P: Every uploaded image is flagged with the "content credentials" error.

Every image I upload as the first frame for Firefly Video generation is flagged with the "content credentials" error. Even when I create a completely new, flat white .jpg.

Not resolved. I’m getting it consistently with my OWN images of my own character… images i made specificaly to be used as reference. they work fine with other models - i’ve spent the day comparing a number of them. So… congrats - you adobe folks seem to have managed to nerf Firefly to the point that it’s virtually unusable while your competitors forge ahead.

    Hi @Vitoria+calkd,

I have seen this problem before (and merged your post into this thread). It is likely a bug and has been reported but we have not heard back on it yet.

Can you try slightly altering the image you are using, re-save it, and try using the new image and see if you still get the error.

    Thanks,

    Hi @TJ JWC,

Is this in video generation only or also in image generation. If in image generation, can you please upload a screenshot of the full browser window with the error and tell us your OS and browser?

    Thanks,

For months now I am unable to upload any image to Firefly. I tried all suggested fixes (restart, clear cache, change browser, incognito mode, screen grab image, etc.) and none work. There is no specific image that has the issue- all kinds of images get the same  'Content Credentials' warning. This has nothing to do with the image type, so please do not reply with " we're sorry... please upload the image you were trying to use" . This is a Firefly bug that needs to be fixed ASAP.

FireFly is rejecting original images for text-to-video generation due to alleged Content Credentials

System: Windows 11, Dell workstation (custom high spec for video/photo editing, Intel based)

Task: to animate a product photo taken in studio and edited in PS desktop (Enterprise license) in form of a slow motion rotation on a generated background with video-gen AI tool.

Issue: after attempt of uploading reference frames with the product photo (png + alpha, png or jpg) error message is displayed saying:

“This image has Content Credentials that indicate it can't be used with generative AI features.”

Files are originally taken by myself. Never being enhanced or treated with any AI tool. Just plain macro photography.

    Troubleshooting so far:

    - Trying different file types (png, png+alpha, jpg)

    - Stripping files from any metadata before uploading

    NO SUCCESS.

I have a feeling that the amount of rejected files grows everyday. It’s almost like every single photo being rejected on the above mentioned grounds.

    Hi Mike Lubay,
Thank you so much for flagging.

We’ve already escalated a similar case to the product team, and they’re still investigating.
To help us more, please share the original reference image(s) in a zip file, since the format changed when uploaded to the community platform.

    Looking forward to your update.

    Hi Mohamed29678166r7ds,
    Thanks for reaching out!

We’ve started seeing similar reports from Enterprise users. Is your plan Individual or Enterprise?
Could you let us know if the issue also happens on Boards?

Let us know what you find.

    Hi @Hajar Toutsi,

    Thanks for the reply.

Mine is an Individual plan, not Enterprise.

The issue doesn’t seem to happen on Boards, I just tried it now. But I don’t think Boards’ workflow will be useful for my current project.

    Thank you!

    Thanks for confirming, Mohamed29678166r7ds!

To help the product team investigate further, could you share a short recording of the issue as it happens on your end, using the same image you included in your post? Since we weren’t able to reproduce the error ourselves, seeing it directly will be really helpful.

    Looking forward to your update.

    Hi,

I’m on the Firefly Premium plan.

Whether I use my own pictures that I took with a camera, or my own Firefly-generated images, to use as a reference image in a video, I always get the error: "Upload another image: This image has Content Credentials that indicate it can't be used with generative AI features."

Here’s a random image we took with our camera that still gave us the same error message:

I KNOW there is a workaround that makes it work for Firefly-generated images by clicking the “share” button and selecting “image-to-video”, but it still doesn’t solve the issue because:

    1. It only works for Firefly-generated images and,
    2. Even for Firefly-generated images, “image-to-video” only sets it as the first frame of the video, but I can’t use it to add the last frame, and I can’t use to add more reference images.

I’ven facing tis issue too. Tested it with several images which I’ve taken or created. even after having removed meta data. Not even a screenshot works. We tested it in our organistation with several computers and assets. After some weeks, today I tested it again with new images. Same problem. We cannot use at all Firefly since this problem occurs. Yet we subscribed with an major AI platform to create Videos, as it seem like Adobe is a bit sleepy in fixing heavy bugs like this :-(

    Hi Nils_75,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We’ve started seeing similar reports from Enterprise users. Could you let us know if the issue also happens on Boards?

We’re trying to confirm if it’s the same situation another user described: ‘Our IT department found that the Content Credential API call was blocked by security software — which explains why image‑to‑video works in Firefly Boards (drag and drop from desktop) but not in the Generate module (where the upload triggers the call).’

If this matches your case, that would be super helpful. Your reports are really valuable and help the product team act quickly.

Firefly Boards seems to work. However I tested it only with 2 images.

The image has Content Credential on every image which I am loading. Even - as a test - a simple image with a few written letters.
I try with a white background with a sample text. I try with other background color. I use .png or .jpg extension to save files. What is the solution?
    Thanks
