I would like the Smart Collections Criteria to be able to use more of the metadata. Specifically at the moment I need to use things like City in IPTC Core metadata.
When Bridge opens, display a list or array of recently opened folders including the full path on hover. As a production artist, I organize my projects in folders and I want to open a recent project folder to see the existing files.
It's very confusing when you reject files, then hide rejects. When you then use the filter panel to filter files by type, Bridge informs you no files exist by excluding from the lists, or showing incorrect number. There are several ways Bridge can help but probably the best is to show how many are hidden, if any (see attached mockup). There are probably better ways to show it but I would connect rejected files with the number enclosed in red brackets. The Ratings category is also affected when you hide rejects. It disappears! There are rejected files, so Bridge should keep it in view. Just because there are no other ratings, doesn't mean I may not wish to filter by Reject when rejects are hidden. I just want to hide them in the Content panel to reduce clutter.
When viewing full screen previews, add wrap around notification when you reach the end of file list.Currently, there is no way of easily knowing if you have already previewed the files.
We use dual screen setups with identical monitors. For image comparison, it often made sense to run Bridge on each monitor and to maximize the viewport with the spacebar.Unfortunately, due to the way Bridge is set up, you only currently allow one maximized window, pressing the spacebar on the second window does nothing. A better implementation would even allow for linked zoom levels and viewport-positions for all instances. A comparable feature is available inside Photoshop: Window/Arrange/New Window Match All. This Photoshop feature is limited to just one image – in Bridge one should target different images to spot deviating details.
We embed RAWs to PSD files regulary. Such files offer greater editing freedom as other PSDs, yet one cannot see this property in Bridge. It would be great to have an optional indicator for embedded DNGs.
Hi, it would be nice now that prelude is discontinued that we have more video functions in Bridge. simple editing and sorting of video would be greatthis would also help with slideshows
Printing directly from Bridge without having to resort to Photoshop or Acrobat simply eliminates an unnecessary export to another application. There are extremely few apps these days which don't have some method of sending a document or image to a printer; it is especially germane to an interface like Bridge.
It would be nice to have a book panel similar to the book function tab in Lightroom. I'm editing a large amount of files between Lightroom, Bridge and Photoshop with a book proposal in mind, and once a final collection is edited in Bridge, rather than go back to Lightroom to preview and edit a book, it would be great if one could stay in Bridge.
(Workflows needs to be added to the categories)In my production flow, I need to use a script, "set filename to title", and I am sure that there are many more use cases for scripts in one's.. well, workflow. If the goal of workflow is to be become central to one's production, it does need more options and customizations.
Would be extremely helpful if I could see what collection(s) a photo is in while using thumbnail view, same way I can see keywords and other metadata
The + icon for new content tab isn't very user friendly. See attached image of what I think will be a major improvement.
Please allow filmstrip orientation to the right-hand side to join the menu settings in ACR. This will speed up adjustments and reduce mouse movements. It would also be more efficient for left-handed users if you could move the menus to the left.
Among the many issues with the new user interface in Bridge 13 and 14, the bright header on Windows stands out. Here are a few suggestions to make the appearance more pleasing, quickly. - **Adapt to theme colours**- **Reduce the header to Single Row** (see headers in Photohop, Illustrator, InDesign). Indicators for secondary windows don't need to have a second row of text, and the same goes for the file path. It was best if you made additional Bridge Windows first class citizens (as in V12), then you wouldn't need hints.- **Let us hide the toolbar.** No Adobe program I use shows toolbars for such basic functions. In more than 10 years, I have not clicked that Bridge toolbar once - it only wastes precious vertical space.- **Move Workspace Tabs to the Header**- Revisit other areas of wasteful element arrangement (see attached gif)
The new Camera Raw 16 includes a terrible layout, separating out exposure and color temp. They go hand-in-hand! Now when I'm finishing photos and I want to adjust color temp, I can't see if I have modified exposure (or any other lighting parameters.) Please bring back the old layout for those two. It's crucial to see exposure and color temp at the same time. Color temp and exposure doesn't respond linearly -- so if I'm adjusting exposure I want to know my color temp, and vice versa.Thank you!
Here are two enhancements requests for batch renaming. Both of them should require just a few lines of code and would enhance our daily workflows greatly.*Let us use longer image names.*The text fields offer plenty of space, yet you only offer us space for names up to roughly 25 letters. For our use-case we always need far longer names. They never fit the current field. It was an easy change to make the current field grow, when longer input gets detected.*Give us a checkbox to reset the "sequence number" field*. This would make work with series of images a lot less tedious. I even suggest making "reset" the default value (checkbox checked) – I cannot imagine a use-case where contiguous numbering between renaming sessions was desirable. The attached paint over shows the proposed changes.
1. Can't drag select multiple files in column while scrolling.2. With drag select multiple files in column to bottom edge quite slow. And after reach the end point, it appears multiple unstable issues:- sometimes it lost selection after drag select and scroll,- sometimes it returns back first page, only selects the files on first page.- sometimes it didn't scroll at all, only stay at first page.
With the recent iterations of Adobe Bridge, specifically the 2023 and 2024 versions, there has been a significant change in how the software handles thumbnails and previews. In Bridge 2022, both the thumbnail and preview sizes were adjustable according to user preferences. This allowed for a highly customizable user experience, catering to individual needs and workflow requirements. However, in Bridge 2023 and 2024, only the thumbnail size adheres to user-defined settings. When a RAW file is selected, the preview is automatically generated, regardless of the previously set preview size. This change, while potentially beneficial for some, may not suit everyone's workflow.I propose the introduction of separate settings for thumbnails and previews. This would provide users with greater control over their interface, allowing them to optimize their workspace according to their specific needs.Having separate settings for these two features would ensure that Bridge continues to offer a flexibl
Upon "Batch renaming", and utilizing the preview option to contrast the original files' names against the new titles, long names are disadvantageous because Bridge does not have the feature to extend these long names, which compel users to export the "Previewable data" as CSV file and view them in Excel sheet to double check and confirm the data prior to confirmation. If these 2 steps can be reduced to one by adding this feature that would facilitate the experience and be more user friendly.
Muchas gracias!!

Where is the Tools/Photoshop window for exporting to PSD from Bridge? You can only export to JPG, Tiff, PNG, DNG
