Hello, I'm trying to use the CameraRoll to access photos on a Galaxy S5 Android device. I'm using the latest version of AIR from the labs. When I browse for a photo, everything seems to be working correctly, it gives me the options of where to chose from then shows the photos. But anytime I choose a photo, the "ErrorEvent.ERROR" is dispatched and I see the message."ERROR #2124: Loaded file is an unknown type."Has anyone else ever had this problem before? Pretty straight forward code but just doesn't work for me. if(CameraRoll.supportsBrowseForImage){ var camera:CameraRoll = new CameraRoll(); camera.addEventListener(MediaEvent.SELECT, _onSelect); camera.addEventListener(Event.CANCEL, _onCancel); camera.addEventListener(ErrorEvent.ERROR, _onError); camera.browseForImage(); } private function _onSelect($event:MediaEvent):void{ trace("selected"); } private function _onCancel($event:Event):void{ trace("cancelled"); } private function _onError($event:E
From all the googling I have done this appears to be an common question but it is really unbelievable that Adobe Air doesn't have a good way to handle Adobe PDFs. I know about loading pdfs into a web view. but I need a way to fill out pdf forms and to add annotation to pdf files. Is there any source out there for an actionscript based pdf viewer that can work with a pdf like this? I don't want to rasterize the pdf or have any server backend requirements. I just need a library that can load an unaltered local pdf file with form capabilities (cross platform). I would certainly be willing to pay a lot for such a library.
Everything worked fine in AIR 15 .. As soon as I switch to 16 .. If I open the camera image picker for iOS .. even if I just choose "Cancel". The app freezes and is not responding anymore.Has anyone seen this or know of a fix ?Here is what I am doing // ================================================================================= // initCamera // ================================================================================= function initCamera(evt:Event):void{ endTouchX = mouseX; endTouchY = mouseY; if (startTouchX - endTouchX < 25 && startTouchX - endTouchX >-25 && startTouchY - endTouchY < 25 && startTouchY - endTouchY >-25) { takePhotoBTN.alpha = 1; trace("Starting Camera");
I compile app with adt.

In this article you can set the stage quality to 16X16LINEAR. I'm not able to do this in my AIR app:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><s:WindowedApplication xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx" width="600" height="625" preinitialize="preinitializeHandler(event)" > <fx:Script> <![CDATA[ import mx.core.FlexGlobals; import mx.events.FlexEvent; import mx.managers.SystemManager; protected function preinitializeHandler(event:FlexEvent):void { systemManager.topLevelSystemManager.stage.quality = StageQuality.HIGH_16X16_LINEAR; trace("quality=" + systemManager.topLevelSystemManager.stage.quality); // HIGH } ]]> </fx:Script></s:WindowedApplication>Flash Player 11.2 graphical gem | kaourantin.net

My Aplication can't see the obb file after install - it can find it only after device system reloadbut I can see it on such directorys by any file manager:storage/sdcard0/Android/obb/storage/emulated/legacy/Android/obb/storage/emulated/0/Android/obb/I use this path to find obb:var path : String = "Android/obb/air.AppName";var filename : String = "main.1000000.air.AppName.obb";var file : File = File.desktopDirectory.resolvePath(path + "/" + filename);so why aplication can't find it ?
I was using Flex 4.6 with AIR 3.1 in Flash Builder 4.6 on Windows 7. I used two build methods: 1) "Export Release Build" in Flash Builder during development and 2) the ADT toolchain on my build server. For the ADT method I would create AIR intermediate files using:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\FlashBuilderC.exe" --launcher.suppressErrors -noSplash -application org.eclipse.ant.core.antRunner -data [PATH_TO_SOURCE] -file [PATH_TO_BUILD_XML] [PROJECT_NAME]Where my build.xml looks like:<?xml version="1.0"?> <project default="main"> <target name="main"> <fb.exportReleaseBuild project="[PROJECT_NAME]" basefilename="[BASE_FILE_NAME]" verbose="true" destdir="bin-release" /> </target> </project>From these intermediate AIR files I would create my APK and IPA files using ADT like so (shown for iOS):echo [CERTIFICATE_PASSWORD]|"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Ado
BlackBerry is about to drop their built-in support of Air on BB10 operating system V10.3.1 and I am told it is due to the cost around licensing issues. Developers are being told to package their Apps as APKs with captive runtime and I would have no issue with that if it actually worked properly!APKs with captive runtime do not behave correctly, there are some weird bugs:Keyboard support does not work properly - I have a game that when packaged as an APK none of the keyboard buttons do anything on any BlackBerry with a keyboard. I noticed if I paired a BT keyboard, the arrow buttons work but nothing else...Whats the deal with keyboard buttons not working with Air captive runtime, yet it works with the Air runtime built into the OS??I'm aware the drop in built-in OS runtime support is pretty much a done deal, but can you at least fix bugs like that keyboard bug in your AIR runtime and prioritize this? There are loads of apps that are about to die in about a month or so due to issues like
Does adobe AIR 13 support Windows mobile app?
