What happened? Mac and ipad (safari and OS latest versions) have lost everything. No idea where they are kept in brower so cant back up. Adobe, don't keep it a secret where to find the files. ☹

Thanks, droopy. That's a really useful contribution. Now we (mac users) know where to point timemachine. Agree, ipad and other devices are still vulnerable to apparently random stored-in-browser losses. Upvoted on those posts.

Hello @Christopher Hawes,

On MacOS, the files are stored in the hidden directory structure ~/Library. This is where most configuration files and temporary storage related to applications is. But this structure is not easy to traverse. I have used MacOS for decades and I still struggle to find things in there. Generally, if you are not backing up the ~/Library directory structure, your probability if recovering the files is close to zero. I use Time Machine and ensure it is backing up the Library structure. I have used that several times to roll back a browser profile to a known state.  If you actually are backing up the Library structure, let us know.

The iPad situation is worse in that Apple hides all the behind the scenes stuff from users.

All of this could be avoided if Adobe used a centralised system to store favourites rather than browser cache. I recommend you look at these posts and upvote the one(s) you would like to see:

My best,
