Hi All, Went to work on some photos today and was unable to open them either through Bridge or PS. Please see a copy of the message I receive in the attachment at the bottom of this. I use Windows 11 on a desktop. I am running PS and Bridge through the Creative Cloud program. They are both up to date. I've not had this problem ever and don't understand what is happening since I'm using PS 2026, not 2025. I am able to open the photos if I use the "open with" command and tell it to use PS 2026. I rename the photo and save it but when I go to open it again I get the same message that Windows can't find PS 2025 exe. Please help. Thanks for your attention. Sandra

I forgot to say that I did purge the cache for the entire folder as well as for the individual folders.

Hi . . . thanks for the response. I appreciate it. I did try the Filter option but it did not pick up the 16-35 lens, although it did pick up the other two I was using. I don't know why it didn't find that lens because I was able to locate an image using that lens on my own and all of the metadata information was complete and correct. I tried three option searches in Filter: lens, focal length and 35mm focal length and it never found any image using the 16-35, in fact, it never listed the 16-35 lens at all. That is what was so confusing. Someone else suggested using the Find option, All Metadata and that eventually found the images using the 16-35. So my problem is solved but I am left with a conundrum as to why the other options didn't work. Again, thank you for responding. I really appreciate it. Regards, Sandra

Hi . . . I tried the lens option under Filter but the 16-35 lens was not listed even though I confirmed all the metadata in the one image I was able to find myself. I didn't understand why that lens wasn't listed as the two other lenses which I used were both listed. Very strange. Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. Sandra

Hi . . . thanks for the very fast reply. I appreciate it. I tried the find option but never saw the All Metadata segment at the end of the list. It worked beautifully. Was able to search and find images taken with a particular lens, selected them all and copied them to a new folder. Good to go, now. Again, I truly appreciate the help. Sandra

On a recent trip, I used a 16-35mm lens together with a couple of other lenses. Adobe Bridge does not locate images using that lens with either the filter function or the find function. On the metadata of one image using the 16-35 lens which I located myself all the metadate is correct. I have exhausted all online advice which I can find. Anyone know why Bridge won’t locate the lens? Thank you.

Hi All, In Camera Raw Under Optics, Profile, Use Profile Corrections, the "Use Profile Corrections" used to automatically find my Nikon lenses whenever I opened a RAW file. Now I have to initiate it with every file. I shoot mainly in RAW so this is quite annoying. Is there a way to have it automatically open the Use Profile Corrections and find my lenses? Hi All, I also am having major issues with Camera Raw opening photos into Photoshop. Tried looking for an answer everywhere and so here I am. Firstly I am on Windows 10 and the latest versions of Photoshop and Camera Raw, I am on the subscription program. My issue has been opening 2 (or more) RAW photos from Bridge, by double clicking on file, into Camera Raw so that all edits are made to both photos for a similar look. It USED TO BE that you could make the edits and then open both photos into PS by clicking Open or in my case clicking on OPEN COPIES. Both photos would then open into PS and the work continued. Now that doesn't happen any more. Sometimes one photos opens into PS but not both or as in the case just now, NONE opened anywhere, At least I was unable to locate them. I am in the middle of a project and so out of desperation I clicked on OPEN AS OBJECT. Both files opened into PS. I changed the Smart Object Layer into a Background Layer and was able to continue editing. That's fine and it's only one more step - changing to Background Layer - but you know one step mutliple times a day isn't really one step. Please fix Camera Raw so the workflow is at it used to be: Open multiple photos from Bridge into CR, edit, Click on Open or Open Copies, open in PS as multiple photos, save and Good to Go. Please.

I am searching for ways to automatically back up all of the work I do in PS on images on my computer. At this point, I am investigating how Adobe Photoshop and Cloud Storage syncing works. I have over 1 TB of photos stored on my computer in one folder with multiple sub-folders (probably hundreds). My questions: Once I upload all of my photos to the Cloud and “sync” them with the folders on my computer, as I work on an image on my computer are those same changes made to the photo in the Cloud? If I add or delete a folder in my computer, is that folder added to or deleted from the folder in the Cloud? Another scenario: If, instead of having all the photos on my computer I have them on an external hard drive, would the syncing process work the same as if they are on my computer. And, finally, are there any other options for automatically getting my backup photos (where ever they may be stored) to reflect any and all changes made on a daily basis to the images stored on my computer (or external hard drive)? Please be aware that I am not a technical guru nor do I have thousands upon thousands of dollars for this project. I appreciate any and all advice.

Good morning All, In Adobe Bridge preferences I have Preserved File Name checked so I can keep track of the original image if I rename it. The issue is that sometimes the Preserved File Name appears in the Metadata Panel and sometimes it doesn't and I don't understand why that would happen. Has anyone had that happen and, if so, do you know how to make sure the information always appears in the Metadata Panel. Thanks for the help and stay well. Sandra

Hi . . . thanks for all the help. I appreciate it. I changed the action to include as the first step: Layers>flatten image and that worked. I now have an action to easily save .psd's to .jpgs. Thanks everyone.

Hi JJMack . . . thanks for responding so quickly to me. The dialog “file exists do you want to replace it” pops up when you do a “save as” for a .jpg to .jpg. I’m saving a .psd to a .jpg and that dialog does NOT show up in that process. On the same screen where you change “save as type” from .psd to .jpg there is a “Save: As a copy” box which you can choose and I believe it will then add “copy” to the file name. However, I do NOT choose that option. This is what I find very confusing. Also if it makes a difference I do NOT save in the cloud; I save to a desktop computer. Thanks, ScottishHorseLady

I created an action whereby I save a .psd to a .jpg as follows: Go to File “Save As” Change from .psd to .jpg Choose Save Choose Image Options: 12 Maximum Choose “OK” Close file And the action works fine EXCEPT for one thing, it adds “copy” to the name of the file. If I do all of the steps in the action MANUALLY the name of the file remains the same with the exception that it changes the extension from .psd to .jpg So to clarify if I am saving an image with a file name of “Black Horse running” and use the action the image file name changes to “Black Horse running copy. jpg”. If I follow the same steps to save the image but do it manually the image file name is “Black Horse running.jpg”. Does anyone have an idea first of all why it’s happening and secondly how can I fix it so the word copy goes away. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to respond to me.

In the current version of Adobe Bridge, 9.0.2.219 X64, I cannot move or copy an image from one folder to another. I get the following message: "Cannot move "A\B\C\D\E\M%20N%20O%20P%20%20.%208x10.jpg". The item is no longer available." In this example I used ABCDE to represent the words of the file location name which the message actually contains and the MNOP represents the words of the name of the image itself which the message actually uses with the percentages. On the message menu there is also graphic of a white X in a red circle. It says "cannot move" or "cannot copy" depending on which function I chose. I am working on a project where I have to copy well over 100 images, sort them and then create a slideshow with titles and not being able to copy images I want to another folder for sorting is making the job almost impossible. If anyone know the answer this problem, please let me as soon as possible. I appreciate the courtesy of your time and effort.
