Guys you have got some serious performance issues cropping up here. This is across PC and Mac systems, with constant crashes with various plugins being highlighted. This includes extractor which we use on all our jobs. This is in both 23.4 and now 23.5. Timeline lags, and rendering gets bogged down... It's a pretty horrendous user experience. If you are rendering in C4D using Redshift and have an active comp open in AE. They both crash with driver errors, meaning a restart.   Windows machines: Ryzen 9 5950X, 128gb ram, RTX 3090x2. Done that. This is a pretty huge flaw to release AE with. The preview just bogs down, purging cash does nothing or just makes the screen go grey. The only thing that fixes it is restarting the computer. This is on multiple windows 10 machines, with all the same specs. ... View more

It certainly is what we are seeing. We seem to have gone backward quite drastically with this realease. The constant Nvidia GPU crashes, memory leaking, strobbing mattes, poor playback... I have posted two examples and had no replies.   You really need to disable the auto-update feature in creative cloud. Even if you have previously deactivated it, it reactivates and installs this version! ... View more

Hi Nishu, thanks for your reply.   It's been happening since the update, across several projects. One a comp of ACES CG passes HD composition and today a large comp of just static images 2k with drop shadow creating a photo montage on a 7k composition. They are all in 3D space and there are 60 or so images. I wouldn't say either was massively complex. Both used Redgiant plugins only. Multi monitor set up, 2x4k monitors. Plugged into one of the 3090 GPUs.  Not sure how it can be running out of GPU memory. 48gb!   Cheers ... View more

Actually, it is not fixed. One of the rtx 3090s is attached via Thunderbolt as an EGPU. This stops all realtime previews. ... View more
