I have various folders holding photographic images - dng, tiff and jpg - and categorised these under Bridge Collections. Moved files around in folders and even deleted some subsequently empty folders. Now all Collections are empty, showing 'Missing Files' and the recovery process, one at a time, is insanely laborious.
I am doing a lot of 45 MP bird shots with 400-800 mm lenses. Even with a fast Mac it takes forever to identify the pictures that are the sharpest. I would appreciate a function where Bridge went through a set of shots and marked the the sharpest. It might take time, but could run in the background or during creation of previews.
I'm missing "search by filename list" - feature from Bridge.I'm often sending hundreds of low-res previews from my photoshoots to my clients and they respond me with folder of selected photos. It would be perfect workflow to simply copy these files and paste them as filenames to (specific) search tab. Similar workflow is available at least in Lightroom and in one other popular tethered shooting application. There are some scripts available to get this function, but they seem to be quite unstable. Also I would appreciate if you invent something even more innovative workflow to select batch of original camera files for final post-processing. Using either list / folder of low-res files with same filename or even using capture time or other image metadata or image itself where they wouldn't be need to care about filenames.
Bridge display breaks if a directory contains files with special characters in their filenames, including accent marks (common in non-English names!). Bridge will claim that directory has "no items to display." Not only does it not display the images with non-basic characters, it won't display ANY of the images in that directory. Please fix this bug so that Bridge will not get hung up on special characters in filenames!(Unfortunately because this is a shared directory linked to a content management system I can't just edit the filenames in the finder to fix this. It is also not possible to ensure files are uploaded to this directory with clean filenames.)
When we place a photo at the beginning of a stack, then we make another display with another filter and finally we display the stack in question again with a filter, the chosen photo is no longer at the beginning of the stack. This bug should be fixed.
There is an apply previous conversion option in Bridge, but what about a relative previous conversion option? For example, you've color corrected 1,000 images. Some were color corrected at night, so naturally those images are a little bit off. You could use the copy and paste settings to only select color balance, but then you notice that by going cooler on the color balance, the images need a little bit brighter exposure. This has to be done manually for each image as every image is a little bit different when it comes to exposure, especially if you're shooting with flash or aperture priority. If there were a relative previous conversion, you could do this in all one step. Make changes to the first image, apply the relative previous conversion, and it adjusts by the amount of change you made to the previous image. You adjust the color balance by -0.5 and exposure by +0.2. This relative change is applied to all the images you select and apply it to. This is also perfect for when you ha
Lately Camera Raw has been freezing and the way to unfreeze computer it to force close Bridge, therefore losing all my edits as there is no save command on Camera Raw. The only way to save images is to click Done. However if I wanna be saving my edits as I’m making them it’s tedious to be opening and closing camera raw. Ctrl+S saves a new file with applied edits. It’d be nice to have Ctrl+S to work has it does on Photoshop, so that I can save my images in Camera Raw as I’m working on them so that if I crash I don’t loose all my edits. Or live saving like Lightroom would be cool as well.
I want to be able to see the edits made to jpg images in ACR in LightRoom. It appears I can save the ACR edit data as an xmp but then that data cannot be imported into LightRoom as it could if they were raw files. Need to be able to either embed the edit details into the jpg properly from bridge/ACR or to open the xmp file and import it to LightRoom when working with jpgsthank you
What is the embedded metadata attribute and value to identify if a transparent background exists within a digital image by metadata alone? There is a need to be able to know they are present via metadata, look it up on Bridge via metadata and report on it in bulk for hundreds of thousands of images at a time. Not by visually checking each image which is unrealistic in volume. If it does not exist today, can we have a means of identifying Transparent backgrounds within embedded metadata that can be checked (in bulk) for many images? I did find the ability to identify a clipping path in embedded metadata in bulk without ever visually checking an image (ClippingPathName : Path1), so please make it easier to identify images with a transparent background without opening them up and visually checking them for time savings. If this does exist, please share how to identify transparent backgrounds with embedded metadata alone.
Bridge has encountered problems and needs to close, we apologizeWhat is the problem? And solution?
