Upscaling the wrong image

I generated several images through the web interface, when I found an image I liked, I pressed upscale, but it chose the wrong image. After that, it kept choosing the same wrong image each time I tried to upscale.

Hi @KatieErickson,

Brave is known to have issues with Firefly video. The engineering team is investigating this problem. If you are able, please try turning fast mode off, and see if the problem still happens.

I am using Mac OS 15.3.2, and I tried Brave (which I have used very successfully with Firefly many times) and Safari. Brave is version 1.77.97, Chromium: 135.0.7049.84. Safari is version 18.3.1 (20620.2.4.11.6).

Hello @KatieErickson,

Others have reported similar problems, so I have merged your message into this thread with the others. Please also tell us what operation system (OS) and browser you are using along with their version numbers.

I will enquire and see if the source of this problem is known.

My best,

Around 5 days ago, I generated a bunch of images, and now I've decided which one I want to use. However, at the time, I did not upscale them, since I was only going to use one out of a dozen or more. Today, I found the image I want in my Files section, I click it, and I click Upscale, and it regenerates the image into something totally different! I also tried clicking Upscale All, which also regenerates all four of them. How can I get an upscaled version of an image that I previously generated?

I tried this using two different web browsers, and both have the same issue.

No, I am not going to take the time to do that when I have other stuff to do and have already moved on to another tool that works. I will explain what I think is happening though. Basically, when creating an iterated series of images with changes to the prompt itself, predefined options, and reference images the tool somehow conflates them with a single set within all of the generations. The upscale will then keep upscaling that same set it had identified. It seems the larger group of images is being associated with a single set in that larger group and then upscales only that.

Hello @Omnibuzz,

Can you please create a screen recording of this behaviour?  Please also tell us what operation system (OS) and browser you are using along with their version numbers.

I am also having this issue. I try to upscale an image and it keeps upscaling another set of images. The only image that works is not being upscaled. How do I fix this?

Hi @cevebed_8490,

Are you seeing this in the new Firefly interface that was released this week?  If so, could you please make a screen recording of that?

Thanks,

When clicking on upscale in Firefly text to image it generates new images instead of upscaling the image you selected.
