By now I found out that the problem is not limited to Premiere but globaly on the Computer. I made a check on what the Buttons actually do (online keyboard test) and for some reason it is like this: - Up key acts as "page up" - down key as "page down" - left as "home" - right as "end". I have not been able to solve the problem yet. Language Settings are correct, made a Hardware reset. I also don't know if an Adobe update caused the error, is just where I noticed first. But if you are having the same problem, maybe...? Any ideas on how to solve that are welcome in any case.

Yes, I am definitly using left and right. Up and down are also behaving strange. They move the view of the timeline. - I tried on another computer. There I don't have the problem. (but the Computer where the problem occurs is my main workstation. Would be nice to be able to fix it :)) - I tried 2 versions. The latest 2025 and 2024. Both have the problem. I trashed the preferences, but no success. I have no function key pressed accidently either. It's a Windows 11 PC.

Hi, the arrow keys for moving "Step Forward 1 Frame" and "Step Back 1 Frame" in the timeline suddenly jump to the beginning or end of the sequence. I checked the keyboard layout and there everything is fine. A bug?

Hello, I downloaded some Prism Lens Effects Templates to play around with. My main goal is to get a Prism Effects without the source image still visible in the center. I only want the reflections, blurry, dreamy parts and overlays etc. I attach a screenshot. In the example, the woman in the middle is the source image (Layer 17 Preview). Everything else is refering to that layer (adjusment-Layer). Deactivating the source image layer would of course make everything disappear. Is there a way to do it anyway? (Muting a layer but get the results of the adjusment layer...). Any idea how I can create this (or simular) Prism-Effects, without the sharp original image in the center? I roughly photoshoped it to explain what I mean. Doesn't have to be that template, but since I am already having it ... Thank you, rené

I actually tried that aproach already a while ago. It also depends what you paint. Especially when painting with soft edges or dark colors I had problems in keying out the green reference layer. Adobe Fresco and ProCreate have a preview function (showing the canvas on a second screen). However the reference layer which we paint on top off, is also shown. However you can overlay a grid which is invisible in the second monitor. If there would be any way to overlay a custom image instead of the grid... But I guess it's not possible, is it?

The process would be: Layer 1 (base-layer or background layer) is an image of a landscape or whatever, which I use as a reference Layer 2 above is an empty layer, where I paint (with an Apple Pencil for example) onto the reference image. Layer 3 and so on are also layers where I paint. What I would like to get out is the entire paint-process as a video or image-sequence (png) but without Layer 1. Instead of Layer 1 I would like a transparent background. If Layer 2, Layer3 and so on could be exported as individual sequences, that would be even better, but not essential. Naming of the layer can always be the same. The order as well.

Hi, I am searching for the same problem/method. I would like to capture a drawing-process of a specific layer. The solution with scripts to sequentially numbered images sound interesting. Would that capture transparence too? Do you have a link where to find this kind of scripts?

I have tried a lot of stuff solving this distortion problem, that - to be honest - I don't even remember if I did try reinstalling premiere. Surely not the Creative Cloud. I will though, good idea! Maybe that will also solve that I see a lot of instances of Adobe CEP HTML Engine running at the same time... (I don't know what the do anyway)

Thanks. Don't know if that's a relieve or rather not 😄 Do you think it would help to make a clean installation of the system? or is it rather a hardware whatever issue.

It is a very nice machine indeed, but has two problems with premiere. One is the one I described here. The other I reported in another post, that in Premiere (and only in Premiere) Videoplayback has horizontal distortion https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/image-distortion-in-fullscreen/td-p/12399973 Both still unsolved issues 😞

By Filebrowser I mean the File Explorer. Of course I could drag and dropfiles. But it also happens when I want to save the project, export something, load a LUT in Lumetri and so on. And it does not happen regularly, it's more a lottery when it works and when not...

