Ah excellent. Thanks Rob, that fixed it! @Adobe, if this function forces cmyk colours please disable the checkbox when outputting RGB or add a warning. I would not have guessed that this would be the culprit, as I would assume that the overprint would work the same way as multilply blending and turning it off would potentially mess with the intended blending in RGB too.

For as many versions as i can remember, RGB indesign export to JPEG makes an error and does some internal cmyk conversion when it shouldn't. This means a web intent indesign document will export a RGB pdf with the correct colour no problem, but export to RGB jpeg will destroy the colour. (see attached) Yes. RGB transparency blending is enabled. Europe general purpose colour settings, with RGB embed profile. It's RGBs-to-RGB, so no gamma or out of gamut problems are relevant here. Why is this still not working - am I the only one who uses this feature?

Well, you just need to tick the box. LOL Now I can sleep. xxxx Lizzi" This is not the issue. Ticking that box means that the transform handles are there all the time - including when you are NOT using Transform. This issue concerns a problem where CMYK documents don't display the controls properly. Which is a bug. And which STILL has not been fixed by Adobe.

I think Affinity can open (and even save) psd's fine. So maybe not hostage quite yet! This update is the first to really make me re-think my dependency on Ps. I'll be looking closely at Affinity's development.

Version 20.0.2 is out. Still no addition of a 'use legacy transform' option. And no comments from Adobe why they've introduced an inconsistent workflow in a single application. Absolutely ridiculous!

Because I shouldn't have to make a kludge solution like this to use software that I use professionally and pay handsomely for. Your letting them off the hook for not thinking something through properly (add a radio button to use legacy keyboard commands for example).

Agree that this whole situation is ridiculous. Adobe need to add a toggle switch to revert to 'normal' behaviour urgently. Muscle memory cannot be retrained selectively. Shift to constrain is a VERY common convention

Hi C pfaffenbichler. Troubleshooting is little use as it's happened on at least 3 of my personal computers - plus 2 studio machines (I freelance). So it's not system specific (but possibly mac specific). None of the machines have plugins etc interfering with them. It's a particularly big PITA because it often corrupts not only the file you're working on but also the other files that you have open. I'll file a bug report again 😞

Over the last two weeks I've had two files become irreparably corrupted* by using blur commands. This is a fault which has been happening regularly for years - i first encountered it about 6 years ago. Is there still no fix! *Large blocks have been punched out of all layers/channels. Quitting before saving makes no difference. Files aren't that big 4000px and there aren't that many layers (about 20). No smart objects in the 2nd. Firstly on a MacMini, then secondly on a brand new iMac. Latest version of CC on both.

Occasionally I'm forced to work on my Macbook, which is a nightmare, as the glossy screen reflects like a mirror. A billion pixel display won't change this . If you're a serious photographer use something else.

No I'm not. The corruption was identical to types displayed on this thread and files I've seen before. And it is not just being caused by Gaussuian Blur. This page of the thread alone has two cases of corruption from other causes (posts 162 & 156). I'm sorry I can't give more info but I was working on a freelance mac at the time.

I can report that I've seen it with CS6 too (corruption knocking blocky 'holes' through mutiple layers). On a late 2011 macbook pro. Was NOT using Gaussian Blur at the time.
