Now available: GenAI activity visibility in Content Logs

TL;DR

Content Logs now capture the prompt and model name and version behind Firefly generative actions. Enterprise admins get audit-ready visibility into how AI-generated content was created, across Firefly Web, Adobe Express, and Firefly Workspace within Photoshop.

Who this is for

  • Any enterprise organization already using Content Logs
  • Applies to generative actions performed in Firefly Web, Adobe Express, and Firefly Workspace within Photoshop
  • Covers outputs saved to Adobe Cloud storage only

Why this matters

As GenAI adoption scales across organizations, "an action happened" is no longer enough. Admins need to understand how AI-generated content was created, not just that it was created. This update closes that gap. With prompt and model metadata now flowing into Content Logs, admins get a stronger audit trail to support governance, compliance, and internal review workflows, without needing a separate tool or manual tracking.

How it works

  • Prompt: captures up to 2,000 characters of the prompt tied to the generation request
  • Model Name: shows the human-readable model name and version used
  • Adobe models (1P) show the Adobe model name, such as Firefly Video
  • Partner models (3P) show the partner-provided model name, such as Veo 3.1 or Sora 2
  • Customer models show the model name your organization configured
  • Item Name: identifies the generated asset, with the file extension indicating output type (image, audio, or video)
  • Supported generative actions logged as Created events: Text to Image, Generative Fill, Generative Expand, Text to Video, Image to Video, Text to Avatar
  • Input references and generated outputs are both captured as Read events, useful as a proxy for tracking access

Get started

  • Download logs on demand:
    • Admin Console > Settings > Content Logs > Create Report (covers the past 90 days)
  • Stream in real time:
    • Connect via Adobe I/O Events for ingestion into SIEM or analytics platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or Sumo Logic
