P: I keep getting "Something went wrong. Please try again later."

I'm trying to create images with Gemini Nano Banana and often, it doesn't generate the image and displays the following message:

"Something went wrong. Please try agin later.".

I tried last night and it didn't work, and now, this morning, it doesn't work either. It’s not the first time it happens. It's frustrating because I have credits to use before they expire in a few days and if I can't use them, I lose them.

    Hello everyone. Any news? Because on my end it's blocked. With Google Chrome, in nano banana mode, or Firefly, no matter what the request is. Not to mention that I feel like my browser under Firefly is connected to a 56K modem.
     

    Is a fix planned? Or at least an explanation of what's causing the issue? It's becoming difficult to work on our projects with any peace of mind under these conditions.

    SOLUTION

    Since I see no response from Adobe. 

    The problem is that when you purchase a subscription and want to add the 7 day free trial period.

    Then all the partnermodels are being blocked (unable to connect to the servers).

    I had purchased a subscription with the 7 day trial period and on day 3 from one moment to another  all (partnermodels) stopped working. 

    Now I made a new account payed for the subscription right away without requesting the 7 day free trial.

    And everything is in perfect working order (well not perfect, the webapp is still full of annoying - and preformance bottlenecking bugs).

    So if you are in the same situation with a seven day trial. And you want to start using the software right now, just create a new account so you can use the 30% off promo (because the promo probably will not work anymore if you cancel your account before the trail period has expired} , and pay for the subscription without a 7 day free trial.

     

    I really don't no why it's so difficult for Adobe to just communicate this to the customer so they can get going again creating and working on projects.

    After clearing all of my past images, cookies, cache, etc. and waiting several days, I no longer receive the error on most prompts when using Firefly models.

    The prompts that I still receive this error with are ones that Shutterstock’s image generator also had problems with. Shutterstock had “inappropriate content” issues with specific key words or phrases in the prompts I was using (example: Shutterstock had an issue with the phrase “cinematic close-up shot focusing on the neck” … not sure why this was problematic). None of my prompts contained or should have produced anything inappropriate, but I created some “watered down” versions of my prompts anyway, and both Shutterstock and Firefly accepted them without a problem.

    It would be great going forward if Firefly produced an error telling us why the issue occurred rather than simply “Something Went Wrong - Please Try Again Later.” This implies that a temporary server issue or something of that nature is at fault. If the prompt is the issue, this would be good to know right away so that we can pivot and change our approach. The issue dragged on for me longer than necessary because I kept trying back with the same prompts.

    This thing really has been going on for too long now. Without a clear explanation or update on the situation. Clearly many people experiencing this. This is not just a bug. 

    The issue renders 70% of the service unusable unavailable. Credits are being taken away next billing date without a way to use them because.  You are selling subscriptions based on promotional material giving an unlimited use of certain models yet they remain blocked on the server level. That is under EU-consumer law False Advertising.  

    Meanwhile when I create a free account everything is in working order using its daily free generations. But then when I go and pay for the product adding my credit card to the account, then all partner-models are blocked and the app/webapp is bricked for all the partner models.

     

    We need clear information. Solutions for being billed monthly without receiving the service we payed for.  Right now I'm renting a car from you for a month  and you only provide a car with 2 wheels.

    I get the same error with GPT 2 or other partner models… for any kind of prompt or reference image. I still have 2000+ credits. 
    It used to work last month.

    Hi !

    I'm almost relieved to see I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. We all use Adobe for work, not to post vacation photos on Instagram. I pay for a subscription so I can use it smoothly, not to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown every time I generate something - or worse, every time I try to edit, when Firefly deigns to accept reference images at all. Thank you for your quick help. This issue really needs to be looked into properly!

    Hi !
    The bug mostly happens on Chrome: it gets completely stuck.

    On Safari, it happens about every other time, but downloads no longer work there.

    It seems to be more stable on mobile, using the app.

    This has been an ongoing issue for the past two weeks. Has the technical team found any solution yet, or are they all sipping piña coladas in Barbados while our subscriptions fund the vacation???

    this isn’t fair to those of us who rely on Adobe for work and pay for these services every month. We’re approaching an entire month of features not working properly, yet we’re still being charged. 

    The issue clearly isn’t fixed for everyone. Instead of telling us it’s resolved, please prioritize actually fixing the problem. We depend on these tools for our livelihood, and we’d appreciate a real update and a permanent solution. Thank you.

    I keep running into the same issue. Tired running it in incognito mode. Tried clearing cookies and cache. tried waiting, resetting. Nothing works. I’ve had this issue for the last 7 days or so. Maybe it will work for the first two images but then shuts down and i cant get anything to work. Even the adobe firefly models have stopped working. I don’t submit heavy requests. they are pretty simple since i just use it to optimize art sparingly for pre press production outputs.  

    Not sure what i can do on this! 🙏
