Use HDD only for backups.
Put your media on a fast SSD for Premiere Pro. Ok... put your media on the fast SSD... why exactly? All apps would run from the SSD, that includes Adobe, Microsoft, any other apps install in the computer will be in the SSD drive. I think Adobe uses links of files to work with? yes? So, do I need to keep all the files in the SSD? I was thinking of bringing the files from the HDD drive to the SSD while I work on them, then, transfer it all to the HDD. Currently, I have a 1.8T of stuff in my HDD computer, so not everything will fit in my 1T SSD, but then, the 1T SSD is also made to boot faster, while keeping most of the documents that you work with stored in the less expenssive HDD.

So I am getting a new compugter, the current computer runs very slow specially when I use any of the Adobe Cloud apps. I am thinking of getting a 32gb RAM 1T of solid state and 2T of regular old drive (HDD) for storage. But what is a good graphic card? What is a good processor? I was doing some googling and an article came it depends of your work? light, medium, heavy? <<< what does that even means? Of course I want to get work fast and don't want to be dealing with frozen screens. The programs I use (not everyday, but maybe 3 times a week, or whenever I need them) from Adobe Cloud are: Illustrator Premier pro photoshop Character Animator ^^ Some of them I haven't use in a while, but they all take forever to work with now. The computer I have today was never fast with Adobe, but it was on the acceptable side. Dell XPS 8900 2T HDD drive Procesor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.41 GHz RAM: 16GB Display adapaters: Intel(R) HD Graphics 530, and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 745 I don't work in Adobe all day, but when I get to it, I don't want to be waiting 3 seconds to load a function every time I press a button.

Ok... just last week it was working fine, and I don't know what is different this week, but it is taking way too long. Here is what I have: 1 wav file 23 mins :30 sec long 1 pgn picture spread for the 23 mins video 1 mp3 file background music spread for 23 mins Sequence setting at 1280x 720 pixel size When I send it to media encoder I have: format: H264 Preset: Match Source - adaptive High Birate Ouput file: the place where I want it. Then I hit the the green arrow to start.... and I have 6 hours to encode 20 mins? ^^^^ Why is this happening and how can I fix it to encode faster as it was? BTW... I recently updated premier pro, and my media encoder is up to date as well.

I got it... I needed to create all the expresions under a single parent folder, then create a swap trigger from that parent folder, and asign the trigger numbers to whatever expresion I want to work with at a given time.

How can I exactly create the swap? I see there are options to add to triggers, and add a trigger..... In this case I added triggers to each one, but they don't seem to be working on the "Record" mode... and I do have the triggers activated for, but it only shows the "neutral" layer.

So I downloaded a sample of mouth drawings to use on a puppet test, and it comes with a neutral drawing of a mouth. Now, what if I want to create a trigger to go from the neutral to a smile, or a sad, or whatever mouth I want to show just for a short amounth of time base on a trigger? I created a layer below the set of mouth drawings and added a trigger to the added layer, but it only shows on top of the rest of mouth drawings. How can I do the actual swap to replace the neutral mouth drawings for the added layer when I hit the trigger?

Why not do a "Fluid " behavior for Character animator? You already have the "particle" behavior, and all you got to do is make it fluid. Think about: Pouring a cup of water. Water running through a path. Or.. Water being pumped up and down pipes and through valves to push actuators such as hydraulic cylinders and motors... That is the stuff that I am working right now with Character animator. Maybe industrial hydraulic circuits may sound too intimidating for some, but just the animation of fluid running through pipes may not be too hard to do... you could even get fancier by changing viscosity.. Further more.... after you are done with your fluid animation you'll get the next request to simulate compressed air traveling through pipes to animate the very same principles of hydraulics... Besides my own needs animating water surely could be useful for many people... So please VOTE ON THIS REQUEST PLEASE!!

