After Effects 2025 hanging at the end of export

When I export AE hangs at the end, the progress bar gets to the end and then AE just hangs for 5 to 20 mins. Export is always fine immediately after progress bar gets to 100% but AE is unresponsive like its still processing the last frame.

Doesn't happen all the time normally after I have had it open for and hour or 2. Happens with any format (mov, h264, jpeg, tiff) and any duration even a single frame export.

    Quick update - I have been running in best perfomance but unfortunately I'm still getting the same issue.

    Hi Nishu,

    Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K 3.20 GHz
    Installed RAM 64.0 GB (63.7 GB usable)
    Edition Windows 11 Home
    Version 24H2


    GeForce RTX 3080
    NVIDIA Studio 580.97

     

    Energy saver is off and my power mode was set to balanced so will try it on 'Best Performance' and report back.

     

    NVIDIA GPU settings look to be max but will dig a little deeper.

     

    Also having the clipping issue - Colorspace clipping using add blend modes in OCIO ... - Adobe Product Community - 15284676 (just incase you think there could be a relationship)

    Somtimes the only way I can get AE to Come alive again is to put windows into sleep mode, then when you wake windows back up AE is fine

    Hi NRowe,

     

    What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)? Is your GPU driver updated? Try adjusting the power options in the OS settings or GPU driver settings for better performance.

    I have the same problem alot. The progress bar freezes after rendering for a while. Clicking around the AE GUI, the interface refreshes and the progress bar jumps to 100%.

    I seems that if the interface is not active for while AE forgets to update.

    This can create at panic reaction when you thing AE has crashed.

    After Effects version 25.2 also hangs.
