Issue – The standard Mocha AE shortcuts don't work anymore and CMD+A immediately closes Mocha AE without saving. Even switching the shortcuts presets and reinstalling didn't help.
Adobe After Effects version number – 25.1.0 (Build 68)
Operating system – macOS Sequoia 15.1.1
Steps to reproduce – Try to use Mocha shortcuts, like ‘X’ to move the viewer, ‘Q / W / E’ to move / rotate / scale masks, or ‘CMD+A’ to select all points in a mask.
Expected result – When hitting ‘CMD+A’ all points in the current mask should be selected.
Actual result – Mocha AE closed without saving and without producing an error message.
This issue has been fixed in the latest 25.2 version of After Effects. Please let us know if you continue to experience this issue after updating to the latest.
No disrespect to the engeneers and ae/adobe team, but 4 months tells me the company doesn't see our concerns as important. It's sad to pay in dollars for crumbs.
Every time i use the shortcut to select all points the app instantly closes, what is happening to mocha AE? Is it just me? It makes no sense ctrl+a closing the app, and as it is an universal shortcut it's impossible to disassociate from muscle memory and not do it only in mocha, which results in loss of work because it closes without even asking if you want to save it first.
We been able to communicate this issue to the Mocha team at Boris and they have provided a fix for this issue. It is currently available to try out in the latest Beta builds of After Effects—please install the Beta and let us know if it is fixed for you as well or if you encounter any related issues with Mocha.
