There is a new file type, .JXL. It's supposed to support HDR and all that. And it does. But the thing is, Bridge and PS don't read the .JXL file, all they give you is a bad preview of it. If you open camera raw, you'll be able to see the HDR in the photo, but when you save and go back to Bridge/PS, you won't see the changes. Very frustrating, as I'm using HDR more and more. Would like to see an update soon because the HDR feature is basically useless for now.Also, deleting the .JXL ALSO deletes the .raw file attached to it, that's just ridiculous...And of course I'm using the latest versions of both programs.

Bridge is great to see thumbnails of all your graphics. However, when developing graphics there are multiple superseded versions. If I want to view all my graphics from a particular project in Bridge, I will get all of the superseded versions as well as the current one. All the superseded INDD and PNG files are in folders called "ss". It would be great if I could exclude any folders that are called "ss", so that assuming everything has been filed correctly, I'd only see one copy of every graphic (the current one).

Allow users to add, edit meta data in the downloader window. This has been a needed feature for over a decade now. I know I'm probably supposed to be using Photo Mechanic or other photo ingestion program but I haven't ugh. But I can't understand why the Bridge Photo Downloader doesn't allow me to edit or input keywords and File Info- caption information- before I start my photo ingest/download from the memory card. At the bare minimum, and in addition to the metadata template selector that already exists, there needs to be a place to edit/append keywords and input file info/description. Including all metadata fields would be great but at least allow the user to put in some minimal metadata right at download.I often have many different photo shoots on one card before I'm at my laptop to download them, so being able to use the Photo Downloader to attach the appropriate meta data to batches of photos as they're being downloaded would save me time and make my workflow a lot better. I'd love to load snapshots directly in Bridge, without opening the pictures in ACR. That's something that Lightroom already does (see screenshot), but that's also the only thing I like about Lr. 😄

in Bridge a person used to be able to take a selection of images, right click one of the selected images and an option for auto panorama, and focus stacking, used to be present and functional. please bring this feature back

More often than I wish, I accidentally change the star rate I've given a photo, usually when I'm hovering over the pictures and thinking what to do next. I would like to have padlock feature with which I could lock the star rating when I'm done and also unlock it if I need to make any change.

Bridge Write Exif Date-Time is wrong.Adobe software used for cahnge the DateTimeOriginal time.Problem is that after change the field value isn't accepted in many apps. Please make it possible in Bridge preferences to choose whether one sees the stars for files whether or not the file is actually selected. As it is now, a file has be selected in order to give it a star rating, rather than simply clicking on the visible stars regardless of being selected.

The files I delete from the SD card are moved to the trash can on my computer's SSD. When I do the same operation with finder, it is moved to the trash can of my SD card. This reduces the life of my computer's SSD and takes up unnecessary space. Why isn't it left in the SD card like finder does?

Add an option to Review Mode to be able to load and view images at 100% magnification and be able to pan around the image to check details. Sometimes I need to be able to view an close-up to choose between images, assign ratings, select etc. It is cumbersome to use the loupe for this. It would be much better to be able to load the entire image at full size and then pan around it to check the details.

I wish there was Previous and Next in File Info window. It will save me a lot of time as for now I need to close, go to next image, open etc.Thank you

Currently, with Smart Collections, we can use one search-path and add more criteria to narrow results down.This isn't very helpful in our work-context. We need to track file-presence in two or more distinct locations – possibly also different drives. It's impractical and causes mostly 99% irrelevant search to specify a very broad (root) directory which hosts all file versions.Searches can also get spoiled results which match the pattern, but are undesirable for any reason. Instead of using unique flags on files in all desired search locations (which is always prone to error) one should be able to combine the result of several instances of Search in Smart Collections.As these "Sub-Searches" target far fewer files, such Smart Collections should execute with improved performance. When renaming a file in the contents panel, if the rewritten file name is on multiple lines, only the characters entered later are displayed, and the automatically converted characters are not visible and have to be retyped again.When the rewritten file name becomes long, the text area should be expanded accordingly.コンテンツパネルでファイル名をリネームする際、書き換えたファイル名が複数行になると、後に入力した文字しか表示されず、自動変換した文字が見えずに再度入力をやり直すことになる。書き換えたファイル名が長くなった時、テキストエリアを適宜広げてほしい。

Sometimes I need to draw some notes in the photos, like arrows, circles, handwritten notes, right now I need to wait to photoshop to open in order to do that, its a slow process.

I would like to have a wider choice of metadata options to display as addtional lines in the thumbails. The metadata field Title (IPTC Core) would be a nice feature. The field is present in the advanced search, but is not a selectable field for thumbnail display.

I would really like to be able to somehow separate my automatic exposure shots from my manual exposure shots. Doing this 1 by 1 is tedious and prone to error. It would be a bonus to get to search/filter by metering mode and exposure compensation. If this cannot be added to the Filter Panel, it would be useful to have this as a sortable category in the Metadata file listing information.[P.S. You can sort of do this in RAW with _MG for manual and IMG for auto, but that's not helpful for photos that have been renamed or are only jpegs.]

I would like the Smart Collections Criteria to be able to use more of the metadata. Specifically at the moment I need to use things like City in IPTC Core metadata.

When Bridge opens, display a list or array of recently opened folders including the full path on hover. As a production artist, I organize my projects in folders and I want to open a recent project folder to see the existing files.

It's very confusing when you reject files, then hide rejects. When you then use the filter panel to filter files by type, Bridge informs you no files exist by excluding from the lists, or showing incorrect number.There are several ways Bridge can help but probably the best is to show how many are hidden, if any (see attached mockup). There are probably better ways to show it but I would connect rejected files with the number enclosed in red brackets.The Ratings category is also affected when you hide rejects. It disappears! There are rejected files, so Bridge should keep it in view. Just because there are no other ratings, doesn't mean I may not wish to filter by Reject when rejects are hidden. I just want to hide them in the Content panel to reduce clutter.

When viewing full screen previews, add wrap around notification when you reach the end of file list.Currently, there is no way of easily knowing if you have already previewed the files.

We use dual screen setups with identical monitors. For image comparison, it often made sense to run Bridge on each monitor and to maximize the viewport with the spacebar.Unfortunately, due to the way Bridge is set up, you only currently allow one maximized window, pressing the spacebar on the second window does nothing. A better implementation would even allow for linked zoom levels and viewport-positions for all instances. A comparable feature is available inside Photoshop: Window/Arrange/New Window Match All. This Photoshop feature is limited to just one image – in Bridge one should target different images to spot deviating details.