If I use the direct selection tool it gives me options to change the fill on the path, but it doesn't change colors behind the text... It works if I type inside the path, but not around the path.. 2

So I want to increse the size of a vector graphic in Illustrator, and and when I grab the drawing and make it bigger, then I find out that the dash lines and the stroke are no longer looking the same as they did when the drawing was smaller. To find a solution to this problem I have to re-adjust the size of the stroke line, as well as re-adjust the dash lines. I understand vector graphics don't lose any resolution, but why does the stroke and the dash lines don't stay proportional to the view as they were when the drawing was smaller?

How about adding a mouse pointer draggrer feature? Sure... I could also add a picture of a dragger and move it around I guess... but might not be as cool as a native system dragger that could have lights and a piece of cake with it..

Is there such a thing like the razor cut tool from Premier which you can cut and delete sections of an item in the timeline. I am doing a recording on CH and I only want to cut and delete sections within the recording without having to to do the entire recording again. Interactive video isn't that big deal... it's been around since 90's... I think I have seen people selling software to create interactive videos on Facebook.. The creation of "buttons" on the web isn't hard to do... or creation of "triggers" in CH isn't hard to do either. Imagine creating a web container code with your video and have the buttons available to manipulate it the way you want it, and being able able to make it sharable... Or... a container with your SVG pictures and have buttons to control it the way you want it..... Flash used to be popular even with a messing software where you still needed to code because it was the only way at the time. Today people code a lot of things directly in their websites, and softwares like Animate in which you still need to code, those type os softwares are just not needed anymore... now... imagine taking the code out for some level of interaction... it would save me time on the coding, and I would create my educational video much faster...

In Adobe Character Animator they are called "triggers". You can call for different moves or changes when you activate a trigger, and there is no coding involve. I figured out that in Adobe Animate you better do animation in separate timelines just so your code can call for the movements. Most of the online video refrence that you find from Animate is old and outdated.. I still need to learn how to create a Start, Stop, Left, and Right button to call for th movements of my tiny 2 animations.. I could have done that in Character Animator 10 times over by now, while in Adobe Animate I still gotta figure out how to link a button with the action that needed to be by itself instead of the main time line... Other than the drawing software for those people who draw... the animation part is next to useless because if I am going to code it, then I might as well code it straight up on my website for interactions.. Character Animator on the other hand is a good App for non interactive animations that can be converted into a movie.... and Illustrator is good for drawing. Adobe Animate sounded nice.. but really didnt' offer me any advantage solutions for the little simple things I need.... with a few lines of coding I need I could skip the headeachs of a dying software.

Seriously... All you need is to make your triggers interactive with website users and you'll have a super more power software than Adobe Aninmate, Flash is already dead... and Animate is a real mess to work with.

Finally figured out how to select the object from the scene. It is better to have the moving obeject on their own top later in Illustrator so that you can easily select it in Animate. But now when I select the object to create a tween the entire rest of the drawing disappears from the scene and leave no reference to work on the movements. Character Animator is a much easier app to work with instead of Animate. I want to learn Animate and see how it works with the use of buttons to do interaction.... but really has been a rough start with Animate not taking drawings from my Illustrator library among other incompatible points from Illustrator.. I get the feeling that Adobe might not be pushing for the use of Animate all that much.... even if I still want to learn it..... but on the other hand I might just convert the Illustrator files to SVG, do a little point A to point B movements, and figure out the buttons interaction direct on html... I would suggest to Adobe to keep their Apps some what similar.... the layer set up and timeline work very differently from Character Animator than from Animate... Animate is a pain in the butt on top of having to figure out the glitches of incompatibility that they don't tell you about..

I think.... I will transfer the Illustrator file without the dashed lines... then I will finish drawing the dashed lines in Animate. Since dashed lines are not too many, then is not a big deal to draw them on top of my drawing.... but if I was going to use so many then it would be complicated.... I am also NOT animating the dashed line. My animations movements are very, very little stuff in the drawing.

Update.... Apparently the problem comes from using items from my library... If I don't inlcude any drawings from my Illustrator library, then the Illustrator file transfer correctly.... besides some restrictions such as dashed lines which I am trying to figure out how to work with..
