Finished recording a 30 minute voice over, to realize every few minutes the audio skips. It just cuts out randomly and skips over a word, baked into the recording so no way to bring it back, I have to re-record.I'm on a Macbook M1 pro, 16gb RAM, with Evo4. Audio 23.2.0.68. Buffer size set at 512.This has never happened to me on Logic or Garageband, and from the looks of it, I should go back to those stable programs. But before I do that, what the hell is going on?I've seen some discussions about it, freaked out to see how common it is, and even more freaked out that no solution was really given. Sample rate is 44k for both Evo4 and Audition. M1 Pro shouldn't have any issues. This doesnt make any sense. Is there an actual solution to this besides shutting down background software and making sure sample rate is synced? Or should I just go back to Logic? Thanks!
Beginner using Audition. I can open an audio file and I would like to import 11 different MP3 files into it, rearrange them, etc. However, when I click on Import and select one of my MP3 files, it imports it to a new file on Audition, not the audio file I was trying to add stuff to. In short, I don't know how to create a file with multiple MP3 files in it.
I am not sure what is happening or how to describe it. This started happening halfway through the episode. Both my audio and his were fine. All of a sudden his started to drag and sound strange. The wave lines are also a reflection. I checked the speed there isn't anything different with it. My audio was fine throughout. I am using Audition 23IMac OS Ventura 13.1
When recording in Audition 2023, there is a stutter/lag/delay. I thought it was a mic issue, as this happened yesterday while I was using my Yeti X usb mic. I swapped it out with another Blue Yeti usb mic, and the problem resolved. But today, it's happening w the second mic. I hit record, Audition captures less than 0.5 second of room noise, then it stops picking up any noise at all, and the record clock starts to stutter. Rather than running smoothly, the clock will pause on a time, then jump ahead. 0:00:491 - 0:00:497 - 0:00:591 - 0:00:631 - 0:00:664 and so on... It's not regular intervals, seems random. When I play back, it seems to have captured only the first quarter to half second only. It doesn't matter if I'm in a new file, in a previously saved file, using punch and roll or straight recording, multitrack or mono. It's capturing *some* of the room noise, so doesn't seem to be the mic. I've checked the settings and I have the correct hardware in and out selected. I ju
This is a longstanding annoyance/frustration going back years so I figured I might as well post about it. In the list of open files in Audition, if you double-click blank space, it brings up the Open dialog so you can open a file. This makes sense. However, if you double-click the tiny one pixel of space in between two open files in the list, it also brings up the Open dialog. This drives me nuts. Sometimes I'll have dozens of files open and need to check through them one-by-one, so I double-click each subsequent file in the list as I go, but if I'm off by one pixel and happen to hit that tiny space between rows, it brings up the Open dialog and interrupts me. I understand double-clicking the blank space at the bottom to open a file. That makes sense and I even use it myself sometimes. But I'm pretty sure no one ever intentionally goes hunting for that little tiny one pixel gap between two files to try and double-click it to bring up the Open dialog. It's easier to hit by acc
I've been dealing with this issue for a while now and have yet to find a fix. I'm using a MacBook (mid 2015, 16 gb memory, ntel Iris Pro 1536 MBI) to run Audition, an mxl990 mic to record, and a scarlet solo 2nd gen as the audio interface. Every time I make a multi-track session and arm any track to record the program will crash if I hit either the record button or spacebar. I've set inputs and outputs to the scarlet, I've looked at my multitrack settings, and I've made sure the sample rates are the same everywhere. The program just disappears and I'm stuck looking at my desktop screen. On a few occasions (like 2-3 times) I can start recording but the moment I stop it the program crashes. I've used a USB mic to record into Audition with no trouble so I'm not sure if the problem lies in the program or my audio interface, but I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere. Audition is the main reason I'm subscribed and it's become increasingly frustrating that I can't
Hi, hope you can help me. I have Windows 10 and Adobe Audition 1.5. I have recently bought a Blue Yeti USB microphone in order to use Adobe Audition to record podcasts, where I have a guest via Zoom/Skype. I have tried it out and think there is something not quite right with my Windows/Audition settings. My headphones are plugged into my USB Yeti mic and I can hear my guest on Zoom in my headphones. However when I try to record the conversation in Audition it’s only recording me. In Windows, under Sound, Playback and Recording, Yet1 is selected. Please see attachment: settings screenshots.pdf What do the settings need to be for Audition to record me and someone via Zoom/Skype? Thank youPatrick
Is there a way to assign a keyboard shortcut that would create a Fade-in like the one in the video? Maybe some plugin or script that would help? Video:https://www.berrycast.com/conversations/31435d55-6790-5e16-87b2-7155f1983f4f I have a lot of this in conversation. Usually it is two words combined, e.g. "ummmmmright". Without adding the Fade-In as in the video you can hear a "tick" - and if I add it you can hear fine. Just how to speed up such a process? Thanks for your help!
