I can confirm that I've tried both the latest stable build AND the 14.2 beta of Sonoma. Neither has made any difference to the problem I'm seeing with the current version of Photoshop. Therefore, the only common denominator is the Adobe component.

Quitting and restarting makes zero difference to this issue. Reinstalling doesn't work either. Nor does deleting settings files and starting from scratch.

UPDATE: This issue is specific to Photoshop. None of the other Adobe apps I use - Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver - are affected.

Hi folks. I'm running a 2020 Intel iMac 27" with i7 and AMD 5500 XT 8GB running Sonoma 14.1.. I use an additionnal 32" display for my main display and use the Mac screen for pallettes and controls in a custom workspace. It's worked flawlessly for years, but since updating to 25.0.0 I've found a severe issue making Photoshop unusable. Clicking anywhere on the Layers, Colours, Brushes and additional panels is completely impossible. The action simply passes straight through to the desktop and clicks outside of the application. Resetting and rearranging the workspace has no effect. Using standard workspaces (attached to the main board) works as it should. I've reinstalled the app without success and deleted the workspace files to address conflicts from the older version. Still without success. Can anyone cast light on a solution??

Hi Anshul, thanks for getting back to me. I can confirm I'm using macOS Big Sur version 11.4 and Illustrator 25.3.1. The fault appears in new and old documents and does not appear to be colour space specific. My settings have GPU Performance activated. Toggling to "Off" solves the problem! Confirmed by it reappearing when GPU Performance is activated again. How bizarre?! To clarify, GPU Performance has always been active. I use gradients most of the time in my work and the fault has only appeared in the last update or two.

Has anyone else experienced a fault with gradients that appears to cause a fractal effect? Here's a couple of screenshots... Now, I've only encountered this parasite when working with outlined type. I can make complex shapes without any fault in the same gradients. Colour space is CMYK as this needs to be for print. Exporting to pixel formats makes everything right. SVG files inherrit the fractal effect. Any thoughts?

Yep, same problem here. Patch hasn't worked. Starting a new file works intermittently, opening an existing file throws it into a crash. Only way out is a Force Quit. Come on Adobe, we're paying a lot of money for these apps NOT to work properly. Very much disgruntled.
