Monring Rishbah,    That is exactly the problem, and is exactly what is not working.    On this particular machine, I do have to have inDesign 2021 as well as inDesign 2022 due to our use of a plugin which hasn't been updated to the 2022 version yet. I'm wondering if that, or the way/order I installed them, has played a part.   To clarify, this exact process (inD 2022 only) with that very same .acb file has worked (and still does) perfectly well on my M1 MacBook Pro at home.  The Mac Mini desktop machine at work however..... ... I appreciate the reply Rob.    In this instance, the .acb files were dragged from the Applications>inDesign>Presets>Swatch Library on the old Mac (where they worked perfectly fine), and into my dropbox. And then from dropbox, into the exact same location on the new Mac.    I'm not sure where the original .acb files were sourced as I personally didn't source them - but I'm guessing our Pantone Colour Manager extension via the code in the new Pantone Books we purchased just before the pandemic hit.    To clarify - these exact .acb files have worked on previous machines, and also currently work on my MacBook Pro at home. use adaptive wide angle, under the filter menu, it is meant for applications such as this where the image is distorted/curved from the angle of the lens used when taking the photograph. The final image will not be square and will need cropping but you can straighten horizontals and/or verticals this way. In my experience there is no substitute for white C-0 M-0 Y-0 K-0, anything else I would define as a colour, sometimes the stock that is being printed onto isn't a bright white, that can make printing look a little off but the paper stock colour is nothing you can control with ink colours. Yesterday I tried rotating the flag image by 90 degrees and it still placed at 33%, then after Rob Days post #32 I tried resizing the image but keeping proportions the same, it still placed at 33% unless you changed the image format or saved for web. ... Hi Stephen, excuse my ignorance, but surely that metadata would appear in any jpeg file that contains metadata where the resolution is 72dpi, if so, why does this problem not occur in every other jpeg with 72dpi resolution that's imported to InDesign? I can understand that, one thing you could do though is to create a PSD action to convert any image file to an image format/spec of your choosing, you could even make that action operate on a folder of images. The action could 1. open the file 2. convert to cmyk 3. apply colour profile 4. resave image in whatever format you prefer 5. close file then move onto the next image in the folder, automatically or by an assigned key press, command+F5 for instance. That is what I do to process any RGB files that come to me, after any processing, we convert to cmyk/save as .eps with a colour profile/close the file. TIF gives lossless file compression so better image quality, I have been using .eps files for 20+ years and we have a consistent colour workflow for internal and externally printed files. I only use jpegs for web, but I know lots of people use different workflows. ... View more

I agree, I just used image size to resize to 1500px wide, keeping the same proportions (1500 x 728), and it imports at 50% unless I saved it for web then it imports at 100%. There could well be other dimensions that cause this issue, until someone uses it and realises, it will go unnoticed. These applications are huge, I have no idea how big the dev teams are on them and the amount of code involved, there are always going to be bugs, some bigger than others, some affecting more people more obviously. Perhaps saving your files for web as jpegs in future is the way forward, the format is the same but they will place at the correct size, the other option is to continue and check each time you place a file that it has placed at the correct dimensions. Sadly, finding the fault on this user forum won't get the problem fixed, the majority of people here are users like you and me, although sometimes Adobe staff check on the forums. Best bet is to use this link Feature Request/Bug Report Form explain the problem, include a link to this forum post so whoever looks into it can see that the problem is reproducible on other systems by other users and hope Adobe fix it soon. ... I guess it is just one of those freak bugs, a jpeg of particular dimensions placed into InDesign does this, you couldn't imagine it so you couldn't test for it... It isn't a solution but at least you are aware of this and can save your files accordingly until this gets fixed, I won't suggest a timeline for that though, maybe next update/maybe never... ... It seems to be something with those dimensions  that causes the issue. I've created a new image in Photoshop to 3300x1602 pixels, saved as jpeg and saved for web as jpeg. The file saved as a jpeg places in Indesign at 33% whereas the file saved for web as jpeg places at 100%. Sadly I can't use it at work, my Mac Pro with dual Fire Pro GPUs doesn't have a 4k/Retina display so it won't work, but my 2013 Retina MacBook Pro with a GT650m GPU works a treat and to be honest I must be a lucky one as I've not had problems with the GPU acceleration at all, just high res images updated fast. ... Personally, I still don't see why there is a requirement for a 4k/Retina display, if the GPU is supported then the acceleration should be applied. Requiring a 4k/Retina display is about as relevant as requiring a Logitech keyboard or your computer to be facing south. ... View more

Thanks Steve, I have checked and no, it hasn't, to be honest I don't think I have ever even launched Font Book as I use FEX and Typeface for all my font handling, and no, I don't run them both on the same machine. I've just checked another system at work and they are in the same /Library/Fonts folder, but they do not show up in any font menus. Also just logged into my own server, a Mac mini running 10.13, the fonts are in the same folder but do not show up in any font menus, although that machine is not running Adobe CC. I don't think they are meant to show up as they just have glyphs and symbols for maths and particular languages and the system uses them when needed. note: they are in the /Library/Fonts folder in the root of the HD, NOT in the users ~/Library/Fonts folder, this is empty on all three systems. ... Tnaks Frans, That's all well and good, but I'm constantly activating and deactivating fonts for use with different jobs, I wouldn't be seeing the new fonts I enabled unless I set them as favourites.
