P: I keep getting "Something went wrong. Please try again later."

I'm trying to create images with Gemini Nano Banana and often, it doesn't generate the image and displays the following message:

"Something went wrong. Please try agin later.".

I tried last night and it didn't work, and now, this morning, it doesn't work either. It’s not the first time it happens. It's frustrating because I have credits to use before they expire in a few days and if I can't use them, I lose them.

    Hi everyone,

To help us investigate this further, we'd appreciate it if you could share a HAR file. Please follow the steps below to capture and attach it:

    1. Open Google Chrome.
    2. Press F12 on your keyboard (or right-click anywhere on the page and select Inspect) to open Developer Tools.
    3. Go to the Network tab.
    4. Enable Preserve log by checking the box at the top of the Network panel.
    5. Reproduce the issue in Adobe Firefly.
    6. Once the issue occurs, return to the Network panel.
    7. Right-click anywhere within the list of network requests.
    8. Select Save all as HAR with content.
    9. Save the .har file to your computer.
    10. Reply with the saved HAR file attached so our team can review it and investigate further.

    Regards,

    Tarun

I tried Google AI tools in the Network tab, asking why the request failed, and it said this: (I have no idea what this means or if it helps, I just want to get back to making my deadline!!!)

This request is a CORS preflight (OPTIONS) check. It asks the server for permission to send a POST request from firefly.adobe.com to commerce.adobe.com.

Root Cause: The server returned a 201 Created status code. While this is a successful 2xx code, it is non-standard for an OPTIONS request. Most browsers and web standards expect a 200 OK or 204 No Content for preflight checks. Some client-side environments or strict security policies may treat a 201 as an invalid preflight response, causing the subsequent POST request to be blocked.

    Timing Analysis:

    • Total Duration: 258 ms.
    • Waiting (TTFB): 178 ms. The latency is acceptable for a preflight, but because preflights block the actual data request, this adds ~260ms of overhead to every log entry sent.

    Suggestions:

    • Change the Status Code: Configure the server to return 200 OK or 204 No Content specifically for OPTIONS requests to ensure maximum compatibility.
    • Add Cache Headers: Add an Access-Control-Max-Age header (e.g., 86400) to the response. This allows the browser to cache the preflight permission, eliminating this 258ms delay for future requests.

Tried to save HAR file, only gave copy option in context menu, so I pasted it in notepad and have attached it. I’m pushing to finalize a project and have to stick with the same image generator for consistency and am now at a standstill, pushing prototype print date back, so frustrating!

When I try to upload the saved HAR saved data, your system won’t upload it even… Seriously this is pathetic.

I have the same problem. Some images upscale, some don’t. Doesn’t seem to be a pattern as to which work. At first I thought it was because they were branded assets, but even random ones don’t work. Is there a policy against upscaling AI generated assets now?

Your system is not taking the file that I have saved… So you seriously have issues. I am better off going back to the free version...

Does it matter what browser is used?

Got the same problem and recurring ‘soething went wrong’ messages for past 2 days in a row. It seems to be the reference images used, but this wasnt the case 2 weeks ago. Any solutions yet Adobe? Its frustrating not being able to work with a paid subscription.
