Hi, I have done all of this, in fact the PS uninstaller didn't completely uninstall so I ran IObit uninstaller that usually does a thorough job, then I ran PS cleaner which was difficult at first as it needs winzip to do this, and I don't have winzip. Eventually I was able to open and run the cleaner, then I rebooted the PC and reinstalled PS. This time I got a new error advising that something went wrong, but that message has disappeared. Maybe I need to do it all again? David