Hi, I have a very annoying bug: When I open the filebrowser from within Premiere (to save a project, or to import material, or load a LUT or whatever) the explorer window doesn`t appear and I get stuck and can`t do anything anymore except to force quite Premiere. It doesn`t happen every time, but rather randomly and often enough to really get annoyed. I had to repeat so much work already. I tried to change windows settings to make windows always appear in front, but that didn`t do it. It seems, Premiere gets stuck while opening the explorer. I am working on windows 10, newest version of Premiere (it already happened on the previous version as well). Anything I can do to fix this? thanks!

Exactly. It is happening specifically when previewing the timeline (or the source-material) in fullscreen view on the laptop display AND on an external display (HDMI) as well. (and especially in horizontal movements.)

I can`t take a screenshot of what happens, but recreated it in photoshop to get an idea. Very strange though: I just tried video-screen-recording while playback (using the windows+G command). While I was recording, the error-effects disappeared. When stopping the screen-recording, the distortion was back again. Tha camera-model doesn`t matter. It`s the same with H265, H264 Yotutube or ProRes-Recorded material on Ninja

Hey, I have a new Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE Laptop (windows10), which carries an AMD internal GPU and an NVIDIA RTX3070. I am experiencing very strong image distortions (like vertical synchronisation?) when in fullscreen in Premiere. I don`t know if it is a Driver or Hardware Problem or Adobe, but the biggest problem I see in Premiere, that`s why I am posting here. What happens is: - in Fullscreen Premiere image distortion - same video in Davinci: no problem - 4k-Clip in Quicktimeplayer hardly runs - same 4k-Clip in Windows Mediaplay: no problem - In Windows-Settings: I can`t change the rate of the monitor. It`s stuck to 60hz - In Nvidia-Settings all options to change resolution or refresh-rate don`t even appear. Thanks for any ideas. René

Hi, Premiere is not playing my sequence or any clip while NDI-Output is active. (It outputs an image, but doesn't play it) I have this Problem on: - MacOS Sierra + Premiere 2019 - Windows10 + Premiere 2019 - Windows10 + Premiere 2020 Weirdly Premiere 2020 on windows did work with NDI once. Now it doesn't anymore. I updated Premiere to the latest version, but still.... Anyone with this problem? Thanks, rené

Dear Rick, you are totally right of course, a screenshot would have helped. But I think you understood my goal. 🙂 I will definitly look into Dan Ebberts approach! By now I found a solution, which is working, but not satisfying, because it leaves no flexibility of changes. (I attach a screenshot). In that situation my "people" turn twice on the y-axis, and move along the x-axis. The movement is controlled by two null objects as masters, one moving two the left one pixel per frame, the other one to the right one pixel per frame. The slaves move following the "left-null" at their beginning. When they turn (keyframe 1+2) they follow the "right-null" and then again the left (after keyframe 3+4). I calculate the distance which has added up between the null's acording to the time of the keyframes 1 and 3 and add/subtract it to the position. But that only works if the speed of the nulls stay one pixel per frame. Well, a bit complicated, specific and hard-coded, but at least a result. Anyway, I'll keep looking. Do you mean the section "Linear Keyframe Integrator" is what I need? best, r and the code: seedRandom(index, true);
xOrigin = random (-1500, 1500); //random initial Position
t = (time -inPoint)*30; //time of Layer in Frames
tS = time-inPoint; //time of Layers in Seconds
prop = transform.yRotation;
n = prop.numKeys;
tKey1 = (prop.key(1).time-inPoint)*30; //time of 1.Keyframes of rotation
tKey3 = (prop.key(3).time-inPoint)*30; //time of 3.Keyframes of rotation
left = thisComp.layer("left").transform.xPosition.valueAtTime(tS); //Position of null left
right = thisComp.layer("right").transform.xPosition.valueAtTime(tS); //Position of null right
if (t > tKey1 && t < tKey3)
xNew = xOrigin+right-(2*tKey1)
else if (t >= tKey3)
xNew = xOrigin+left+(2*(tKey3-tKey1))
else
xNew = xOrigin+left
