This update has broken my premier pro, I can’t do anything without the app freezing. I can’t even reset my media cache please release a stability fix my income relies on this working.

Then for Heaven’s sake go back to the previous release patch ... If 26.2 (or whichever) isn’t working but 26.1 is, then roll back to 26.1.

And deleting the media cache is done before opening the app ... hold down Shift while launching, and from the pop-up dialog select the option to delete all cache files.

Since the update my Adobe Premiere Pro crashes when I drop a video transition over an edit.

What about the freezes? On my laptop, Premiere freezes often—it seems to be loading for 1–3 minutes, doesn't respond, and then comes back to life… This has been happening to me with the last two updates

They’ve acknowledged they’re battling this. So move back a build or forward when they come out with another patch.

Great to see exciting new features and updates being pushed while basic professional workflow stability is apparently optional now.

Meanwhile I’ve spent days on CRM:04993000004891 explaining the same issue repeatedly to support:

    • verified server speeds (1 GB/s)

    • verified high-end hardware

    • multiple remote sessions

    • issue reproduced multiple times

    And the result?

    No solution.
    No callback.
    No meaningful response.
    No accountability.

At one point I was literally asked: “You tell us what we can do.”

Interesting support model customers diagnose the software while Adobe advertises new features on top of unresolved core functionality.

Also got offered subscription credit extensions instead of an actual fix, as if missed deadlines and production losses are somehow solved with extra billing time.

Professional editors are not beta testers for instability.

Would genuinely love to know when resolving critical performance failures became less important than shipping marketing updates.

The software is 22 years old and instead of fixing the core functionality that professional editors actually need, Adobe is adding frills to a broken foundation.

The graph editor remains a joke - tiny cramped interface that's impossible to work with professionally. When will we get something decent like Flow for After Effects or even just the basic After Effects graph editor?

How painful it is to copy/paste easing values between keyframes when everything else in the industry works seamlessly except Premiere Pro.

The fact that Resolve came along and took market leadership while Premiere Pro keeps adding new features and AI integrations but neglecting fundamental workflows speaks volumes about priorities.

For media re/linking has any thought been given to lost preview files.

These are media of course but not within the Media list .

The mechanisms in which Premiere keeps track of them is still unknown…. Its internal to the software engine.

Any change in the timeline affecting a Preview file will of course require re- render. However what about cases where no changes are made and internally Premiere still forgets where they are .
Do we foresee a way to re-link those in future releases ?
    Any comments @Kevin J. Monahan Jr. ?

Just tested the "New Sequence Index panel" feature, and time remapping cannot be correctly recognized! Hope it can be added!

Deleting the cache file manually seemed to help the render problem

It doesn’t seem to be updating, keeps saying update failed, never had this problem before

    Hi Anne,

Thanks for the post. Any warnings? For me, the only failure has been not enough storage to update. Do you have enough drive space? Let me know.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
