Admins: Control access to Firefly AI Assistants in your organization
Applies to: Enterprise (CCE 4 / 5) admins
TL;DR
- Admins can enable or disable supported AI assistants with the organization-wide “Access Firefly-powered AI assistants" setting in the Adobe apps section of the Admin Console.
- Turning it off blocks the assistants without disabling the rest of the product.
- It does not disable standalone generative AI features. Use model controls for those.
- Existing third-party model restrictions still apply when assistants are enabled.
Firefly AI Assistant: FAQ
-
Q: Can administrators enable or disable AI assistants?
Yes. Use the organization-wide Access Firefly-powered AI assistants in the Adobe apps setting in Admin Console. Turning the setting off blocks those assistants without disabling the rest of the product.
-
Q: What content can AI assistants access?
It depends on the product and workflow. Some experiences are limited to content in the current product context, while others may use project assets or cloud-hosted content associated with the user's workflow. Available content sources vary by application.
-
Q: Does disabling AI assistants also disable Firefly or other generative AI features?
No. The control applies to supported assistants, not standalone generative AI features. Use model controls for third-party partner models and Firefly models to manage other generative features.
-
Q: Do existing model restrictions still apply when AI assistants are enabled?
Yes. Existing third-party model restrictions continue to apply to generation across supported AI assistant experiences. Assistant access control is separate: it lets you disable the AI assistants, rather than only restrict the models used for generation.
