It sounds like you are opening the full version of Acrobat rather than the free Acrobat Reader.

So you want to convert a pdf with live text to an image? If so, sorry, but you cannot do that with the free Acrobat Reader. You could with the full version of Acrobat.

Actually, Chrome is the problem. That is why you need to download the pdf and use Reader directly. Chrome and many/most browsers use their own pdf viewers and most of the time that's fine but they do not work well for filling out forms and normally the syptoms you are seeing are what happens when you use the browser pdf viewer. So, download like I instructed and fill it out using Reader (the version you have is fine) and send it back to them.

Generally when this happens (not all the time of course) it's because you are using something other than Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader to fill out the form. Make sure you download the file to your computer, open Reader then use file>open to open the pdf. Save when finished. Close the file and open it again to be sure everything is there. Then send it to them.

That's because this is an old thread. They have completely rebuilt the forums since this was posted.
You can find the Acrobat forum HERE.

This is the form for the free Reader. That link is about the full version of Acrobat Pro. They are not considering something like this for the free Reader. For starters, Reader doesn't create pdf's...

It sounds like your system isn't associating Reader with your PDF files. Right-click a PDF file, choose "Open with>Choose another app", Choose Acrobat Reader and select the box that says "Always use this app to open .pdf files".

Probably not without an expensive digital rights management system. Even the preventions you've added to keep staff from copying, editing...etc. are just a plastic padlock on your shed. Somewhat easy to get around.

Try using the cleaner tool found here: https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html. Once done, try to install again.

Did you mean "lines" or did you mean "characters"? If you meant lines, try renaming it to something much shorter before deleting it.

If you DO have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, try downloading the file first (most of the time, right-clicking the link to the file and choosing to save it will work for that). Once the file is downloaded, you should be able to open it using Reader. Some web browsers have their own pdf viewers and try to use them to open the pdf inside the browser. Some browser pdf viewers can't open certain types of pdf files so, you get the message you got.

If you go here, https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ you can download Reader and choose the language you need. You'll probably want to remove your current English version before trying to install.

To delete it, you have to find it. Unfortunately, this isn't a Reader issue. The instructions you included look fine to me. You need to open Windows Explorer (not to be confused with Internet Exploror, the web browser). If it doesn't find the pdf you're looking for, maybe it isn't on your computer? Why would you think it is on your computer? Knowing that might help us get you some help.

It sounds like you need to look for a setting in ManageEngine that chooses to embed font information into the pdf file. If you go to file>Properties>Fonts, what does it say next to the arabic character? If it doesn't say "Embedded" or "Embedded subset", that is more than likely the issue.

Chances are your recent files are still right where you left them but you cleared the "Recent" files list. You just need to search for them and open them again then they will be back on that list.

Other pdf viewers tend to not care about pdf's sticking to certain specifications like Adobe does. Many of them also do a better job at substituting fonts.

It appears that the font information is not embedded in the pdf file and you don not have the exact font on your system. Reader is trying to substitute with a different font but that isn't working. Not much to do about that accept to contact the creator of the pdf and ask them to embed the fonts.

In a way, that message is correct and in a way it isn't. You may have a high enough version of Reader on your computer but the browser just isn't using it. It is probably using it's own pdf viewer which as you can see, doesn't work for many pdf files (especially forms). To get around this, right-click the link to the pdf file, choose to save it to your computer. Open Reader then use File>Open to open the pdf file.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. So if they say "printing not allowed". that means that the creator of the file has added security that prevents printing. If the files from a few weeks ago that DO print come from the same entity, you may want to contact them to ask why they changed it. At any rate, this is not something you can change with Reader and no password. Sorry.
