No, what I mean is to make a specific tooltab temporarily floating, just like in Illustrator. That way you can position for instance the pen tools close to your mousepointer and quickly swap tools just like in Illustrator. Closing the tooltab would send it back to the dock again, also just like in Illustrator.

Is it possible to make the tools on the left side of the Photoshop screen so that you can pull them out of the dock like in Illustrator. Just add the little arrow on the end of the tool-tab. It would we great for tools that you use in combination, like the different Pen tools, or the different masking technique tools.

Many of our images need to be exported to transparant PNG's for the websites of our customers. Please Adobe, is it possible to add PNG to the Image Processor in addition to the current JPG, PSD and TIFF options. It would make my day (maybe my year 🙂 ). To be clear, I'm talking about the Image Processor accessible from Bridge > Tools > Photoshop > Image processor.

Yes, it works now! Thanks! Sadly the updated introduced a new bug. Whatever the filetype associations in the preferences of Bridge, doubleclick always opens tries to open the file with After Effects.

Is Adobe aware of this? It's really annoying and allready more than 1 month. We work in a team with 10 people of wich 2 photographers, 2 film makers and designers and it's really annoying not to be able to work with pictures on a server the way it should work. Did Adobe mention an update roadmap anywhere?

@Enzoconti, thanks for the reply. @Cre8thenew, I'm not working on a network, but on an (external) eSata disk. What's even more strange is that my late 2008 Macbook Pro (4gb ram, 2.54Ghz DuoCore) is running ID CS5 more smoothly. Still slower that CS3, but better than CS5 on the Mac Pro!! I really think it's an issue with the ATI gfx card in the Mac Pro. Sometimes when scrolling on de Mac Pro the whole document turns white. Scrolling again get's the screen redraw.

I'm having the same problem. My Indesign version is 7.0.3. I'm working on a Mac Pro (2.8 Ghz Quad-Core Xeon) with 12gb memory. I've switched of Live Screen Drawing. But still ID CS5 is very slow, especially when moving object. When I move an object it takes about a second to redraw the object. ID CS3 is a much faster experience. Especially with Overprint Preview on. Any tips wil be highly appreciated!
