Bridge

I am taking a Photoshop class and we are using Bridge and Camera Raw for the first time. I get my photos from class in a file and download them to my desktop and then open them in Bridge, but they will hid themselves without me even doing anything, unless I somehow am doing something I don't know I am. The only way to get them to reappear is to close everything and redownload the file and open it again. I was workign on editing some photos and they disappeared again, so I had to start all over again. It happened again after I was almost done with the assignment and now I am back to not seeing any edited photos, with all of them hidden except for one. I can show hidden files from the view menu but it only shows me this, and i cannot see or open the photos. 

I always see my mac and my backup in bridge. Today bridge don't open my backup. 

When I try to make a contact sheet in bridge and select the files... in Bridge>Tool>Photoshop> Contact SHeet> it doesnt show that any of my files are selected, when they are selected in Bridge. 

I admit I never really needed to use Bridge for most of my career. But now I do and when i try to see the 100's of stock images i have I am limited to seeing only the first bit of them, why because I have no scroll bar?    and no matter what view i use I have no scroll bar.     Checked preferences for a setting but no luck. This can't be right. Searched the forum and the web and found others with this problem but no fixes.   Windows 10 64 Bit  Bridge 10.0.3.138 Nvidia RTX 2080 on HP Omen i9 Laptop   Any ideas?  TIA    {Thread renamed by moderator}    

Hi I delete a keyword on some of my files. I launch a Search on that keyword. If I select one at the time Description, Filename, Keywords… the files will not appear in the Search Results. But if I select All Metadata, the files appear in the Search Results as if that keyword is present in the files, but it's not.How is that possible?

Hello,   I have a problem with a javascript (extendscript) I wrote for AI, PS, ID and IC. See https://www.behance.net/gallery/134777275/Javascript-for-AI-PS-and-ID-restore-files-from-CClib   To get it run in Bridge as well I added "target bridge". AI and PS will ignore this line, but ID and IC will start the Bridge instead to run it in ID or IC. I created two versions: one for AI, PS, ID and IC (without #target) and one for Bridge (with #target). But I think, that can't be the best solution, can it?   If there no #if #else like in C++ to check which #target is the right one?   – j.

Photoshop 2022 23.1 / Bridges 2022 12.01.0Layered files (tiffs) do not show any layer that is added from my library in the Bridge preview. If i purge cache, the correct preview loads (alto it's blurry) then reverts.  

I have previously used TIFFS in Bridge for batch renaming images and have not had an issue with previewing images in my content folder and the speed of batch renaming. We have recently switched to PSD files and batch renaming has become a nightmare and takes now a usual speed of 10 minutes to batch rename 8-10 photos. Given I need to rename thousands of images, this is a significant issue I cant seem to resolve. I have the most updated version of Adobe as well. Does anyone know how to resolve this speed issue? 

Just upgraded to Bridge 2022. I take RAW & JPG photos as pairs - same photo in 2 formats. I use Bridge daily to batch-rename photos.Before upgrading to the new Bridge, I could select all paired photos and batch-rename in Bridge, and it would gave the RAW (in my case, .PEF files because I use a Pentax) and JPGs that were paired/identical the same name. (with different file extensions of course)Since upgrading to Bridge 2022, that same process now renders every paired set of files as sequentially numbered files.So now, instead of the same paired files being named:Photo1.jpg and Photo1.pefBridge 2022 is batch-renaming those two photos as:Photo1.jpg and Photo2.pefWhich creates confusion because it makes it harder to tell that the JPG and PEF are actually the exact same image, just rendered as different file formats.How do I return to the prior method of Bridge giving paired photos the same main file name with different extensions?Thank you!!

Hi all,I saw some old posts in Bridge discussions about geotagging but I hope there is something a little more updated out there.  I know how to geotag in LR classic using a gpx file but it doesn't seem to show up for me in bridge.  Is there a way to geotag in Bridge? or a way for the LR geotag to show up in Bridge?Thanks, Mac OS 12.1Bridge 12.0.1.246LR classic 11.1

I installed Adobe Bridge 2020 to see if there were any performance improvements over the 2019 version and just as I thought... it is still incrediblyyyyy slowwwwwwwwwwwww. I immediately went to go open my trusty 2018 version and what do you know... it had been uninstalled!! Only to find out that you completely took the 2018 version off the download tab in Adobe CC?! I am bouncing through giant folders of 1000's of 50mb+ Raw files all day at work.... I can't sit there and watch a poorly optimized program lock up for 10 minutes every time I open a new folder.  Re-enable the download of Adobe Bridge 2018 or my workflow is totally screwed.