Like the previous 10+ versions of Bridge, when you double-click on a folder it expands to show other folders inside. Most professionals do this HUNDREDS of times a day. This is REMOVED in Bridge 2023. Instead of having a nice large area to double-click on (the ENTIRE folder name), you have to EXACTLY click (I'm talking 1 pixel off and it doesn't work) on the super small little arrow > next to it instead. This un-needed precision which is now required takes WAY longer to navigate through folders, especially when file management is a HUGE part of many creative jobs. You're making more work for us for no reason. This really does add up time-wise when you need to expand folders 200, 500, 1000+ times a day... every day... year after year...

Thumbs and Previews of Apple ProRes-Files with alpha are broken. Professional Assets are delivered in this format and Bridge never was and still is not capable of previewing these files. Please fix.Thank you.Adobe Bridge 13.0.1, Windows 11 Build 22621.819, nVidia Driver 522.25
In the Workflow Details window Task Details automatically opens, but Saving Options have to be opened manually each time the Workspace containing my Workflows is accessed. I think this is the exact opposite of how it should work. Saving Options is used constantly to set the destination folder for the workflow. On the other hand Task Details is simply informational. It shows the selected options for the preset and that is all it does. And by the way Task Details does not reset when changing from one preset to another. For example, I have one preset to save to Tiff files and another to save to Jpg files in the same Workspace. When I switch from the Tiff preset to the Jpg preset the Task Details still shows the options for the Tiff preset. To update the information in Task Details requires switching back and forth between workspaces to refresh it. The Task Details does not affect how the preset works, so this is not a serious issue. But still, if it is going to be there it ought to show t
The image title cannot be turned off at present (or I haven't found a way to do it yet) when I project the images at my camera club competitions. I must be able to retain the ratings though. Currently they cause the title to re-appear and continue to be displayed on subsequent images.
Add an option to Date Modified so that a date range can be selected, e.g.:Date Modified -> equals -> last 2 weeks, or last 1 week, or last 2 months, etc. (see attached file)
Getting used to the new interface but it takes a lot of concentration to figure out which panel the path is referring to when you're browsing several locations at the same time (to move stuff between folders, or if you're pulling assets from two+ different places for a project). Just attaching the path to each one would solve this confusion elegantly.
Searching via keywords requires you to right-click on a keyword, click "Find" to bring up a different window, and then click "Find" again. This is not very intuitive and the UX isn't very good. In the Keywords panel, you should be able to click the Keywords you want to search for and then click search. I don't know if this requires a new panel just for searching or if there can be two buttons at the button of the existing panel: "Add" and "Search" (or "Find") - one for adding keywords to a file and one for searching by selected keywords. Also, currently, when adding more Keywords to the Search / Find criteria in the Find Pop-up window, you have to type them out, which could lead to misspellings or forgetfulness. There should be a dropdown of all the current keywords to choose from instead.

Whenever I browse to a folder of sub-folders, or a folder containing many images, you run some sort of CPU-intensive activity on the FOREGROUND THREAD, thereby making Bride useless, for many minutes in some cases. I can only imagine you're updating some cache or thumbnails, but PLEASE, run this operation on a BACKGROUND THREAD so that I can make some use of Bridge, otherwise it's just a brick paperweight. THANK YOU.
I guess it's more a bug fix. After I updated to 2023, all my Favorites are gone. When I manually restore them, they are gone next time the computer has been shut down for the night.
When searching for items in Bridge that need to be within a range of dates, when I use the "Date Created" option that is "greater than" AND use "lesser than", it still applies 'OR' in the search logic, so both search criteria nulls each other out and I end up seeing all files created ever in that directory. Please add/ fix this.
Along with "Add" and "Delete", it would be great to add a button to "Duplicate" a search criteria item, especially when searching for ranges or series of items. Being able to click one button to do that would save several moments of adding a new criteria item and goign through the dropdowns and re-clicking (or even re-typing) something you already input.
When I try to output pdf files, changing the DPI field to a low value with a fixed size page doesn't necessarily result in changes to the actual dpi, even if I reset the folder between creating the PDF. Within a pdf, it appears that the dpi changes between images, even if the originals are all high resolution
I can open PNGs and WebP images in Camera Raw from Photoshop, but I cannot open those images in Camera RAW from Bridge. In my workflow it is faster to work directly in Bridge rather than having to open up Photoshop.Support for avif-images would also be very welcome.