I have a sinking feeling it will not
Hi everyone,I'm using Adobe Audition to edit my voice recordings.I recorded a script for a meditative purpose on one single file.I now need to cut this file into many small files (1 line per file). Therefore i'm using the multitrack tool to edit my large file and cut it into many different tracks to export each one separately at the end. However, my problem now is that each exported file (each tracks) have the same duration. Even if in Audition, one line is lasting 1 sec, and the longest is lasting around 23 secondes. Each exported files will last 23 sec in the end and i'd love to have each file lasting his own duration. For example Track 1 is lasting 2 secondes in Audition, Track 2 is lasting 5 secondes and Track 3 23 secondes, i need to have Track 1 lasting 2 secondes when exported, Track 2 lasting 5 seconds when exported and Track 3 23 seconds when exported. Is there any option or setting i'm missing? Could you please help me on that matter? Thanks!PS: I Tried to be as clear as possible
Hello,Why I can't choose silence?
Hi, I am making a composition in After Effects, part if it is a mpg that I have set a couple of in and out points and placed onto my timeline, and have used a different part of the mpg later on in the composition. I am happy with the flow of it, and now I need to fix the sound. I can click on the mpg in After Effects and go to Edit > Edit in Adobe Audition and I get the whole sound along with the video on the bottom left corner. I can now run my various filters to make it sound bearable, but I don't know how I can then get this back into After Effects. If I go to save it tells me "Audio edits within a video file cannot be saved directly back into the original file" and then I have to save it as a seperate WAV. However if I import this now into After Effects it doesn't "link" to the original video and carry through my in out points meaning I would have to cut this up as well and hope I can drag it to the correct point to sync it to the video. Sure I must be doing some
Hi I have a recording of someone speaking, like a podcast in a room। At a few points my sibling is walking above me in a room upstairs which has made a few harsh crackling sounds from like crackly squeeky floor boards upstairs while my speech is being recorded। What edit effects or recomedations do you have to clean such sounds? Thankyou in advance!
Hi, I have this old Mackie MCU connected to Audition and I am trying to figure out how it works. I couldn't find any document about it? At the top I can assign different stuff to the encoders. Like pan and EQ. All the other buttons Send/Plugin/Instrument don't do anything? This is a pity but ok. However, what I am interested in is how to change the EQ function to like the next layer. After clicking EQ I can control the first parameter of the EQ for every channel. But how do I switch to the second parameter of the EQ? I pressed litereally every button but always only the first parameter of the EQ. Which is pretty useless.
My girlfriend just starts to work with Audition and encountered the next issue:She was working on a file and after each adjustement she fast-saved using the shortcut (commnd + S).Suddenly the program crashed, and after opening Audition again all those saves were gone.In a last attempt to close the last file and say no to save it to the original the work of which we thought it was gone, reappeared. Why was Audition not saving using the short cut, or what else could have been the problem???Thank you
Danke 🙂 Win 11 - Audition 23.1.0.75
Hello, just a quick question. Is there any way I can change the "Mix" in the Mixer? I'm unable to change it (I can't even click on it) on any of them. Any clues? Also, any way I can just put the mixer tab back? I detached it by accident and put it on a separate window. Excuse my rookiness. Thank you for any time and assistance.
Hi, I've been using Audition daily for about six months and have the latest version on Catalina 10.15.4. For some reason, I like exporting through media encoder to .mp3. Lately, some exports end up only being heard on the left channel. I feel like there's a setting I changed by mistake, but I need help identifying it. I've attached a screen shot with the export window details. Any guidance will be helpful. Thank you! Edit: I'd like to add that this is while exporting a multitrack.
When I use the Delete Silence function, the silence in my audio clip is not being selected. Instead it is selecting a whole section, including audio. The odd part is when I actually delete the silence, it does what it is supposed to and deletes the silence within the selected section. I need the silences selected so that I can create markers to ultimately cut the silence from a video in premier pro, not just the audio. Here are my settings: Does anyone know what might be going on here and why the silences are not being selected?
When recording in Multitrack using Audition 23.1.0.75 at record STOP (hit spacebar), two seconds of recorded audio - clearly visible in the track - vanish, shortening the clip. The part of the waveform lost was not empty. It occurs with every single recording. This problem affects Macbook Pro as well as all our PC workstations. Workaround: Let the recoding run three full seconds after capturing the audio you want and let the truncation remove unneeded audio at the end of recording.Processor AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor 3.40 GHzInstalled RAM 64.0 GBSystem type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorPen and touch Pen support Edition Windows 10 ProVersion 22H2Installed on 12/14/2022OS build 19045.2486Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0 and Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro11,4 Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Co
I just upgraded Melodyne essential v4 to v5. After upgrade the plug-in is ignored when I create mixdown of my project. v4 worked just fine. I've noticed trial plug-ins are ignored on mixdown, but I have the plug-in licensed and installed correctly. Any ideas?
Hi, Having trouble exporting a simple multitrack session for a cover song. One track with recorded vocals the other track is an mp3 for the backing track. Whenever I export to mp3 all it does is export the backing track without the vocals or both but as separate files... Is there something simple I'm doing wrong?
I exported an omf from premiere to audition, and when I open Audition many tracks are divided in left and right sepearately on different channels. But why? I only want one track with one stereo file...
Markers and metadata: when should I not send them to a client (in a professional recording)?
Is trhere no a way to create a multi track without saving a seesion file? Most times I just need to do a quick slice and loop. I don't ever need to rteturn to the file, can we have an option to turn the instanst save off?
