I have created some markers with some characters like : < and : >   (greater than and lower than brackets). When I export a timeline that contains these characters in the markers, the XML file does not import at all. If I remove the characters, the XML will import properly. This behavior only happens when using the Premiere Pro version 2017.0.2 If I use a previous version of Adobe Premiere, the XML file imports correctly when the brackets are included in the markers' comments. You can get the XML file from this link: Dropbox - Public My conclusion is that the XML importer is still not working properly in this version of Premiere Pro, because it should be capable of parsing the markers' data correctly as it is possible with all the other versions of Premiere. So, my response to your questions are: 1.- Multiple projects or one project? :  Multiple projects when using markers that contain the brackets < and > . 2.- Version of Premiere Pro:  2017.0.2 3.- Tried to create a new project and reimport? : Yes. Only those without the brackets will import properly. Those projects with the brackets included in the markers' comments WILL NOT import properly. As a final note, you may be wondering why I am using the brackets in the markers. The reason behind it is because I like to export the markers' comments as a Comma Separated Value (csv) and whenever I have a comma in the text, the markers' Export command will export my markers incorrectly. I am trying to export the simplest form of data for later manipulation, but the export to TEXT doesn't work and the CSV export will look at my commas and tries to split the text in unwanted segments making the whole thing a mess. That is the perfect fix if you only use one set of sequence images at the same frame rate. But if you use a mixture of frame rate frequencies (24, 30, 60, etc) in the same project, then the best option is to use the old JPG importer and do the Frame Interpretation for each import. ... View more

I have exactly the same problem. After Effects 2017 DOES NOT KEEP THE INTERPRETATION of the footage, even within the project open, it does revert to 30fps. I am using a sequence of images as footage that needs to be interpreted as a 24fps sequence. The image sequence constantly reverts to 30fps and I am unable to render a decent movie. Thanks for the answer Mylenium. I agree with you that those errors are meaningless, and they are very annoying since they do nothing for the user to avoid the cause of the problem. I did restart the application and the plugin seems to be working as expected, however I am afraid to turn the layer off and tweak its parameters, but if I need to do that, I'd probably do a save of the project, just in case. I was playing with an effect applied on the layer I had in the timeline (I believe it was "Set Matte"), I turned off the viewing icon in the layer in the timeline and continued adjusting the effect to see the results of the tracking Matte being set on the bottom layer. That's when the warning sign came up and never went away until I forced quit the application. The main problem is why this warning comes up when I tweaked the effect on the layer with the viewing icon turned off, but most important why the cryptic warning text?