I updated air sdk from 4.0 to 16.0 beta to fix apple app store submitting bug. I can build the project and run it on simulator without any problem. But when I tried to export the ios release build, I got this error message: complilation failed while excuting : compile-abc. I use commmand line to excute compile-abc.exe with the parameters that adt gives it, but it failed without any error message. Here is the command line: compile-abc.exe -mtriple=armv7-apple-ios -filetype=obj -sdk "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\sdks\4.5.1 - air16\lib\aot/lib/avmglue.abc" -fields "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\sdks\4.5.1 - air16\lib\aot/lib/air-fields.arm-air.txt" -O3 -abc-file-list=E:\MyApp\bin-debug\AOTBuildOutput8184169967790207636.tmp\ABCFilesList.txtThere's a empty file AOTBuildOutput-0000001821_1821.o left in the command line workaroud path. I opened file AOTBuildOutput-0000001821.abc, but didn't get any clue. How can I trace this problem?
What are your top 3 favorite AIR Native Extensions?OS is irrelevant.
With some dismay I just tested AIR 16 beta to find that the CamerRoll problems have not been addressed in any way.It still can't load Picassa images on older versions of Android and is comprehensively broken on Android 5.As it is I'm about to release a product which will have to have a big warning on the front page regarding the broken nature of the gallery to my Android customers. It's embarrassing. When is this likely to be addressed?
Has anyone else noticed that the GesTouch library is broken in AIR 16?Touch seems to be completely unresponsive. Works fine in AIR 15.I need to update my app for the 64 Bit support and Gestouch is broken
Hello,I am trying to build a relatively complex Flex project with latest AIR (build 259) for iOS, using Flash Builder 4.7 on Windows 8.1.Reported error is simply:Compilation failed while executing : compile-abcIf I suspend the process and execute it from the command line, the result errorlevel is -1073741819, but still no explanation of why something went wrong. Can someone help me to debug this further? Can the error be recorded on a log file? Thanks in advanceRaffaele
I have a version of my Android app running properly in x86 now, but I'd rather that didn't replace the default APK. Does anybody have any experience or advice about hosting multiple APKs on Google Play? Their official guidance seems overcomplicated to me:Multiple APK Support | Android DevelopersI don't want to mess with my default listing until I have a clearer idea of what I should be uploading...
Hi,Just wondering, not that BLE is becoming more widespread on iOS and Android. Are we going to see any support in air for native access to the tech?Would be a very nice subset, for creating interesting apps.I have used the bluetooth apk for Android, but that is legacy Bluetooth.Ta.
Hi,I'm mulling over what technologies to use for an upcoming project that needs to use both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Smart (LE) among other things. I want it to be available on various devices including mobile and desktop so Adobe AIR looked like an interesting way of reusing code.Ideally I'd like to reach:Apple mobile devicesAndroid mobile devicesWindows mobile devicesWindows desktopMac desktopBrowsing these forums I'm not seeing a great deal about using Bluetooth with mobile devices. I did find this native extension to use Bluetooth Classic on iOS: https://github.com/jamieowen/AirNativeiOS-Bluetooth. I can't see much about Bluetooth LE either. So my questions are: Is it feasible to use Adobe AIR for this purpose? Has anyone done it? How much could be done with AIR libraries and how much would need to be native extenstions? Thanks for reading.
I created an application using Flash Professional cc (destination: air 14 for iOS), export .ipa file correctly, but when I try to load it with Application Loader found one error and a warning: 1) ERROR ITMS-9000: "Invalid Segment Alignment . The app binary at 'Caseificio Nonno Benito.app/ Caseificio Nonno Benito' does not have proper alignment segment. Try rebuilding the app with the latest Xcode version. "2) ITMS-9000 Warning: Missing 64-bit support. Starting february ....How can I fix these problems, please and very urgent, Thanks
Hi,I currently develop an ANE to use Bluetooth Low Energy on iOS, Android, Windows and Mac OS X.I can successfully use this ANE on iOS, Android and Windows, but when i try to compile final app on OS X, i get some application crash. It seems that we can use only 10.6 SDK (or something like that). Is there a way to use OS X 10.7 (or better 10.10 SDK) when compiling ANE and final Application ?Maybe i'm doing something wrong...Please any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.
I want to know if I've understood this right, and what the implications are.I've come to understand that certain Android devices, specifically those with x86 processors (such as Samsung Tab 3) cannot run apps built with AIR, or at least will run them extremely slowly to the point of being useless.First of all, is this true?Secondly, what are the implications? If a segment of users in Google Play cannot properly run the apps we build for Android, this is almost an argument for not building Android apps at all, since those users will give extremely poor reviews - and in any case, we will end up with a percentage of Android users being extremely dissatisfied with the app and complaining. Can anyone tell me if I understand the situation correctly, and what is the current assessment of the seriousness of the problem?
With AIR 16.0.0.245 app running on Android devices, I'm having a problem getting meaningful touchPointID values for single taps. The value is always reported as 0. This makes it impossible for me to track if a given TouchEvent is actually the same TouchEvent occurring in a different phase. When I run the same code on iOS, subsequent touches increase their ID with each tap, which is as expected. I am getting the exact same positive results on both platforms from Multitouch.supportedGestures, Multitouch.supportsGestureEvents, and Multitouch.supportsTouchEvents. Multitouch.inputMode also reports touchPoint. This is crippling my project right now.