I can't open Bridge.  I have tried shutting down the computer and restarting.  I upgrading to Monterey the other day but Bridge was working fine yesterday and even this morning.  Now I can't open it.  And without it I can't work.  HELP!!!

I am a first time user in Bridge.  I want to use the Essentials menu but it is greyed out.  How do I activate it so I can use it?

I work on a Mac...I have a folder that was part of a NAS set up in my favorites section of Bridge. I no longer have any of the files or folders from the NAS but that folder is still in my favorites. I can't just click on it to remove it...anytime I try to do something with it, it just send my computer crazy...Bridge stops responding and I have to force quit and re launch bridge. I think this is causing a host of other problems with my computer also, does anyone know how I could delete this folder? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ever since the last 3 updates, whenever i plug a card in to upload, i get pictures literally scattered all over. It uploads three separate copies into three folders; so for instance my date format is yyyy-mm-dd, which Bridge creates for each date of images on the card, but now it's adding a DCIM, NIKON & D850 folder with that directory, & adding two more copies of all the images, with one random folder being empty ... & it's never the same folder!Bridge also randomly scatters copies of images into other date directories, again entirely at random.I have no enamel left on my teeth ...

I’m using Bridge 12.0.1.246 and upgraded my Mac to OS 12.1.  When downloading from an SD card I do not delete files until the card is near full for back-up.  Until the OS upgrade thumbnails in the download dialogue box showed most recent images first.  It now shows them last and I have to wait until all thumbnails are downloaded before selecting the latest images.  This can take some time on a large capacity SD card.  Is there any way to reverse the order the thumbnails are downloaded?

I have the most recent version of Bridge CC (9.0.1.216 x64).  Strangely, I opened a folder full of MP4 and MOV videos, but none of them will play in the preview window.  I only get the Loupe on the preview still image of the video.  This has never happened to me before.  I keep looking for some setting that will take me out of Loupe view, but have not found it yet.  I''ve been using Bridge for about 3 years.

Dragging macbook, from Finder, files into Bridge not working, files not showing. But appear to be still there as trying to drag again says replace? Unless dragging from a Finder Folder, to the same Bridge Folder "in Finder" when it drags OK and shows in Bridge. Also, even more so now, when closing Bridge and opening again to see it the image appear through that, Bridge is reopening from the top of the folder lists rather than the last used folder, having to go through the whole scrolling down process every time. Cannot belief this can be just my macbook???

I will run down the workflow I need to use first to make the issue clear.1) I open the folder of Raw files in Bridge and add the metadata (copyright description etc) that will be read by the site when they're uploaded. 2) All the images in Bridge get a star rating (1=mistake, 2=maybe, 3=To be processed)3) Open Lightroom and import all the 3 star images to be processed.4) Once all the 3 star images are processed in LR, they are edited further, and all those going on the website get a 4 star rating.My problem is that the images upgraded to 4 stars in LR, are still showing in Bridge as having 3 stars. I want to change the star ratings in Bridge to reflect the updates in LR. That way if one of the designers opens the folder in Bridge to browse for certain files, they will know which ones made the edit and got processed fully in LR and maybe edited further in PS. I tried to manually change the necessary images in Bridge to 4 stars, but that created those 4 star images in LR to gain an excla

I edited around 300 photo's in Bridge and saved each one. I then highlighted around 50 and put them in a folder. When I went back to repeat highlighting and moving  the rest into the same folder, I couldn't find them, and still cant! Any suggestions please? Hello everyone and happy new year to anyone.I have a problem with bridge last version, is unable to export images...version 12.0.0.234 on Big Sur.It just fails whenever photos are opened before in camera raw and they got any adjustment...any idea?Thanks!!!

How do I stop Photoshop launching from Bridge when I single click a thumbnail?

After updating to Bridge 12.0, the XMP files are flashing when I move to a directory containing RAW files. The flashing eventually stops, but the XMP files are continue to be shown. "Show Hidden Files" is not selected, and selecting and unselecting, makes not difference. It must be a preference setting, but I can't find it.
