Adobe XD

Hi! Imagine situation like this. Let's say I designed fairly complex home page and then wanted to add different types of animations to it. For example:— modal window slide down on button click— parallax effect (sections sliding in) on page scroll— decorative elements moving randomely (and infinitely) on page load So I create several artboards from the original one and on each one implement one of these animations. But then I notice that some changes are needed in the original design and I make them. So... do I now need to make those same changes on the other artboards? Is there maybe a faster way to do this? For example, when I created dark theme version of the page, I turned the whole original page into a component, made a copy and then just changed the colors on the copy. Any change made to the original would propagate to the "dark themed" copy and that's great. Does Adobe XD have a "built-in" FTP client (similar to Dreamweaver, or even Muse)? Alternatively, is there an FTP-like XD plug-in? Or, maybe, a way to upload an XD file to some CC cloud space, that can then easily & securely upload the XD-generated HTML/CSS to a SAVED, pascode-protected web host server? ... Or perhaps something like how users could export Fireworks files as "Fireworks library" items, drop the Fireforks library items into Deamweaver, and then  use Deamweaver's built-in FTP client to get the code onto a web host server? THANKS, Adobe/XD community--another amazing Adobe program, huh?!

When I work on older cloud document and I want to change fonts by clicking character styles it doesn't work. Fonts are not changing.With new document it works just fine, but not with the older one.

The flow view isn't always working. It shows on some links but doesn't show on others. Such behavior is super sporadic with no logic as to why that's the case. There's no way I'd know what to expect — whether the flow view would be working for the next file/project I create. It's always a bet 😞

Hi - new to XD so need a little help!I have 5 x  icons on an artboard in seperate blocks and need for them all to scale together, but as they are all different, I have made them all seperate components. I realsise this is wrong because if I scale one component none of the others change. Is there a way of linking the components together! There's an example attached. Hello, I am owner of many XD documents.We work together on share documents with many collegues with coediting function. But a lot of a colleague needs the right for share new flows and new screens to business. Nobody has the right. I have iPhone iOS 14, latest app, and latest XD on laptop. Using either wifi or USB, changes made to my desktop master simply do not update on the phone app. It's there when I open the app, and I can swipe between screens, but if I change anythong on the desktop app, nothing happens on the phone. I have to quit the app and restart it each time I make a change. Coming from Sketch, this is REALLY frustrating. Any ideas?

Hey guys,So after banging my head agaisnt the desk for 10 minutes, I realized that if I flip an object (tried with FontAwesome and normal text) and export the specs, that object will not be visible in the live specs. I tried with vertical flip, but horizontal flip might also have the same issue.Thanks,Chris

Hi! The left images shows what it looks like in XD on my mac (both on artboard and in preview-mode). The right images shows how it looks in preview-mode on my iphone in the XD-app.      To my question - Why is it apper diffrent from my computer to the XD-app on my iphone? - For exampel the little green lable is missplaced? This have never happend before... 

My images are always stuck in the clipping mask because I haven't found a way to undo the clipping mask. I just want my image back, without reuploading it. Did I miss something or is it just not possible?

I am trying to animate between 3 art boards. Each art board has 4 text objects on them.   When I connected the first 2 artboards, the auto animation worked fine, the text bojects moved as expected.   When I connect the 3rd artboard, the 2nd & 3rd animates correctly but the first to the 2nd suddenly stop working, it just transitions instead even though the connection is set to animate and even though it worked perfectly correct beforehand.   This has happened to me twice now, its very irratating because to fix it, it appears I have to delete the artboard and start again.   If anyone has had a similar issue please let know and also, if you were able to figure out why it does that.   <The Title was renamed by moderator>

Our company is considering swtiching over to XD from Sketch and I'm experimenting with transferring Colors, Fonts and Assets to XD. I've opened a library file from Sketch in XD and the Fonts, components and symbols have all come through, but have been grouped under "Components." Is there a way for them to be separated between Components and Character Styles? Also, How can you transfer color palettes? I couldn't find a reference to this information anywhere, so if you can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. I've attached a screen shot below displaying the components panel in XD which contains fonts and a sampling of components. 

Dear adobe comunity, since the update i am unable to open any file, without the application crashing or taking ages to load. Ulitmately it blocks the computer interely. 

Since two updates ago my Adobe Xd crashes upon window resizing, using prototypes and clicking on layers. I've tried reinstalling, but still the same problem. Anybody got a fix?

In last version I could name character like h1, h2.. now that's not posible? Why? 😄 Thanks.

Hello, I am using an enterprise account for Adobe XD and I am not permitted to export/share prototypes on Creative Cloud. When I click the "export prototype" (blue button) to export offline, the index.html generated only shows a blank white page. Are there additional steps for properly packaging files for offline/ not hosted on CC export? OS- Windows Browsers Tried - Crome, Firefox, ieXD version- (27.1.12) 

The latest October release introduced a bug I have confirmed with 2 other users on my team.Exporting objects using Web Designed @1x exporting both pixel densities exports the wrong dimensions.Our objects are designed at 258x200px and XD is exporting them at 318x224px. This bug is preventing us from production and the Photoshop workaround would be massive to get accurate images considering we have dozens of artboards of layouts. 

Since yesterday (upgrade to version 34.0.12), many of us have suffered repeated crashes, system slowdowns (Windows 10) and application instability which greatly disrupts our production. It's quite regrettable and I really hope that a corrective version will be proposed soon.

I'm on XD v34.0.12.I started noticing yesterday that the preview window no longer closes when using the mac shortcut for "close" (cmd-W). When I cmd-W other XD document windows, they close. Seems like a small problem, but I'm constantly testing prototypes as I build them, and present work frequently which involves popping into and out of preview mode countless times. Restoring this shortcut would make a big impact to my day-to-day.

Hi, is anyone else finding existing XD files crash on windows 10. Ive been running into this issue since the latest update. These existing files work fine on Mac. Running version 34.1.12.

Hello, My XD is updated to the final version and I double checked. Each time I try to paste a text inside the box on Adobe XD, it crashes and quit unexpectedly. I tried it many times and many times its happening. I know XD doesn't support other than Latin text, but even when pasting a text that I copied from another program? Also when having an Arabic text box on XD, the text is not showing. I need to click on another tool or outside the text box in order to see the full text. It is annoying when you can't see what you are typing. Please help or fix this issue.  Font: Cairo (google web friendly) Issue happens when pasting from Photoshop and from Illustrator and from Microsoft Word !!
